Nice little place with limited seating. Very fancy coffees and smoothies. I felt the glorious green smoothie lacked substance and tasted like a watery green juice. Fast service

Nectarine Grove is my favorite gluten free haven in San Diego. Every single item is gluten free and many are vegan as well. Each time I come, I try something new. The cinnamon roll has a great structure and a generous amount of cinnamon. The icing is optional but I highly recommend it. I love being able to indulge in gluten free tests that are difficult to find elsewhere. The lines can sometimes be slow but it's definitely worth the wait. All the seating is outdoors but the umbrellas provide good shade.

Great little lunch spot located within flower hill in Del Mar. They have an excellent selection of sandwiches, salads and pretty unique paleo coffees. Nice little outdoor eating area, perfect for sunny days!

Food was great. Pesto turkey was delicious and warm. The salad dressing was an orange light dressing. The honey latte was creamy and flavorful. It wasn't overly sweet which was nice.

I was able to try the chicken salad toast and it was pretty good. I wasn't sure if the dressing was for the side salad or the toast but I felt the chicken salad toast would have had more of a tang if a lemon was squeezed over it. I ended up pouring the dressing over the salad so if it was meant for the toast that could have added the tang because it was a lemony dressing. The toast bread was flavorful, soft so it wasn't hard to bite into. I didn't order the food so not sure how service is but I've driven by it a few times and it's a cute little place tucked on the side of the plaza building on the right.

    Bakehouse Breakfast
    Cristina v.

The Bakehouse Breakfast was BAD. Ordered scrambled eggs and they were like two chewy and tasteless patties - the explanation was as ridiculous as the eggs ("we are using small egg pan.."). The sweet potatoes looked like bird food (see picture) and the butter came as small (very) cold cubes that were hard to spread... Oh, have a mentioned the bacon? Yes, two skinny, soft (!!) and fat pieces of bacon. Maybe the drinks are good - because the breakfast food, is very low quality. Very disappointing

Nectarine Grove is an absolute standout--everything on the menu is 100% gluten-free and incredibly delicious. From their fresh bowls and satisfying sandwiches to wraps and baked goods, every item is thoughtfully made and bursting with flavor. You'd never guess it's all gluten-free--because nothing feels like a compromise. And then there's Angela. She's kind, considerate, and genuinely cares about the people she serves. She goes above and beyond to make sure you feel welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of. Her warmth and attention to detail turn a great meal into a meaningful experience. The food at Nectarine Grove fills your body with goodness, but Angela fills the place with heart. A beautiful spot made even better by people like her. Let me know if you'd like to add a personal anecdote or a "Don't miss this dish!" line!

Croissants. Real. Croissants. If that wasn't enough of a review, I'll try again... CHOCOLATE croissants. Real, soft, layered, buttery, giant, warm, fresh, chocolate croissants. The kind that will spike your blood sugar and happy hormones over the edge. I've so far, over two visits, have also tried two of their quiches, their "hostess cupcake," and their cinnamon roll. Their pastry case is where life begins. Go, eat, get a little chubbier, and be blissfully ignorant of what gluten is. This is a 100% dedicated gluten free bakery and you'll not have to worry about cross-contamination here. Many of their items are also lactose free. They have an outdoor patio with seating that is ramp accessible.

Nectarine Grove's bakery in Del Mar has absolutely delicious gluten free pastries! Their croissants are unbelievably amazing, as are their cinnamon rolls. This location is a cute little cafe with great takeout vibes in a convenient location, I absolutely love popping in for a tasty gluten free treat!

    Bakehouse Breakfast

Eggshell in my food. The scrambled eggs are not even scrambled eggs just patties. "Fresh berries" the blackberries are sour and the strawberries are mushy and old. I just don't get the hype. Don't come to this place because they promote it to be "healthy".

    White peach iced tea
    Mei T.

After brunch and shopping, my MeetUp Fun Diego Ladies and I stopped by for some afternoon tea and coffee. It was a bit warm out, so I ordered the white peach iced tea that came with 1 free refill. Not bad for $4. I enjoyed the mild tea flavor, unsweetened, just how I like it. The cute barista taking our order was very pleasant and helpful in answering our questions about the menu. We enjoyed the coffee and tea here. They have nice big tables outside, but what's missing is a restroom.

We got seated quickly in their beautiful outdoor patio area with our 2 pups! The food was absolutely delicious! The wonton tostada, DEFINTELY my favorite!! I wish we got more orders! I was apprehensive about the tangerine in it at first, but it brought such a delicious sweet flavor to the tostada, literally devoured it so fast lol 20/10! The bone marrow quesadillas were good. The bone marrow was juicy, melt in your mouth flavor! I like to add a squeeze of lime on the marrow as well, tastes so good that way. The quesadilla itself was okay, tbh I could've done without it as it wasn't anything amazing. The bulgogi burger is on their monthly special menu! It's listed as sliders but when we came, our server informed us they only have it as a regular burger for the time being which wasn't an issue for us! It was delicious & filled with so much flavor! I loved the crunch from all the veggies inside as well. The fries it came with had some sort of sugar salt which wasn't my favorite, but still good. Overall we had an amazing first experience and will definitely be back & bring our family/friends!

Service was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. My kid loved the Mexican French toast (really tasty), and my wife's enfrijoladas were also a hit. For my main, ordered the chilaquiles verdes with birria. The meat was solid, but the chilaquiles themselves were a bit flat on flavor. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with birria. I really wanted to love it, but it just didn't hit. That said, I'd definitely give this place another shot. It's a great spot with a lot going for it--I'd just try something different next time.

I was greeted by two people behind the counter and was told to feel free to ask questions and try one of the samples they had. They also let me know that there were additional items that I could buy to take home on the shelves and in the cooler, so take my time looking around. There was so much good gf stuff! We ordered the Turkey Pesto Panini and the 'Trust Me Dude' Panini which came with a side of chips. Both were delicious but, Trust Me Dude... you're gonna want to try that one cause the name all the sudden made sense with the first bite. It was unlike any sandwich I've had before, in the best way possible! I also had the double chocolate cookie and didn't even get a picture cause I ate it so fast, it was that good! The cafe is spacious and had indoor and outdoor seating. They also had a shelf with games and a chalk board mentioning different themed events like game night and cookie decorating classes. It feels like they are not only trying to create a great restaurant, but a little community. They also take allergies very seriously so you can feel safe here. Can't wait to go back and try new things, so happy to have this new gluten free option available.

Based on the description, I expected an individual round quiche that was approximately 4 inches in diameter. Instead, I received a relatively small slice cut from a larger quiche, which was nowhere near what I would consider a 4-inch quiche. It essentially looked like a small little cake slice. They also don't display the quiche, instead they hide the quiche in the back so it just kinda feels deceptive. To make matters worse, the quiche itself was somewhat dry. For $10, I expected a 4" quiche and a better overall experience. I was genuinely excited to try this place and had high hopes, which made the experience even more disappointing. Hopefully the description can be clarified so future customers know exactly what they're ordering.

Two Visits - Happy Hour & Late Night…read more 1st Visit - After reading the reviews for the Postino Del Mar restaurant, I suggested trying it for happy hour to a business associate whom I was meeting for the first time. When I made the reservation, I asked if it was possible to find a place that wouldn't be too close to the bar, as I didn't want the typical happy hour noise that might make it hard to hear one another. And they delivered! My business associate got there before I did and asked how I reserved such a prime spot! She was seated right next to the outdoor fireplace! We decided to take advantage of the $7 glasses of wine they offer until 5pm for happy hour and asked our server, for a suggestion on something to nibble on. She immediately went to the bruschetta board and said we could pick four different types to make up our board. Not only were they a delicious delight, but the fact that arrived pre-cut made dividing them up much easier! Our server treated us to a dessert - hot donut dots, which came with tasty dipping sauces. What a sweet treat, literally and figuratively! 2nd Visit - The next time I returned it was to join some family members who were there dining but because I had already eaten, I just joined them for a drink. So this time I got to sit on the inside, which was just as enjoyable. We had a server who was training another server and they both did an outstanding job. It was a first visit for my family members and they were really impressed with what they had eaten and the service. So whether dining inside or outside, the atmosphere is wonderful, the food offerings are delicious and the service is top-notch! I can see this easily becoming a local go-to place when trying to decide where to go with friends.

Restaurants are way too loud in general, but some things are outside their control. Playing music too loud for people at the same table to have a conversation is not one of them!! Also, the Postino website does not allow you to complete their online survey--at least not if you are giving them a poor rating. I tried several times and concluded that they have it set up to prevent you from submitting a sub-par review. Not really interested in constructive feedback, I guess.
