I've enjoyed Napoli Coffee almost since they opened. Liz and Jamie, the owners, are lovely people, enthusiastic about their drink and food offerings, and always friendly and encouraging. Even in winter, I prefer iced coffee, and their iced Americano is outstanding. Never bitter, just super flavorful and perfect with a touch of half-and-half. They get their excellent pastries from Le Chantilly; a pecan bowtie goes perfectly with whatever you're drinking. Right now their hours are limited, but do stop in when they're open! read more

Discovered this coffee shop using yelp and reading consistent positive reviews. The price is similar to starbucks which surprised me as I thought it would be a little cheaper based off the reviews. However, the staff is very friendly and fired up in the morning. My sister came in town and she has to always visit the place because the flights are so cool and each one is themed for the time of year. They're super fun. You should def come try their flights. Their sandwiches are really good also (made super well and the cutting of the veggies and onions and meat) are picture perfect. On this particular visit they actually made me the wrong coffee. I didn't say anything initially and I wasn't going to. But, as I was the throwing all the food away and put the plates in the bins. The gentlemen that made me the coffee asked how everything was. I told him the sandwich's were super good. But I was honest and told him that I was made the wrong coffee l. He asked if he could make me the correct one. I said yes. He walked over hand delivered the coffee to my table. He also gave me a coupon for a free drink for my next visit. What amazing customer service. I will return now always when my sister visits and try to come here more often. it's far so it's a bit of a drive. While the coffee flight idea intrigued me $16-21 is out of my budget for a coffee stop. Finally, the space was echoy and loud, which I didn't really enjoy--it was hard to hear people talking. It was a dark and stormy morning. Suddenly a shot rang out. Actually it was two shots. Of espresso. And they didn't so much ring out as dribble. But they were hot. Dangerously hot. Like someone could get burned if it spilled on them. And the woman that made them for me banged the espresso holder thingy to get the ground coffee out. Loudly. I wouldn't say the banging "rang out" or anything but it was loud. Kind of. Then the shots went into my drink. It was a mocha and it was good. Napoli Coffee is a nice independent coffee house. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the shop is roomy and comfy, the coffee is good. And made with conviction. In the early morning when the sky is dark and the pavement glistens with cold rainfall the neon sign on the corner which reads "Napoli Coffee" and the neon coffee cup shine out like a caffeinated beacon for sleepy travelers. One of my fav coffee spots. I don't like anything fancy so I always order a basic latte, americano or breve. All have been good. I tried their breakfast burrito & it was a good. I had bacon red & smothered Christmas. I will say I much preferred the red. The green was flavorless & just bland. The red, although not hot/spicy had better flavor. The place is a decent size always clean & they have a miniature play area for small toddlers to entertain while you enjoy your coffee peacefully. I'm a fan of flavored coffee, so naturally, their menu was highly intriguing to me. Unlike the usual plain macchiato, latte, or cappuccino, I ordered the Lucky Shamrock because vanilla and Irish cream sounded heavenly in my caffeine. It came out to a little over $5 with my almond milk substitution, and I ended up tipping the barista on top of that, so I paid close to $7 during my visit here. My iced Lucky Shamrock was just okay. I couldn't really taste either of the flavors I really wanted to taste in the coffee, but that may have been because of the almond milk and ice. Even then, I had ordered an iced Zia latte at Zendo the other day and was hoping for a relatively similar level of jazz to my cup o' joe. The service at Napoli however, was great. The girl behind the counter was energetic and welcoming, who waited patiently while I glazed over their drink menu and baked goods, and took my order with a smile. I saw some other fun, unique specialty drinks on their menu that I'd like to come back and try, like the Samoa (I'm a HUGE fan of the cookies) and Crazy Nut. This place is located in a large lot, so plenty of parking which is a nice change to a coffee shop. Usually parking is hard, but this place was a breeze to get to. There is A LOT of space here, so it doesn't feel crowded which is so nice when you're trying to get work done. Not only do they serve wonderful coffee options, but they also have a food menu that I've never tried but see a lot of people come here to eat lunch. The pastries are A-okay, not the best as they carry Le Chantilly pastries(yikes) they were once good 15 years ago but now, get some real exquisite pastries(La Quiche Parisienne). I ordered a Gingerbread Latte which the syrup there using is probably old school too. Just horrible. I ordered a large dark roast coffee and realized this place is over rated. The coffee is weak. I thought a green Chile cheese bagel might hit the spot and ordered it with butter and cream cheese. When I received the bagel it didn't have a smear of cream cheese as much as a scrap. This place might have nice specialty drinks but the items I order reflect a level of thriftiness which affected my satisfaction with the product I ordered. It appears that Albuquerque is not the best coffee house place. I've been looking for a while and yet to find what I like for atmosphere. Napoli has come the closest so far and I would have to say it is a good feel. Unlike Starbucks, it has an open feel, so even if it's noisey the distraction factor is not there. They don't have loud music and the guy on the phone that keeps you from concentrating. People are actually talking to each other rather than their phones. There is art on the walls, a small area to occupy young minds, a bar counter area for singles and a decent outside seating area with a view of the mountains. I could probably read here, work on the computer, have a conversation, or just sit back and people watch. A little less echo and a nice cozy reading area would give it a 5 star. read more

I go to Napoli on occasion, when I'm running errands. It is a pleasant enough place. I like their coffee and the place is very roomy. I'm giving the low rating because of the new way that you have to pay. They take your order and payment on a little screen. Right before the guy walked away to make my order, he turned the screen around to face me. It asked if I wanted to leave a tip. It was so awkward because I didn't want to, yet I gave 30%. I don't usually tip unless there is a wait staff who brings my food to my table. I wish I hadn't allowed myself to feel pressured into leaving a tip this time, but I'm sure the pressure is intentional. Putting customers on the spot isn't a good way to do business. read more

Great study spot! This has to be my favorite local coffee shop to study at because of it's large size and it also the bar area that has easy access for chargers. It is frustrating when you can't find a seat near an outlet, so this isn't an issue here! They have a great selection of drinks and food, though the simple cafe au lait is my go to.
