We stumbled upon Willmott's Ghost on DoorDash after a 3-mile uphill hike from the morning, absolutely STARVING and craving pizza. We had never heard of the place, but when we saw the 2-for-1 deal on DoorDash, we jumped on it immediately. Honestly, we were so hungry we thought we could each finish an entire pizza! Our hotel was just a short walk away, so we headed over to pick up our order and were pleasantly surprised to discover that Willmott's Ghost is actually inside one of the gorgeous Amazon Spheres. The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable and has such an elegant princess like ambiance. Since we were starving, we asked if we could eat our pizza inside. They graciously said yes, as long as I ordered a drink. I ordered a gimlet, and let me tell you.. they make a really good gimlet. And the deep dish pizza? AMAZING. But what really made the experience special was the hospitality. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Even the manager came by to introduce himself and gave us several great recommendations since we were new to the city. That kind of personal touch really stood out. It honestly felt like one of those cute little movie moments where you randomly stumble upon a hidden gem you never expected to find and somehow end up having one of the best experiences of your trip. I brought some family members to the Spheres and we made reservations at Willmott's Ghost. Service was OK, food was good but not WOW good at all. Three stars were removed for not having any actual ghosts, and also for the food poisoning. Or perhaps explosive diarrhea is a sign of a haunting. Not sure, I'm no Ghostologist. A very nice place aesthetically, though. Perhaps a bit pretentious. Typical high Seattle prices for unremarkable food- at least the night that I was there. This place was such an amazing experience and the food was wonderful! It ended up being the perfect restaurant to take my guests from out of town. We really enjoyed the cool atmosphere of being inside the Spheres. We all got the Giardiniera Vinaigrette Salad, which was delicious and fresh. It's not really advertised on the menu, but when I asked for salad they gave that option or a Caesar salad. We also got the Yukon Potato Pizza which was so flavorful and unique. I really loved it! It does have a little bit of a spicy kick to it, just so you know. Also, a word of advice about the parking. Be sure to tell the parking garage attendant at the Amazon Spheres parking that you are going to Willmott's Ghost. He first told us the lot was full and had us do a u-turn. Then we mentioned where we were trying to go and he said, "you should've told me that part. Now I can let you in." Also, be sure to have the restaurant validate your parking. 2 hours is free. Without the validation, the attendant said he couldn't let us leave. lol. So we had to call the restaurant and they validated it over the phone. We will know what to do next time! read more

Willmott's Ghost was located in the Amazon Sphere's. It took us a little while to figure out the entrance, but it had a nice view once inside. We snagged a reservation like an hour or two before. It was in walking distance from where we stayed. The interior was cute and modern with a view of the pizza oven. We also saw them making the bread right there while we were eating! Our table of five ordered a drink each. They were good. For food, we sort of just shared a couple things. We got bread, Halibut, pizza, and clams! It was all decent, nothing too special. The Halibut was a little bland but buttery. The place was on the pricier side, and not sure if it was worth it. The server was nice. Yes, it has a great vibe, but there aren't many option for varying dietary needs (can we have more salad options please?), its sometimes too loud due to lack of sound insulation, and as a short girly, I think some of the booth tables are too high. There are other places nearby that don't have the vibe, but you can enjoy your conversation, have more food options and not be penalized for proximity to the mega-corp in the surrounding area. read more

This place has been on my bookmark for a while. So when our work team wanted to do a celebratory lunch, I was excited that we are being treated here! Here is the breakdown: The bad: - Service: We reserved (and confirmed ) for 10 people, and when we got there, it was set for 8. No biggie for us-- but the host really showed that they were annoyed that they had to set up for another 2 seating. Our whole team just looked at each other confused. We wanted to thank the other server that compensated for the host -- because they were annoyed the whole time - Serving portion: ok... so it is a set menu of 6 Antipasti and 3 Insalata/pizza. The Antipasti are tapas sized servings-- literally a "cup". They served us 2 sets for 10 people. So one cup/ one serving for 5 people. We had to take small bites and a spoonful of food. If 2 people dined here, they will get the same amount of food. The serving size for 10 people was not enough. We paid 1k for this lunch.... Please do better. I really give this place like a 3.5 . This place can be really expensive as you're paying a premium for the ambiance and location of being inside Amazon's iconic Sphere's. We came here after work for some drinks and bites and while we weren't able to get a table, we were seated at the bar immediately. If you'd like a table I highly suggest you book in advance as reservations go quickly for peak times. The food was good, but kind of expensive. Not pictured was a burrata with kumquat which was deliciously paired with the focaccia, I think this was one of my favorite things that I ate! The richness of the burrata paired with the tang/sweetness of the kumquat went really well together. One thing I was disappointed with was the Manila Clams. Understandably, seafood always comes at a premium. I just feel that the flavors of the ingredients were not incorporated well and overall lacked a bit of flavor. However, their Manila Clam dish seems to be on a rotating schedule of different medleys so if you see something that catches your eye definitely try it. The pizza was very yummy and I loved the thickness of the crust! I feel like the preserved lemon was a unique pairing with the sausage and cut through the heaviness of the pizza. The tiramisu was the best way to end the evening. The bartender, Brett, is the BEST. Wonderful drinks, carefully made , even down to how many espresso beans he put on the espresso martini! Shared a bottle of Bolgheri Russo on his recommendation and it was perfect accompaniment to the food. I don't go out of my way to drive to this area often so I have now visited this spot only a couple of times within the past 4-5 years. Both times were very good experiences. The food from what I can remember was tasty, especially the pizzas. During this most recent visit, a friend and I had just finished dinner a block away and spontaneously decided to grab dessert here. Upon arrival, the host was very accommodating. There was a bit of wait so reservations are probably recommended. However, the host was kind enough to take our drink orders while we were waiting for a table. Now what we came for was the tiramisu, since it is one of my most favorite desserts. They make it absolutely perfect here, my only complaint is that I need it in a bigger size. Lots of parking in nearby garages! It's free to park on evenings and weekends :) read more

I had a fabulous meal here on Saturday evening. We were able to get a table for 2 without a reservation a little before 6 pm. I would recommend a reservation, though, because it was starting to get busy as we were leaving and the restaurant is a tad small, although if you want to play the odds, I bet sitting at the bar would still be an option. We weren't very hungry and somewhat undecided while we were browsing the entree options, but after seeing a plate of focaccia arrive at the next table, we decided to go with a few shared appetizers instead of entrees. My husband and I shared the burrata and focaccia (two separate appetizers, but a perfect combination), Kraken fritti and scallop crudo. Everything was fantastic. I'd say the scallop crudo made the least impression. The Kraken fritti (fried calamari) was light and crunchy and I loved the lemon aioli that had a little chili kick to it. The burrata was creamy and delicious. But the real star was the focaccia. It was phenomenal. If you read my reviews, you may know that I try to keep it keto, but wow, if you're going to splurge on some carbs, this is the place to do it. We shared two desserts (hey, once you've splurged...), a cannoli with figs and pistachio gelato. The cannoli was good but we agreed that the gelato was the better of the two. It had just a little coarse salt on top and was perfect for slow savoring. The service was friendly and helpful but unobtrusive and the ambiance is beautiful. I even brought my phone to take a photo of the pink tile in the bathroom. If you've ever been to a Renee Erickson restaurant you may already be in love with the aesthetic, but this restaurant has the added feature of being in the Amazon spheres which are full of greenery. When we were asked if we wanted to sit indoors or on the patio, I was confused thinking that the patio would be out on the street (although I didn't see one when we walked up.) Cute spot in the Amazon spheres. We sat at the bar. The bartender was the sweetest! To drink I had a Mexican Coke and my cousin had the drink with fig. She wasn't a fan of it. She said it was a little too strong for her tasting. We shared fried gnocchi and a pizza. It was kind of awesome because they give you the option to choose half-and-half for any pizza. So we got half margarita and half sausage. Personally, I think the pizza was OK but the gnocchi was delish, although I do wish it had some type of sauce on the side. Service was decent, still had a wait even with reservations so that defeats the purpose of reservation? The foccacia had good spongey texture, but taste like a breakfast pastry than a dinner fancy garlic bread. And for some reason, the sausage pizza taste like lasagna, which was disappointingly odd to say the least. The most unfortunate was the Black Cod dish. The decor was beautiful, modern and sophisticated. The parking in this area is difficult. We found a local parking structure. I ordered a drink, the "Good Days." It was filled to the rim with ice and hardly any drink for $18. It was not worth it. I would suggest you get your drinks elsewhere. We ordered 3 pizza's. It took a while to get our food which was fine since we were enjoying the ambiance. The issue was all our pizzas were over salted. Perhaps the chef accidentally went a little too heavy handed on a pinch of salt. The pizzas tasted alright. They give you a pair of scissors to cut your own pizza. It was very pricey. I felt the margarita pizza lacked toppings. Overall, come here if you want to enjoy beautiful decor, feel fancy and get expensive food and cocktails. Great for a drink in a "fancy" place. We like to come here for a celebratory drink, if someone's visiting Seattle or if it's an occasion. The menu is MASSIVE. You have many options to choose from. Before touring the Amazon Spheres, I had the pleasure of dining at Willmott's Ghost, a cheerful and bright Italian restaurant at the base of the Spheres. We made a reservation on Open Table, but the restaurant was not crowded on a Monday afternoon. Our server was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. When it came time to order, we decided to share the little gems salad and two pizzas for our group of four. We ordered the Margherita and the Sausage + preserved lemon pizzas. It was just the right amount of food for a satisfying lunch. The salad arrived first, and while it looked unpretentious, the lettuce was fresh and crisp, the vinaigrette was light and tangy, and the seeds added a nice crunch. It was an outstanding salad that I would order again. The pizzas came next, and they were served fresh from the wood-fired oven. Each pizza was served with a pair of golden scissors to cut slices into any shape or size. The Margherita pizza was solid, but the sausage pizza was an unexpected favorite at our table. The preserved lemon added a burst of acidity that cut through the richness of the cheese and sausage. Ok if there's one thing you order here, it's gotta be their pizza! All their pizzas are made using a focaccia bread base, which features all the features that go into making a good focaccia--super fluffy, bouncy, and airy while still maintaining a good bite. I have to give a shoutout to my favorite--the Clam Pizza. After having it for the first time, I just had to come back to have it again (and nothing else). Some reasons why I love it: the aforementioned foccacia base, the clams taste super fresh (wild caught?? if that's a thing), and they do not shy away from toppings (lootss of clams and chives to go around). I will say the one bit they do a bit overboard is the amount of olive oil. The pizza was drenched in it and can be a bit much and messy too. I also ordered the Asparagus which was also really good. The vegetable was cooked perfectly soft not like some chewy, stringy, old asparagus. The sauce that is paired with it is a perfect pairing too, but again, kinda heavy on the olive oil especially if you're ordering a pizza to eat along with it. I think the price is worth it when it comes to the pizzas because they're quite large and can feed up to 3 people (especially if you're ordering sides to go with it). However, everything else on the menu seemed a bit overpriced for what you get. The space itself is a really cute--modern design that includes a delightful color theme of pastel pinks, teals, and blues. They also have indoor and outdoor seating. I met a coworker here before my meeting yesterday and walked in and it was so cozy and inviting inside. They have wonderful pizza that's cooked in a dish and served with a scissor that was delicious. Very crispy crust. I love the ambience the most, and they have a full bar. It's a great place right in the spheres. Wonderful for a business meeting. And right next to Amazon day one. Went there for lunch with a colleague on a Tuesday. I was surprised that there were plenty of tables since it is located in the Amazon spheres and every other restaurant looked crowded. Still, we were seated in a small crowded section of the restaurant while more than half the tables were empty - I didn't mind but it did feel rather odd. We decided to order several apps and skip the entrees this time. The focaccia was divine - freshly baked and served right out of the oven. The suppli was flavorful and had a nice bit with a crispy shell and gooey interior.
