I don't understand all the negative reviews for this place. Went here with my dad for their Wednesday wing special and it was wonderful. Tons and tons of choices for wing flavor and sauce. We tried the new mango tajin wings and they were delicious. Service was prompt and friendly and the waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, the different sauces, and gave us a great recommendation. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd want and expect out of a family friendly sit-down place. It was clean and open and looked nice with the remodel. They have great happy hour prices and specials during the week and late nights. Will definitely be back for cocktails and wings. read more

Just had dinner at Native Grill. I tried the house special pizza and was very disappointed. The toppings on the pizza were not cooked. It appears that they took a pepperoni pizza, cooked it and then placed onions, peppers and pre-cooked sausage on top. I could not even eat it. read more

Came in on a Friday night and this was one of the only places still open to eat. One star off because of the hostesses who sloppily rushed to sit us down so that they could continue their personal side conversations about Instagram. Kind of tossed the silverware on the table and rushed back to standing at the front. They had karaoke going on which was funny to listen to in the background. Service was good and our waitress was nice. Food was decent. My boyfriend got the mushroom burger and we shared one pound of boneless wings. Sauces we tried: buffalo ranch dry rub, teriyaki ginger and spicy honey mustard. All were good and flavorful. When I go to a sports bar like Native, I don't expect to have exceptional service. Can this place get busy at times, absolutely. I am willing to guess this is the busiest bar on the north side of Maricopa. That being said, this place has decent wings, good pizza, and it's a sports bar. It can get loud at times and as I said before, it can get busy which means service will not be the best. Keep this in mind. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 5 STAR RESTAURANT IN MARICOPA. REMEMBER THAT PEOPLE. I am giving this place 5 stars because I enjoy it from time to time. Food is good and they have a great selection of wings. My family recently relocated from the east coast and was originally excited to check this place out. Maricopa is a small town with few restaurant options so one with an east coast vibe sounded comforting. I was incredibly disappointed with this place. There is nothing native, nor New York about this place. Its dark, low-budget decor is not welcoming at all. So a few oddly placed landscape photos of New York is supposed to help? The menu was equally disappointing. I ordered the ribs, oops, they no longer sell ribs here and haven't fixed the menu because it comes from corporate. So I asked if they offer any steak options. No steak either, not even a New York Strip? Does this chain think people in AZ are stupid and have never been to NY? I ended up ordered the fish basket but only 1 out 3 of the fillets actually showed up on time. Can we say Kitchen Nightmares? Our server, Kelly, was as sweet as can be so kudos to her. Her name was Danika and we're going to be requesting her everytime now. Unbelievable how awful this place is. My wife and I were dead tired tonight and decided to order Native delivered by postmates. 10 shriveled up, tiny, cold wings arrived, with almost no sauce. Cold floppy zucchini sticks, and hummus that was supposed to come with flatbread, carrot sticks, and celery, came with a tiny bag of 3 soggy celery sticks and nothing else. I ordered carryout buffalo wings. The staff seemed friendly and efficient, the general feel of the establishment was nice. The men's room was filthy and in ill repair. My order was served promptly and when I got home the wings were small and slightly above room temperature. I called and asked a manager how one cooks room temperature buffalo wings and was told that they are batch cooked in advance and kept hot. I do not see how they could be kept at a safe temperature if within five minutes they are as I received them. The manager offered a replacement, as that would have meant driving back to their restaurant I declined. read more

Was excited to try this place having just moved to Maricopa about a week ago. Got seated and served drinks fairly quick. That was good. We placed our order and that was easy and quick. Between 4 adults we ordered about 4.5 pounds of wings. I didn't realize that would take about an hour wait time...! We were so hungry just sitting there seeing people who came in after us get their food AND bills before us. So irritating. And our waitress didn't seem to mind us waiting. So my wife and I just bought a second home in Maricopa and have been exploring the local eateries....last night it was Native....atmosphere, lots of tvs- sports, service and food were pretty good. We sat at a high top in the bar (our preferred type of table) and were served by John-Michael, who was friendly and attentive- his service was 5 stars. Got the wings and burgers....both good - fries were outstanding. I gotta say though, for the number of beers on the menu, to not have more than one local option (four peaks kiltlifter) is really inexcusable. The one IPA was a national brand - and we drank the last two in the house. Cmon guys, with several fantastic local breweries nearby, ya gotta have at least a few of them available. Ditch the Sam Adams and bring in some San Tan - (would have likely gotten you at least one more star from me). read more

After a long wait to even be seated, due to no employee being near the lobby entrance to see us, we were seated, menus dropped on the table with no introduction and server walked away without a word. 15 minutes later she returned and I begin to ask about the reverse happy hour specials, she abruptly stopped me and said we don't have that. I then told her I'd just checked the website before coming down. She said, Really? The Maricopa location? In a tone that implied I was blatantly lying. Long story short. I wasn't impressed with my order -- asked for "Buffalo Fish Sliders" and instead got 3 small versions of a McDonald's Fish Sandwich - no sign of Buffalo sauce. Wife got the $12 appetizer sampler. Appeared to us that everything on it -- except for maybe the "chicken strippers" -- was fresh out of the freezer and into the fryer. Not much looked like it was house made. I liked the strips, but my wife wasn't impressed with those -- she did like the fried zucchini and onion rings. Beer selection was okay, service was meh. It is part of the Native New Yorker chain, so you can expect great wings, cold beer, and some unique food items like Puffs (bread stuffed with pepperoni/cheese/tomato sauce OR broccoli and cheddar cheese OR jalapenos and cheddar cheese. Their homemade potato chips are delicious. They also have burgers, sandwiches, and their famous Garbage Pizza. Their menu is HUGE. So take your time. We love the BBQ beef sliders and beef on kummelwick bread. However, the WINGS are to die for! Super yummy flavor choices beyond the orange hot sauce. Of the 15 different flavors we recommend you try the Pinapple Teriyaki, or the new Mandarin Orange for something rich and sweet. The Asiago Parmesan Dusted is a dry wing, but oh so flavorful! When we want to spice it up, we have the Strawberry hot, or the Honey Mustard Hot. First off we got in and it was a 15 minute wait..totally normal but I ordered when ready the native fries in which took (40 minutes). While my wife, daughter and mother in law ate their food which came out hot my fries were soggy and the chicken was tough as if it were over cooked. The wings are hit or miss. Sadly, the ratings for this place are accurate. I've been here a 1/2 dozen times and it's a cool place so long as you don't eat. Today, like other visits was disappointing. My food was cold, it sat in the kitchen long enough for the sauce to dry off and loose the overall freshness of a timely prepared order. I don't blame the bar staff as they are attentive and friendly. However, this place is in serious need of focus on the quality of the food they serve. This isn't taco bell or fast food dollar menu, you're paying$10 plus for an entree but your getting circle k nacho quality product instead. My apologies to circle k for comparing them to native. Place is okay for a sports bar. Inside is really dark and kind of creepy looking on a slow night. Tv's are everywhere to watch a game. My favorite time are tues and thurs because of their Wong special. I love their wings. My favorite are the strawberry hot which have a very sweet, not too spicy taste. I also like the spicy honey mustard, they have a garlicy sweet mustard taste. My bf loves to order the suicide, which are exactly how they sound, super spicy. The appetizers are just like any other restaurant. Service was very slow last few times I was there and the staff was kinda sad haha they really looked like they did not want to be there. Haven't been since they reopened but I will soon. Love this place. The food has never been anything but perfect. I like my wings plain, though sometimes I choose the spices. Sometimes it's get loud if there are a lot of kids, are sometimes loud because someone may have had a few too many and can't control their language, but the wings are excellent and the loaded fries or tater tots are really good. My wife and I stopped in whilst home shopping for lunch. They were busy for lunch so we sat at the bar. We were given our drinks right away and that is where the prompt service ended. The bar was serverely understaffed. The bartender was working like crazy by herself trying to tend a table with 8 people at it, the outside tables, and the bar at the same time. Occasionally someone would help her but that was not often enough. The Tater Tot appetizer was good though we did not receive plates and napkins until we asked for them. My wife ordered a cheeseburger without tomato... it came with tomato on it. I had the Reuben sandwich which was bland. I don't know how sauerkraut can be bland but it was. Paying the check was a a tad slow even with cash. I dont fault the poor service on the bartender. She was busy enough, they just need another person working along side her. read more

We ate here for the first time on the 14th. it's going to be our new local spot. we just moved here less than two weeks ago. Jordyn , she was hands down the best server we've had in a long time!!!! Our drinks were refilled before we ever even had to ask, our son has many food allergies and she took care of him, she even recommended downloading the app and saved us $10.00 off our ticket!! I don't know why people post bad reviews on here? we will definitely be going back!! the wings were great, the queso app was also great, and even the pizza was good! The wings are yummy and the beer is okay. Low stars for the horrible "regulars" that visit the place and management seems to let do whatever they want. Watched a lady get waaaayy over served at the bar when she should have been cut off. I said I think she's had a few but was told "oh that's just ***". Then their "regulars" will start fights with people and act like they own the space in the bar and outside! I like this place but the customers that they allow to do this have ruined it.
