Out of time and very hungry, we ended up at Native in Vail. Their $22.99 special was a salad, 10 wings, and a large pizza. Great combo and at a solid value. Let me preempt my review by stating that this establishment barely runs on the staff that they have. They didn't even have enough staff to open the patio and it was a gorgeous evening. Out waiter was amazing, but being understaffed does not help when you'd like another drink or some kind of service. The salad was a simple Caesar salad and was very solid. The boneless wings were great and we love the chicken and waffles flavor! The pizza was ultra greasy and while the bottom and the top had that nice char on it...the pizza was soggy and limp to pick it up and the genius who sliced it for us was too lazy to cut the entire pizza edge so we were ripping at it live cave people. For best results...don't even eat your pizza. Take that home and throw it in your air fryer... we actually enjoyed our pizza much more the next day. read more

Went to this restaurant on Saturday with my daughter, son in law and my two grandsons. The boys order boneless wings with bbq sauce, son ion law ordered boneless wings medium and my daughter and I ordered the fish and chips. The wings (all of them were hard as a rock, my son in law got bbq wings instead of buffalo sauce and my daughter's dish was missing a piece of fish. The waitress should have recognized the order wasn't right. She was very nice but $65 for lunch (grandsons are 7 and 10), then I expect the good to be edible and the order to be correct. Elvin, ask for him, the best server I've had in years. Good menu, many choices of wings and sauces or rubs. I chose the 10 piece, traditional wings with fries. Run was ancho chili lime. Wings were cooked perfectly! Not over cooked like most chains do to avoid any possibility of being undercooked.the rub was superb; flavor with a bite. Fantastic. Fries were crispy and hot. Served with ranch (a little thin) and ketchup and fresh celery sticks. Price was normal by todays pricing. I was full when done. I did have a couple of my Wife's Native Strippers, well cooked and nicely breaded chicken strips. Very nice. I ordered the personal pepperoni pizza, and there were six or seven slices of pepperoni at most on the pizza. For me it was also too thick.

Not pleasant didn't offer happy hour specials or food specials til I asked, then after 2 questions she gave me the happy hour menu....maybe should have started with that. Rough lunch. I hadn't been here in over two years and thought, what the heck, I'll try it again. The food is sad, a company this size should be better at developing the menu and executing it. One shouldn't have super high expectations for a corporate chain, but this one doesn't even meet that diminished expectation. The service was fine, they were obviously understaffed and missing a lot of opportunity. I get the feeling that the understaffed bit has more to do with the corporate culture than than the state of the economy. To sum this up, it's basically McDonalds quality food with table service and booze, only less consistent and frankly lower quality. Im an over the road truck driver so, I like stopping at restaurants that you don't normally see while on the road. If you wanna try something new that's not around your home and you're traveling on the 10 this is a good place to stop. Not my favorite native location, however it scratches the itch after I go and get my nails done. The wings are good and the ludicrously fries are delicious. The thing I wish would happen with this location is that they would monitor who comes and sits on the patio with you. Kids walked off the street, walked in the back gate and sat out there with us. Otherwise I've never had a extremely negative experience. I just know not order the mozzarella sticks anymore because they always come out cold. I ordered my favorite wings. This is in regards to the Native Grill and Wings off Houghton Road. Ok, the food was great the first time we tried the place. In fact, we had plans to make it our regular eatery and was almost a 4-5 star rating. It wasn't until my daughters girlfriend tried to get a job there where everything turned 180 degrees. My daughters girlfriend told the manager to not call her back as she will not be working at a restaurant that has no care about hygiene or cleanliness. Let me explain as this was her report... NOT PERSUADING MY OPINION - 1. The manager was constantly yelling at the employees. Not a way to lead a team. I can understand to some degree but not all the time. 2. Demanding new hires to train potential employees. Management needs training on how to lead a team. 3. Employees constantly on their phones and throwing a fit when asked or told to work. It is apparent that managers do not know how to treat people let alone run a restaurant. Not opinion changing but definitely a concern. PERSUADED MY OPINION - 1. NO ONE washes their hands or practices any sort of hygiene after handling food, touching anything, bathroom. No gloves used. 2. The back food prep area is a disaster (far from clean and presentable). PERSUADED MY OPINION AND SHOULD BE YOURS (On top of the hygiene issue) 1. Food handlers were seen picking up dropped food from the floor and putting it back in the bin. An absolute no no in the food industry. 2. Placing customers at tables that have not been cleaned or sanitized. ACTIONS TAKEN - I have messaged the CEO and no answer was given on the emergent state of Native Grill and Wings. I am no chef, but as a cook, I know the potential of hospitalization or death resulting from food mishandling. Native Grill and Wings is going to harm a customer because of their lack of training and/or management in proper food handling. Since the CEO has not responded or taken any action on their establishment, it is readily apparent that they do not care about the health and well being of their customers. We will not be eating there ever again and I would caution anyone else that does so until action is taken to protect the consumer. This is disheartening because the first time I ate there, the food was good. The atmosphere is fun, the cleanliness is horrible. It was not until I learned about actions behind the scenes that I wanted to vomit. read more

First, it was not crowded so no excuse for the service. We ordered our food, it took almost 35 min to receive it. Our salad had absolutely no dressing, we asked for dressing and never received any. We brought it up to the server and she brought our check back and literally threw it and said "she" gave you a discount. Which by the way wasn't what we were asking for we merely told her. The funny thing they gave us a military discount. Both my kids are military so made us laugh. I also asked for a separate check for my meal since I needed the receipt for work. I paid with one card, they took both receipts combined them and gave me one credit slip. I generously tipped Kaley since the food was not her fault and I chose to ignore she threw the original two receipts at me. When asked if I could get the original receipts back with the one credit slip she rudely said I guess I could dig in the trash for it. I would suggest Kaley receive some extra customer service training. I would not recommend anyone going to this restaurant. read more

The customer service has really become much better here over the last year. A big shout out to Tiffany, our server this evening. She went out of her way to make sure our late night dinner was really great! She was covering the bar and serving tables but was still really attentive to our needs. It was 40 cent "wing" night, so you can guess what we had! The ancho chili lime wings are fantastic, not too spicy and lots of flavor. They should be on your bucket list if you stop here! And the salt and vinegar wings are always top notch. I also like the number of televisions around the restaurant and the fact that all of the TVs were showing some type of Arizona sports. read more

We were the first people to get there when the restaurant opened and it was very slow so no reason for a 40 min food wait. I was charged $1 for a side of BBQ sauce that was literally 5 tbs ...maybe. My order came with fries, which were good, but I got literally 10. The wings were over $15 for 10 wings and they give you 4 pathetically small, drumstick kind (I'm sure this is not the right term) and the remaining 6 the other, cheaper kind. Always a great place to go sit down with family and friends. All workers are always smiling and always on top of everything.

We have been here at least 10 times since moving to Tucson 8 months ago and the food and drinks have always been great. Their wings, while not huge, are cooked and seasoned well. They are generous with dipping sauces unlike most wing places. Their happy hour can't be beat on the east side. Beer is always served cold and there are lots of food options. The pizza is surprisingly good. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because device is hit or miss. More than half the time, our server is good, but we have had a few visits that weren't so great. Love the new Saturday story time! read more
