Came to this place on a weekend and was surprised to see that it was not very busy when we had arrived, but this was probably likely due to events happening outside, which is not a reflection of this restaurant. The restaurant itself is pretty open and feels like a casual dining experience rather than an intimate experience. The waiter was friendly and accommodating, and the service was not bad. What was annoying? Was there was a female waitress or manager or something pretty much on him the entire time and checking in on us a minute after he checked in on us and doing table service literally a minute after he did it. Having him by himself would have been OK and we did not need her. It became very excessive and annoying. Besides that, I ordered the brisket gnocchi. The gnocchi itself was not bad, but the brisket was a bit dry in my opinion. The sauce definitely did help, but I think it was just a little overcooked. However, I don't think it was that bad. Prices are pretty reasonable. read more

I got a brisket gnocchi, grilled shrimp and cannoli, everything was delicious! The brisket is very soft and so is the gnocchi it's not too chewy like most places. The shrimp was delicious as well very well seasoned and a lot of butter! The cannoli (came with two) tasted great too but it was pretty very small for $10. The service here is great I came with a large group of 8 and we got every dish in a timely manner. Decor and ambiance is lovely. I will definitely come back to try more! read more

This is for catering. My work recently moved to the Pioneer Square area we weren't far before about 8 blocks south. One of my managers was having one of clients at our new office. He wanted it a little more special than sandwiches and salad from our go to for meetings. I loved that he selected a business in our new neighborhood. He ordered way more food than he needed so the rest of the office got to enjoy the left overs. Pick up went smoothly even lent him the warming carriers to keep the food hot were so close it's easy for him to return them. The menu included three types pf pizza, a gnocchi with braised meat my favorite, a creamy tortellini with sausage I believe, a veggie rotini. Bruschetta, caprese, Caesar salad, and a wild green salad with apples and blue cheese. They aren't usually open till dinner on the day we needed the catering but still did our catered lunch. Looking forward to visiting them for lunch some time so I take photos and check out the restaurant itself. read more

My friends took me to Luigi's for my birthday two nights ago, and I couldn't be happier we chose to go here. I had the bolognese, and it was hearty and tasty! The atmosphere was relaxed, like a mom & pop. Our servers helped each other out, and checked in regularly, even dropping a little joke or comment about the music. My wife and I arrived around 6:00 PM on a Wednesday and were seated immediately. Luigi's seemed inviting and it was a short walk from our hotel. A few minutes after being seated a waiter came over with water and we ordered. We had a few pieces of garlic bread, I had the brisket gnocchi and she had the gnocchi sorrentina. We decided to have a piece of tiramisu for dessert. As depicted in the photos the portion sizes were extremely fair and very tasty. Our waiter could have been a little stronger which is the reason for four stars. I would highly recommend visiting Luigi's. read more

We came here with a group of 5 and were seated pretty quickly. We ordered a bunch of dishes and shared them all. The inside had a lot of empty space which was nice since it was not too crowded inside. We had to wait a pretty long time before the food came out. Found Luigi's off yelp reviews - great find! Vibrant neighborhood especially fun with the Santa crawl! We enjoyed our dinner! Pasta is solid here. We loved loved the brisket gnocchi and Rosa pasta. The Caesar salad was good but not unique. The pesto pasta had a delicious basil flavor but the side chicken could have been grilled more. I had a craving for Italian and quite frankly didn't feel like walking far so I settled for Luigi's and glad I did. Food was great and very tasty. I ordered the Caesar salad, an order of cheesey garlic bread and the Rosa pasta which I could have ordered another order it was that good. The salad was what you'd expect, your run of the mill Caesar which is not a bad thing. The cheesey garlic bread was recommended by the waitress and it was good if you love cheese and bread like I do. The Rosa pasta was amazing, pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was creamy. Staff was very friendly and always attentive and the ambiance was nice, casual and relaxed. Definitely would recommend this place and be back when I'm in town, not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews. read more

We arrived at Luigis around 5:30 on a Sunday and there were few patrons. We were promptly seated. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Oddly enough, they were playing reggae. We ordered gnocchi and the basilico. After a long day, we quickly drained the liter of water provided. We didn't see our waitress, Tara, until our food arrived. We were surprised that for ~$20 a plate for pasta without meat we didn't receive any bread with our meal. The gnocchi were good, but a bit soft. The basilico was good, but an average cook could perform better in their own kitchen with store bought ingredients. It was well after we finished our meal that a second member of the wait staff came to check on us and provide water. I intended on ordering the tiramisu, but due to the poor service and overall experience decided it was not likely to be good and certainly not worth the hassle. Overall, we felt the meal was decent, but left a bit hungry. Leaving, I turned to say thank you. We unexpectedly stopped in at Luigi's after having a poor experience at a nearby restaurant. Ambiance felt like an old school Italian restaurant and felt very spacious. My husband is celiac so we were excited to find an Italian restaurant with a lot of gluten free options. Service was quick and food didn't take too long. I ordered a gluten free pasta with meat sauce and my husband ordered a gluten free lasagna which he was thrilled was an option. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Luigi's is a cute Italian joint in pioneer square! The food options were Italian classics that you can't go wrong with. If you're looking for a full plate of pasta this is a great join. They have some vegetarian options available as well. The portions were also pretty great considering the prices as well. The servers were extremely kind and considerate, shout out the them for seating me so quickly and continuing to seat folks even though they were almost past close. We visited while on vacation in June. It was a wonderful experience and we loved the food. The Fettuccine Alfredo was fantastic. My son and I were sharing two dishes and we were both trying to snag more than our share. We enjoyed our meal so much that we wanted to go back before our vacation ended. It's a fairly big place so it could accommodate bigger groups if needed. Carbonara was amazing!!!! It had good amount of pieces of pancetta and it was creamy m, garlicky and I was not disappointed with my choice. Pepperoni pizza was good. It wasn't a Neopolitan style crust with pillow like dough as I had thought but crust was full chewy and yummy. We had to order extra order of garlic shrimp because it was sooo good. We ordered garlic bread so we could dip that in the sauce. Service was good but it was harder getting their attention when we needed something. But when they did come around they were attentive and catered to our needs. As for prices, i thought it was fair pricing. Pastas we're all under $20 unless you wanted to add extra protein. Love the pasta dishes and the garlic shrimp appetizer. They have a very-very good margerita pizza. Good bartender and good wine. If you want a nice meal, a pleasant place to talk while eating, and are in Pioneer Square ... you should stop in.
