I've been going to Napolis since I was a kid and it's always been my favorite pizza place. I still stop by usually once a week for a slice or two for lunch. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is anything besides pizza is just ok. Good food, but no where near the pizza. Good service. Never a super long wait. The focaccia bread is to die for and the Sicilian is the best I've ever had as well. All in all its a great place for a pie :) read more

I have eaten Napoli Pizza since I was a child so maybe I am biased. I like the thin floppy pizza with very flavorful cheese and sauce. There is only a few times where something in the pizza had too much salt, maybe the dough as the crust was a bit too hard but 95% of the time the regular cheese pizza is great. They have the best sauce for my taste and they make great calzones. The fried calamari and stuffed breads are very good as well. The owners are directly from Italy so I think that explains how come the food is so good. Remember this is a floppy pizza with a lot of flavor and some people like stiff and bread pizza. I have a few favorite pizza places and they are Pepe's and Napoli's in Connecticut and Spumoni Gardens, Grimaldi's and Joe's in New York city so I know my pizza and if you like flavor, Napoli's is for you. I recommend Napoli's Pizza and other dishes. read more

We have eaten at Napoli a few times now, including once outside on the patio. Because our preference is for a thicker crust (aka non-New Haven-style), we have always opted for the Sicilian-style. Have never been disappointed by the pizza & always have a bundle left over to take home. read more

The only reason I'm staying away from 5 stars is price, myself and my kids go and herein lies the problem, two of my kids love the ravioli and although I let them get it I grit teeth at the $13.50 for 8 ravioli, I'm happy they eat all of them but I still think it's a lot of Jing , other than that the food is always good and the wait staff is nice. read more

I've had Napoli's pizza for as long as I can remember having pizza. I've also had plenty of other pizza, and I can say with confidence that Napoli's makes a mean pizza. The taste is fantastic, the crust is just right, the toppings are fresh and the amount of bubbles in the pizza is perfect. The pastas, stuffed breads and desserts are all also very tasty, as I have indulged quite often here. The only downfall I think is the lack of energy from the waitstaff....they always seem to not want to be there when I dine in. I absolutely love Napoli although I haven't tried the pizza yet. I am really picky on Spaghetti sauce and this was the best by far I have ever had. I just recently Had the stuffed bread which was a little pricey but pretty good and the meatballs are great they are large and my 2-year-old son tears them up every time. It was pretty steady when we got there and quickly filled up for dinner. The hostess was quick and the waitress very attentive. This is the first time I was going there to sit and have dinner- a great choice. We chose a pizza and a pasta dish- both exactly how we asked for it and extremely tasty. I haven't eaten in the restaurant since they moved to their new location. The new place has a very nice appearance. We did have the opportunity to their pizza recently. We didn't care for it! We ended up chucking the leftovers which we NEVER do. For my taste it was too thick and the sauce was a little too salty. A great local reliable Italian restaurant. Open on Mondays and their customers return weekly. New items on the specials menu don't have as much confidence as their regular menu items. Interior has been updated to be more modern. Clean restrooms but dont try to call and make a reservation for 20. It won't happen. Get there early on a Friday night cuz the place fills up fast. Great food and service. New Haven pizza still a tad better but this is right up there. The dinners are awesome especially the specials.
