Two days into his stay we got a call that his rear leg was swollen and he needed to be taken to the vet. We asked them to proceed since we were out of town and couldn't get him there right away. Less than twelve hours later we had a diagnosis of a spider bite that then turned into a palm size necrosis and ended with a large open wound which required a week stay at the vet and then had to be treated daily for treatments and bandage changes for 6 weeks. $$$$. When I called to inform the owners, Ed and Joan of the diagnosis and treatment to come I was met with the most cold, careless response I could have ever imagined. There was no responsibility taken and they never once asked how they could help. Monetarily or otherwise.
