Though the bar is nice, and they have Dragoon IPA, the food is just subpar! My wings were both cold and well quite frankly nasty! The Mango Habanero tasted like neither, and was just plain unappetizing, and the Ghost Pepper so called strips were both small and cold! The flavor was ok but nothing great! I'll go for the bar and the fairly decent service! But it's a NO on the food! Oh yeah and what is with that skating rink they call a floor! That's an accident waiting to happen! read more

I'm surprised this place has a low rating! Each time we've gone, the servers & waiters/waitresses have been friendly and food was always delish. This is our go to location of Native Grill. Besides the wait time, we haven't experienced terrible service or food. This is our wing & pizza place.. So when hubbs & I are craving wings, he pulls out his native grill app to put in a pick up order. Ordering on the app always earns us points=future discount. Ordering it to go saves us the hassle of waiting in line & we can eat it in the comfort of our home with a Netflix movie & some beer! read more

Try number two: this place has the slowest kitchen in town. It took forever to get our food. We also sat for a really long time waiting to get our credit cards back. I started getting paranoid that they were skimming my card, it was gone so long. This time I went for lunch and got boneless wings and a turkey on rye sandwich. The sandwich was nothing special, the fries were mediocre. The boneless wings were "habanero mango". They just tasted like Franks hot sauce with an extra kick. No sweetness whatsoever. I got some of the sauce on the side, and when tasted alone, I could taste a small hint of an artificial mango/peach flavor. I guess I expected it to actually taste like real mango. It was very disappointing. A friend got the "buffalo style" fish sliders. Just a heads up, there is no spice or sauce on it. It's fish fingers on a bun with tartar sauce and cabbage. It's really weird "buffalo" is in the title. Still haven't tried the pizza. I have low expectations. read more

We had never tried Native Grill, until tonight. I came in with my wife and 7 others. The restaurant, at least where we were sitting was clean. I ordered the boneless wings/w hot BBQ sauce. My wife got a club sandwich. The others got different things. It was pretty eclectic. The common thread was everyone was pleased with their food, our waitress kept the drinks filled and Chris (the manager), came by several times to make sure we were happy with our food and service. We've been looking for a new restaurant to go to (my wife always makes her favorite thing for dinner -- reservations!), we won't hesitate to come to Native Grill on S. Houghton Rd, again, so long as the food and service was as good as it was tonight. Well done, folks! read more

Nice food, but busy and slow. The slowness will drive you crazy with hunger slow. They have plenty of waiters and waitresses, but I don't think they have enough food staff in the back. The TVs and everything are great but you can't even hear them. All you have is music playing and no sound from them. If there was like the World Series or Super Bowl/playoffs I would want to hear it. Yay great first time at Native tonight! Well, I only ordered to-go actually... But my short experience was exceptional nonetheless! I ordered a pound of boneless wings with half honey hot and half spicy honey mustard. The honey hot were the bomb dot com! Sweet and saucy with a nice bite. The honey mustard were nothing to rave about compared to the honey hot. Service was fast and organized for being the grand opening. Great job to the newly trained staff. I am so excited to have a great wing place (wings are my favorite food) and sports bar next to my house! Yay!!!! Update: So I was drunk when I ate here and reviewed last time. Sorry not sorry! Anyways, I ordered the same honey hot on my boneless wings and I thought they were too sweet. I liked the medium buffalo my boyfriend got better. OK so first let me caveat this with we went for the first time on the last day of school at lunch time for the PTO fund raiser. Not the best time to go because we all had the same idea and the place was beyond packed. We finally got seated outside but it was a really nice day that was cool. I ordered a drink from the bar that was Okay. We ordered the loaded tatter tots they were good and I ordered Asian Garlic wings and my daughter ordered the boneless wings plain. The Asian Garlic wings had good flavor but they were cold by the time I got them, and as for the plain boneless (which we all know is like a fried giant nugget) were soaking in butter. The plate was covered in butter and my daughter did not eat them. I did not know that at Native Wings all of their wings are buttered after they are fried. I will probably give them another shot though because the Chicken Apple Walnut salad looked really good and I want to check out the bar. read more

Took family for a Sunday Lunch - Ordered Boneless Chicken Wings, Hamburger, Chicken salad wraps and Chicken Cesar Salad. For being a Grill/Wings location - the Wings were overcooked and dry - even with the sauce. The hamburger was also overcooked and dry. For the Chicken Cesar Salad - they must have put the dressing on the romaine lettuce earlier in the day because the salad was soggy and wilted. As for the chicken, dry, cold and overcooked. The only thing that was acceptable was the Chicken salad wraps - I would not suggest eating here. read more

The tater tots arrived hard and lukewarm and tasted freezer burnt, with that oily, fried one too many times taste. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the hangover burger was pretty decent even if it wasn't cooked to my order (i wanted medium, and got rare). With so many restaurants in Tucson, we're gonna spend our money on the restaurants that care about quality. This place deserves a negative rating. Two weeks in a row.....we stop here after my son's ball practice. Last week, my wings came out COLD....this week they came out RAW! My wife sent an email to their corporate office and a week later still no response. OBVIOUSLY they don't give a shit!!! Decided to order a pizza with a fried egg in top, but since the cooks are lazy, they threw boiled eggs on top...precooked for salads. I'm reducing native grill from four stars to two Stars. I really was hesitant to do this so I gave them chance after chance to improve our experience. We have experience with the ordering to-go orders and dine-in orders and unfortunately 90% of our orders have been made with errors. I'm going to focus on four specific incidents two on a to-go order and two dining experiences. However, we have similar incidents that have happened numerous times. We live in Corona de Tucson and we don't have many restaurant options close and native grill has gotten so many chances because they really are a local restaurant to us. The first to go order we ordered a pound a boneless wings and chicken platter we also ordered a loaded tater tot on the side. This order you're able to choose two flavors per order and on my order they got both of the flavors mixed up and when I called they said they believe they gave me someone else's order. They also only included two ranches for 2 lb of chicken. I called them and they apologized and they offered to give me a credit for the pound of wings that were made in error. A few weeks later I decided to go ahead and order and I ordered the exact same order however getting the discount on the one pound. When we received the order they didn't give us tater tots they did fries and they didn't give ranch at all. We didn't even bother calling in on this incident. We had Ranch and my fiance could live with the Fries. The first incident with the dining experience was we just received really poor service all of the wait staff stood in the middle of the room where the welcome desk is and didn't come by and refill drinks or get more Ranch and it was very frustrating. I even walked up to the desk and ask if they bring me Ranch and it took them 5 minutes to get the ranch to me. The guy that I asked which was in our waiter still stood behind the desk for like 2 minutes before he even walked to go find our waiter to ask him to bring this Ranch. I understand we were not his table but he could have simply walked back and got us Ranch and brought it out. The next incident they again gave me the wrong flavor. They corrected it however it's very frustrating whenever you order something and it's not properly delivered. Finally, I know I said I was only going to speak about four incidence but I'm going to include our last visit we went in shortly after the Super Bowl and the waitress took are drink order and then waited nearly 10 minutes and came back and when we were placed our order I asked for boneless wings and he also asked for boneless wings and she said, I'm sorry we're "out of boneless wings". She said we have plenty of bone-in chicken. We decided to get up and leave and go to the Mexican restaurant across the street. I understand it was Super Bowl weekend 2 days prior to our visit. however a sports bar that offers chicken wings should make sure everything is stocked well. It's unacceptable for a WingHouse to be out of wings. It is just been very frustrating. We may or may not visit them again. They have a benefit of being one of the only restaurants in our area. However, a customer can only deal with bad experiences for so long before the convenience of the location no longer matters, the customers will be willing to drive an extra 15 or 20 minutes to get a good quality meal and good service. When I wrote our initial review it was after just a few visits. They really haven't had a solid performance in our last 10 visits it just increasingly got worse. It is my hope that the restaurant gets their act together and we are not forced to drive an extra 15 or 20 minutes to get good wings and service. It's clear as their rating is dropping on Yelp this is a issue that needs to be addressed store-wide and not isolated incidents. read more

I come to this place strictly for the happy hour or drinks! The atmosphere is okay to hang out in and grab drinks and a few snacks with friends. The food is definitely mediocre and not the best. The staff is usually pretty friendly. Just mediocre all around. read more

I have been in several times. The last couple times they were severely short staffed, which has plagued many local restaurants. The waitress and bartender were doing very well at keeping up. Wait times were a bit long, but well worth it. Customers weren't complaining, it was pretty obvious when you look in the kitchen and at the staffing level, they were severely short, but they were doing an excellent job. The food was so bad that I wouldn't even give it one star but I didn't have that option. We ordered wings and they were desert dry, with a mound of grease, and they tasted burnt. I'm sure I'll be experiencing these "wings" for the next 8 hours. I'll never, never, NEVER order from this "restaurant" ever again. Got dinner ordered via Gurbhub from Native tonight. I've eaten here before and found it ok, but this was an EXTREMELY dissatifying experience. Granted they are super busy right now because of the pandemic and all, but then they should be taking fewer delivery orders. Food was nearly cold. Fries were soggy and half cooked, plus we ordered curly fries and there were none in the order. Of the three burgers we ordered, we ordered one each rare, medium rare and medium. Instead we got medium and well done. We asked to hold the mayo on one of the two green chili burgers, and they left it on. The menu described this burger as being "Roasted Anaheim chiles PILED on top of melted pepper-jack cheese, tomato, lettuce, garlic butter, and mayo." instead there was one pathetic chili that covered only the center of the patty with one tiny piece of tomato. AWFUL. Seriously, for the $12.00 they are charging for this burger, it should at least come with enough chilis that I get some in every bite. Last time I ever waste money here. read more

My wife, myself took our grandson to our normal restaurant across the street to have wings, but after seated and handed menus, were told they were out of wings. So we left and drove to Native wings on a Friday evening to try again to get some buffalo wings. First off, at Native Wings the parking lot spaces are really narrow. It was hard to even get my truck into the space. Upon walking into the foyer/waiting area with our absurd required masks, we noticed one couple waiting in front of us so we took out distanced corner to wait our turn. Soon after, a millinial couple barged in behind us and amazingly when the millinial server showed up to seat the next party in line, HE SEATED THIS COUPLE THAT CAME IN LAST!? I will never return to this establishment because of this. The wings were good once we finally got seated and served but we got 10 wings rather than the 12 we would have gotten across the street and they were priced a bit more. This mask thing has got to end because like I said its absurd. You need a mask to stand six feet apart while you wait for a table, but then get seated in a booth 1 foot from the party sitting next to you where no one wears a mask. I know its not the restaurants' fault but personally, I will not eat out "period" again until this absurd requirement has returned to normal, which probably wont be soon. The server that let the millinial couple take cuts in front of us and the other waiting couple will be the main reason however i will never return to this or any other native wings establishment. read more

My husband and I have been to Native three times now. Great that it's close to home, but it's nothing special. The service was good all three times; friendly staff and lots of them. They serve Coke products (Yay!). First time I had the pulled pork sliders. Bad. Husband had wings, which he loved. Second time I had the flatbread pizza - I enjoyed that. Third time I had wings. Lemon Pepper. A bit salty and a bit small, but the serving was fine for me. Husband had the Friday Fish Fry. Big piece of fish - cooked well. Best thing on the menu is the fresh cookie sundae. Freshly baked cookie in a small iron skillet with two scoops of ice cream. It is awesome! I would go just for that. read more

This restaurant has hands down the worst customer service! Called and was told they don't do reservations and there was a 30min wait. We arrived within 10mins put our name on the list and waited for 40mins. We went to check on the status and asked why we couldn't be seated at one of the 7 open tables. They said they were short staffed. We were then told we would have to wait an additional 20mins. This has happened multiple times when I have gone to this establishment. Very average. Sat at a table and told we had to move because it was for a big party. We moved but the wait er r didnt even offer to get us drinks. No one ever sat at that table the whole time we were there. Tabby was pleasant but I wonder if the waitress with the long blonde hair ever smiles.She told the other waiter to have us switch tables.
