Visiting from out of town and we were recommended to eat here by some people we met. Called and made a reservation for 9 of us at 6pm and showed up on time and we were seated right away. Interesting thing happened with the menus. We had 3 kids with us and we were told that only 1 kids menu was allowed per table. However the table next to us had 2 kids and they were each given a kids menu. It's a piece of paper so not sure why they couldn't give more than one. Dinner was ok. The gluten free pasta was one of the better ones I've had. We ordered a couple pizzas and 3 of them were perfect. 1 came out and was literally cold. But we didn't send back because who wants to wait when the rest of the table has their food? We paid and we were finishing up our drinks and the kids desserts when I am assuming it's the manager came over to us. It was 730 at this time and told us that they had another reservation for 9 people coming in and they didn't want the people with the reservation to have to wait. 1. This person was dressed very unprofessional in jeans and a t-shirt while the rest of the staff was dressed in all black and tidy. 2. It was flat out rude. We had a reservation too and could have been approached with something like a time limit or asked if we were getting ready to leave. Instead we were basically told we'd have to leave after spending $400 on our meals and drinks. I would not recommend this place. Happy hour or busssst! Truthfully- not sure if I'd come here for any other time other than Happy Hour, but the deals are truly one of the best for the area. BUT - even then... 5 dollars for *gasp* - two meatballs. It's a good meatball to be fair, but that's tough fr. Wine and beers = $5 is honestly quite the deal And pies for $10 is incredible value. HH apps are $5. It's a nice after work spot. Real mod decor, plus you get to be immersed in the bustle of the kitchen and see the beautiful tiled oven pump out pizzas. This restaurant is amazing we got our food in under five minutes after ordering and this pizza and pasta were good! The pasta was perfectly al dente just like my 100 year old nonna makes it. Stopped for lunch after some appointments. Got there just before noon on a Monday (holiday) we were sat right away. Very friendly staff. We tried some of the lunch specials. The pizza tastes so light at airy, and the pasta sauce was so fresh tasting. Located in South Lake Union, easy walk if you're in the area. Inside was clean and had plenty of seats. I used to be a regular at Tutta Bella's Columbia City location when he worked in the area, so I decided to try out their 'downtown' restaurant at the REN for Seattle Restaurant Week. The location is bright and open, but very loud. It would be hard to hold a conversation with your dinner partner. I chose the beet salad, Roberto Pizza, chocolate torte, and had a cider for $35! The beet salad was fine but not very memorable. The Roberto is a unique sausage pizza with a crushed pistachio base, rather than tomato or pesto. It has always been my favorite and did not disappoint. The pizzas here are Neapolitan style, very very thin crust. You can eat them with a knife and fork or roll them up to eat with your hands. The pizza was definitely the star of the meal. The dessert torte was gluten-free, which may explain why it was a bit dry. It came with whipped ricotta, berries, and a scoop of gelato, which is a nice touch. The service was a swing and a miss. Service was slow; it took quite a while to get a menu, place an order, and pay. I was seated at the bar, and the bartender checked in with me, but my waitress did not. A staff member came up when I was half-way through my entree brandishing my dessert torte. He said they were out of the vanilla gelato that comes with it, and recommended the lemon cookie flavor instead. If I had known that before the dessert was plated I would have ordered something else. Maybe they were under-staffed that day? It wasn't a bad meal. I might try again during a Seattle Restaurant Week, but there are other, less expensive Italian restaurants in the area that I prefer. The service doesn't really match the atmosphere. I believe it was just our server. Extremely slow and not a busy Thursday night. The staff was sweet, but very out of their element. Service was super weird and disorganized. All that aside, if the food were good I'd have no complaints. They list spaghetti vongole on their menu, but it's actually spaghetti vongole rosso. That's pretty disingenous to me. If you're gonna be bougie and give every plate the traditional Italian name........ then give it the traditional Italian name! Nobody I know orders spaghetti vongole expecting rosso. Furthermore, that was really mid (arguably bad) spaghetti vongole. Entirely flavorless except the clams were fishy and the tomato puree was tomato-ing HARD. All you could taste was raw tomato... on the menu it says "tomatoes" which apparently means "pureed and all over the dish". Lastly, the clams. I don't know what y'all did to them, but why were they?? Kinda gross?? This is coming from someone who's favorite food is spaghetti vongole (clearly a personal subject for me lol). Briney is good........ these tasted fishy. You'd basically have to hold me at gunpoint to keep me from eating a plate of clams, but something in my gut made me put these down. Maybe it's the rosso of it all-- culinary trust eroded. Sorry to say it, but this was a bad experience. I do feel they're capable of more though. It's a nice restaurant and the staff are very kind. For transparency they offered to take it off the bill after noticing I barely touched it and I declined (I regret that haha). Staff offered a dessert to make up for that and the weird service (much appreciated). Unfortunately there's just no real repair for that whole situation. Spaghetti/linguini vongole is that serious to me. Please spare it from your raw tomato torment or at least write a more descriptive menu listing. read more

No. This is a bit of a delayed review, as we had visited late September. We were a little hesitant on visiting this location after some of the reviews, but still visited. Of course, in hindsight, we wish we didn't visit. We made an online order to pick it up. Ordering online was okay. Not the best experience, not the worst experience. Came by at the appointed time to pick up the order, and they weren't ready. Told us to come back in 15 minutes. Came back in 15 minutes; still not ready. Waited outside for another 15 minutes; still not ready. It basically was around 1.5 hours from ordering to when the food was ready. What made it worse is that the pizzas were ready at probably the 1 hour mark (we saw it just sitting on the counter with our salads on top), but the pasta didn't even get started yet. So, by the time we got our full order, the pizzas were cold, the pasta was rushed, and utensils were forgotten/not included. Overall, food wasn't great. Pizzas were cold when we finally received them. Salads were wilted/warmed up after sitting on the pizzas during the time we were waiting for our order. Pasta was piping hot, but it was so rushed without proper draining of the extra water that it was wet/diluted when we started eating the pasta. For a $100+ meal, it was a disappointing experience. We could've probably had better foods and a better experience if we had gone elsewhere. Heck, it may be a better experience dining in (though it was very loud and lots of large groups when we were came by). read more

Recently came back once again but for a special occasion with a large group and it was a wonderful experience filled with good food and service! While ill always miss the patio seating overlooking westlake street in the previous location, i love that the new location offers a more broad spectrum of ambiance that is suitable for upscale and casual dining. Their aperol sprits still hits the spot which is awesome and i particularity loved the rigatoni pasta, mushroom gnocchi, piccante dolce (sweet n spicy perfection), roberto (the pistachio flavor was chefs kiss) and the arancini. We had a cake from outside that we had for our special occasion, and despite coming early prior to our reservation and asking for cake fee, we had to unbox and cut the cake on our own. Most restaurants accept a cake for a cake fee (cost of using restaurants forks, plates, storing the cake, bringing the cake with candles then taking the cake back to cut and serve) but for some reason tutta bella didn't offer the latter part. The margherita pizza was to die for. There was so much tarty sauce paired with thick mozzarella. I highly recommend ordering this! I also tried the cacio e peppe pizza, which I will probably pass on next time as it wasn't as mind-blowing for me. I will say this place is pretty pricey for pizza. They have a buy 3 get the 4th free deal, and it was $75+tip for that. So technically that price for 3 pizzas is pretty steep. I did a to-go order online and when I got there to pick my Margherita pizza up the service was good. My problem was that when I I opened my pizza to eat it in my car it was cold.. and extremely soft and thin. Finally came here after a lot of people told me this was a Seattle classic. The food was alright, very standard Italian food, nothing special. We got a pizza and gnocchi to split. The gnocchi was cooked well but the chicken we got with it was definitely frozen chicken which ruined the dish for me. The service was fast too which was nice. However, I don't think this meal was worth $50 dollars, maybe $40 if that. They have outdoor seating and it had a nice view of the space needle. I online ordered a 10 in pizza from Tutta Bella on a Friday afternoon. The expected pick up time was 18 minutes after ordering, which was not bad at all. When I arrived there, the location was quite full, with most of the inside seats taken. There was also a very nice outdoor patio area! When I arrived to pick up my pizza, it took around 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and help me out. My pizza was immediately given to me though so that was nice. It was lukewarm though despite me arriving exactly when the expected pickup time was, so maybe if I had come sooner it would have been hotter.
