Neb had such promise but fell short with the service. My group had a reservation at 6 PM and we finished dinner after getting our dessert at around 9 PM. We waited for 3 hours in total to get the full extent of our meal. Half of us opted for the Seattle Restaurant Week menu since we were new to the area and wanted to get a sense of what the restaurant had to offer. The restaurant week menu was $50 for a choice of an antipasti, pasta, secondi, and dessert. For the antipasti, you get your choice of a house salad or bruschetta. The choices for the pasta are between the gnochi or the cannelloni. For the secondi, you can either go for the braised spring lamb or the eggplant parmigiana. The dessert options are between the tiramisu and lemon sorbet. The winner for me was the gnochi but someone else from my table could not stop raving about the cannelloni so multiple dishes stood out throughout the night. The braised spring lamb was tender and fell right off the bone. I would skip the halibut - it was too salty! We also ordered a bottle of wine to share and the recommendation by the server was a crowd pleaser. If you're not sure what to get for wine, ask the server! Maybe it was because each course took a while to come out, but none of us were satisfied with the quantity they served because we had to wait so long. The restaurant did experience a rush of people during dinner time but to wait three hours for the full dinner at this price point doesn't feel too great, especially when we had a reservation. Had a great experience at Neb wine bar last night. The restaurant was decorated for Valentine's Day and felt so cozy! Our group of 3 sat in a corner and felt very comfortable. We decided on the Negroni flights- they were super fun! For starters we picked the bruschetta and Brussels sprouts. We then shared the dumplings with mushrooms and the chicken parm. We were in Seattle for the World Cup earlier this month and looking for an Italian restaurant. The concierge at our timeshare recommended Neb Wine Bar as his favorite Italian restaurant so we had to try it. The restaurant was very busy with a lot of the soccer crowd so we lucked out and Clare, the manager acted as our waitress. We could not be happier with the service she provided which included many questions we had regarding some of the dishes on the menu. Some such as, the Uni Spaghetti, which you don't typically see in an Italian restaurant Clare was very generous with her time and shared information. We ordered and shared family style and could not have been happier! The Uni Spaghetti along with all of the other dishes were simply 5 star delicious! Negronis were great too!! The star of the show, by far, was the broccoli. So delicious. I had the Negroni flight (left to right): 1. House Neb-groni 2. Speed twin 3. Betty white Speed twin my favorite. Betty White definitely taste the limoncello, a unique drink that gives a lighter Negroni taste. Nebgroni was good - very grapefruity. Service was great. I think people would enjoy their Negronis and the Japanese Curry Lasagna was different in a good way. Being billed as an "Italian" restaurant is just not true. There very little Italian on the menu. It's fusion Italian at best. Interesting yes but you leave feeling hungry, not feeling like you need to come back. During the meal, my table was talking about going out for a pizza afterwards (so long as it wasn't sister restaurant Serious Pie). The prices are ridiculous for the quality and quantity of what they serve, even for a city location. The wines are very much overpriced for the quality. It's just another Tom Douglas restaurant that overcharges for a fancy restaurant with a mid food that made to think it's inventive. Best thing I can say is I rather eat here again than a Jamie Oliver fake Italian restaurant, and I hate everything about Jaime Oliver. read more

Meeting some friends from out of town and so glad we had a chance to try Neb wine bar! Love the new concept and the food and drinks were fantastic. As a teetotaler, I was introduced to the Phony Negroni which was amazing. It's tough to make a mocktail that really nails the flavor of the full strength counterpart but this absolutely does. One must order is the focaccia. Slightly fluffier than the ones we've had in Italy but the flavor was outstanding. Other standouts were the Caulilini, the Pappardelle, and the Meatballs. Service was solidly attentive. Atmosphere is upscale, cozy and warm. Will make this a regular go to! read more

We came on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was fairly empty. The vibe of the decor was cozy/relaxed, and service was always friendly and prompt. We started with the burrata and added the olive salad to it, which I really enjoyed. I had the uni spaghetti and it was also delicious. For dessert, the only option available was the ube tiramisu. I'm a big fan of tiramisu but I thought this tasted just alright, not really my favorite tbh. Great service and food, but very very small portions for the price. We first tried their Negroni flights, which really hit the spot. The "Balti's" charcuterie board was high quality, and the crab dip full of flavor. We also had two pastas: Pesto Pappardelle and Lasagna, both with wonderful flavor but extremely small portions. This place has a great vibe that is relaxing, with different types of seating all fairly separated from each other - perfect for a date. We ordered the uni spaghetti, which has salmon roe and nori, and the Alaskan black cod, which includes marcella, fennel, tomato, and kale. Overall, both are common dishes we enjoyed, but agreed neither stood out. The wine was EXCELLENT - I would come back just for the wine. First time visiting Neb, I didn't realize it's the location that used to be Serious Pie. Such a nice quaint little spot for a date night. My wife and I grabbed dinner before a show at Moore Theater. Service was great, not rushed and very attentive. The food is phenomenal, we wanted to try everything but can only fit so much in! We started with the bruschetta and it was a flavor bomb, so light and delicious, the focaccia it comes on is some of the best I've ever had. My wife and I shared the cannelloni entree and the roasted broccoli for our meal. I've never eating broccoli that tasted this good before, I want to eat it every day! The Cannelloni was delicious, fresh pasta just melted in your mouth. We will be back to try more and bring our appetite, had a wonderful meal. read more

This was a really lovely experience and we would definitely recommend it! We loved all the food and drinks we had. Everything was very fresh and well-balanced. The uni spaghetti was probably one of the best spaghettis I've had in Seattle. This is also a super cute little spot with very warm and intimate vibes. Great for a date or more intimate gathering. The service was fantastic and really stood out as the servers going the extra mile. They gave excellent recommendations and were able to accommodate our requests. Heard about Tom Douglas' latest restaurant and knew I had to try! Palace Kitchen has been a dinner night staple for years. It's small and cozy, greeted and seated quickly. The staff were so friendly se super helpful in making recommendations. Did a bit of a tasting menu and everything was tasty and paired well together. Since it was our first time we ordered a lot but would have been fine with a start and entrees. Started with some mussels and cabbage, both were light and flavorful. Followed by the daily bruschetta and the focaccia bread with apricot Jam. The focaccia honestly stole the show! Crunchy, but fluffy and sweet. *chefs kiss For dinner we got the Black Cod and Short Ribs but savory and satisfying! And for dessert the Apple-Fennel Crostada which was actually very light and not very sweet. Will definitely be back to try more food on the menu! read more

The newest restaurant from Tom Douglas has a wonderful Italian menu, nice ambiance and great service! Stopping in there this evening for a quick bite I had a wonderful choice of many Italian wines, both in the bottle and in the glass. There were several Negroni options and I picked one that was absolutely delicious! A few fun different variants on bruschetta along with a nice little meat, cheese and bread plate was a great way to start the evening. The menu itself had quite a bit of options, but nothing jumped out at me initially. I ended up going with the mushroom lasagna which wasn't bad, but also didn't really impress me. I felt like it should've been a bit thicker and maybe had some more or cheese along with it. After that, we ordered the Uni Pasta with salmon roe & nori (pictured). This must be the standout dish of the menu! Very unique flavor, absolutely delicious and a real treat for sure. Dessert options were limited but they did have a few interesting things. We ended up going with the apple pastry topped with a ricotta whip. I would've liked to have seen tiramisu on the menu. I know it's rather expected in an Italian restaurant, but maybe some sort of interesting/unique variation on it would've been fun. Also, there were several dessert drink options, such as dessert wines and cocktails too. An espresso martini or some sort of a chocolate cocktail would've been nice. The service was very good and the staff seemed fairly knowledgeable about the products, especially considering that it's only been open for 48 hours. We popped in for a late dinner...a lot of places downtown are closed by 9pm. Since we were staying at Hotel Andra this was a convenient stop. We had eaten at Serious Pie and had breakfast at Dahlia Bakery, and drinks at Lola which are all under Tom Douglas. Neb was a disappointment. I will give it was intimate and all new for a "wine" bar, however it was a select list of wines that didn't appeal to us. The menu options we chose were chicken and provolone meatballs pepperonata, parmesan polenta and the smoked short rib fingerling potatoes, fennel thyme agrodolce, citrus butter. These are both not a dinner option. More a tapa or small shared dish. 3 meatballs and a few slices of short rib plus 3-4 small baby potatoes for two people left use raiding the snack drawer back at our hotel. The price without drinks was already $50 and we didn't want to keep adding to our order to fulfill our appetite. I think this place was a bit of an afterthought. The layout weird. The cooking station you essentially walk right into. They have 3 other doors they have to go to for supplies and oddly the place is separated in two by a glass window. Not sure if they took over an existing space or built it out, but it isn't especially interesting. Service was great and chefs greeted us, but it's not an enticing place. Neb wine bar was a lovely place to spend an evening. Several of the party have recently moved to Seattle from Europe so it gave us a nostalgic feeling of being back at restaurants at home. The interior decor was cosy with wooden candlelit tables and chairs where we spent the evening with food and wine. The waiters were attentive, and came over to check when needed. Food was great - we really enjoyed the mussels, the cod. The uni pasta had a really good flavour but was a little on the dry side. Desserts were average (Ube tiramisu and cannoli) but with the lack of dessert places elsewhere in the vicinity, it was not a bad choice for something sweet. read more

The interior is still cozy, and the service is good, but the restaurant itself is an overpriced disappointment. The $17 broccoli side a was such a small portion I thought it was a mistake. Then the pastas arrived. Almost all hover above $30 for a small serving of only average taste. There are so many better Italian eateries in town I don't plan on returning, but I will still frequent Lola's across the street where the food is a lot more flavorful and interesting. read more

I ordered a delicious glass of Pinot Grigio and my partner had the Negroni sampler (super fun concept). We started with the artichoke dip that had unexpected and delicious dill flavor and the cauliflower that was packed with flavor. For entrees we had the pappardelle and chanterelle mushroom pasta. I hate mushrooms but this was epic. The homemade pasta was light and delicious. We also ordered the cannelloni. It was also very good with a citrus finish. I felt it was a tad over salted. We finished with tiramisu that had a lovely coconut cream flavor and was very light. Portions are not huge, but we left very satisfied without feeling uncomfortable. Celebrating my sisters 50th birthday at Neb, super underwhelming. I never write reviews but this was so disappointing. The atmosphere was very nice with candles lit all over the restaurant. Service was so, so, not his fault they seemed understaffed. We were told to order about 15 plates for eight of us to share, i was surprised at how many were suggested considering 8 of these were pasta entrees. The website shows all these wonderful looking dishes and lots of choices, not the case. Very limited menu and the portions were so small, i mean we felt ripped off. We all felt this is a great date restaurant night if your just wanting some vino and apps. Too bad Neb i hope you can hang on. I will say i have worked restaurant in Seattle for many years and owned small businesses and times are hard for the industry right now.
