I am updating this review. The first time I ate on the balcony at lunch today and it was absolutely lovely with such a great view. It's giving all the good vibes. I had the almost BLT on ciabatta and it was delicious and it wasn't lacking in any ingredients at all. I've had pizzas here before as well that we're good and I didn't have to worry about parking because it's just a short walk from my office it's fun to people watch people down in the park. The waiters in the staff are extremely kind and welcoming. I've also had their chicken salad sandwich which was delicious and my coworker says the brussels sprouts are her favorite thing in the world. I'm glad they were able to speed up their lunchtime service to accommodate people on their lunch break the waitress anticipated my needs and wasn't intrusive she was great read more

We went on a day trip to Bastrop and decided to stop here for a bite for lunch. The absolute most amazing part of this place is the view from the patio outside. The restaurant overlooks the water and big, old trees surround. It's really something, especially when the weather was nice (like it was yesterday at around 11:30 am). Neighbor's is casual and dog friendly, which I thought was great. Our waiter, Matthew, was kind and helpful. The food was tasty but not out-of-this-world. We got salads and their OG dip with chips. Went to a cute restaurant in Bastrop. It has plenty of patio seating, and it accommodates dogs, which was nice because I had my dog with me. It also sits right next to the Colorado River. And from the patio, you can go to a little park, walking area, where kids and dogs can play. Our waitress Maddy W. was awesome. She answered all of our questions and checked on us multiple times. I do have to say that my food experience was very different from my family's experience. We all ordered our food at the same time. First, we ordered appetizers and drinks. For our appetizers, we got wings and Brussels sprouts. For drinks, I ordered a Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita, and my daughter and husband both got sodas. I do want to point out that they have their own sodas, not national brands. Our drinks came out almost immediately. And then Maddy came and took our food orders. My husband ordered a pizza. I ordered a pizza, and my daughter ordered pepperoni rolls for her meal. My pizza had two kinds of vegetarian pizza, one half was the green goddess, and the other half was the green goat. It was delicious! Then my husband's meat lover pizza came out. Probably after about 15 minutes, we were still waiting for my daughter's food and our appetizers. They still hadn't come out. When I gave Maddy a heads up, she apologized and advised us that the kitchen was behind on orders. I told her if our food didn't come out soon, that it was okay because we were almost done eating, and my husband shared his pizza with our daughter. The manager came by and apologized again and advised us that our food would be out shortly. When it came out a few minutes later, my daughter's pizza rolls were super hot. Unfortunately, she was not crazy about them because they did not have a lot of marinara sauce inside. My Brussels sprouts also made it out, and they were amazing!! My husband finally got his wings, and they were okay. While I waited for my daughter's food, I ordered a different drink, it was called an Old Pro. Both of my drinks were very good. I would definitely go back again. But my daughter and husband may try different food items, and we might not get appetizers if they are super busy. read more

I do enjoy they have the personal sizes. The OG come back dip was just okay in our opinion. This was the only one I could find in Bastrop and it is worth the visit our server Shaw took great care of us and kept the beers and the food coming in the pizza is hand down some of the best I've ever had absolutely loved it, I highly recommend visiting this location. I think if you're a local this will become the best regular spot ever. If you're from out of town it may not be worth the effort in peak time. This place peeks out from the roads of small downtown Bastrop which means parking itself is a challenge- there's suburb streets a few blocks away for free but factor that into your approach. Getting in you can get a table inside or walk a fair ways down stairs to an outdoor park with tables. No one explained so we eventually figure out you have to walk to the bar to order- and the downstairs bar only has the bottles/canned basics for drinks. The outdoor space IS lovely, right next to a large hill and river- comparable to the delightful Wilmington Delaware river area, kids were enjoying wearing themselves out scrambling all over. The food WAS hot and delicious. I loved the Philadelphia cheesesteak pizza though the crust was a bit soggy. The bathrooms were super tiny and get crowded as well. The live band was a great addition to the atmosphere and funky style but definitely a bit loud right next to the seating area. Again, if it's an easy place for you to get to, I can see why you come here all the time. It is memorable and I'd recommend if you think it's worth a bit of hassle. read more

Late post. Found this place while out to town. Got there at an odd time between lunch & dinner and were able to sit at the bar. They quickly accommodated our request to switch a tv to Astros play off game. We ordered a large Caesar salad and bartender/server mentioned splitting it up. Fantastic idea! Very generous portions. We ordered the El Camino real(everything pizza). It was absolutely delicious. We only finished 1/2. Staff was great and owner was friendly. Took our dog with us and sat outside on a beautiful day. Started with salads, which were both good, although an acidic dressing on a tin plate does bring forward a bit of a metallic overtone (a subtle one, but it came through in the spinach salad). Both the spinach and the Greek salad were generously topped. About a quarter of the spinach was a bit wilty, and they must have noticed this when they plated because all the wilted leaves were on the bottom. Still, it wasn't a bad salad. Our pizza choices were The Hawaiian and the pizza off the month - Bacon & Brussels Sprouts (with a balsamic reduction). The next time we order pizza here, we'll order extra toppings (such as extra Canadian bacon on The Hawaiian). They provide "just enough" (see photos) and we like generous toppings. They were out of one beer (Czech One Two) so we ordered a Yard Dog (a Kolsch) and a Marzen My Stein (which are each 5.0% ABV and brewed there on the property, I believe). My favorite restaurant in Bastrop. Best pizza around. The pretzel bites appetizer is AMAZING. Craft beer brewed right here in Bastrop by Iron Bridge, which is the same owner. They come out with new brews pretty regularly. Mondays they do 1/2 price margarita pizza & margaritas. Every month they do a pizza of the month & drink of the month. The staff is always friendly, we've never met someone we didn't like! They also have an amazing patio, tons of seating, right on the river. Bands play on the weekends on their stage outside. read more

This place is awesome! Because it was so so hot we could not sit outside and enjoy the view of the river. So after a few minutes of waiting we were seated at a inside picnic table. There is no menu just a QR code to access it. We ordered pizza, pizza, pizza and two salads. One spinach and one Caesars salad. One pizza was the beef and onions and FIL asked that the kicken sauce to be taken off. The. When he got the pizza he said it was too dry. The cheese pizza was a cheese pizza. The hubby's pizza which was the BBQ pizza was good. The spinach salad was good and no complaints for the Caesars salad. It's a very busy place and the building is just awesome. The restaurant literally lives up to its name! Walking up, you feel like you're at home with your neighbors- it's a friendly and welcoming vibe. A bit of a wait on a Sunday eve for dinner, but no worries as we wandered off to check out a local shop directly across from the restaurant. Our server was Sophia, super sweet, and the best! We ordered the black eyed hummus dip- came with tortilla chips and veggies- really good, the four of us shared and finished it off in no time. I ordered the gettin figgy with it pizza- pancetta, arugula, goat cheese, balsamic fig glaze- omg it was deeeelish!! Ordered the personal size, portion was just right. I recently met my boss at Neighbors mid afternoon. I was not really hungry so I just decided to order the pretzels and I could not believe how delicious they were. The pretzels have good flavor and the dipping sauce was great. They did have a limited drink menu when I was there and I will say I did not care for my drink at all. They made me another one and I did not think it was much better, so I will not go there for cocktails but definitely will go back for the food. We had a friend recommend this place after we visited the dinosaur park down the street. There are just a few parking spots near the restaurant and if they are full you have to park on the main street or down one of the side streets. We came about 12:30pm on Friday afternoon and had to park a block away. The restaurant is nestled right on the Colorado river and the view is amazing! We were promptly seated and greeted by our amazing waitress Joyce. (Service was fantastic!) Bonus - if you go to the dino park prior you get 10% off your meal here! My fiancé and I shared a Ceasar salad and got three orders of wings. The salad was great I just wish they would serve it in a bowl. Wings were fantastic and we enjoyed the house wings, beer guzzler wings, and the classic buffalo. The beer guzzlers were just way too hot to me but my fiancé's mom who loves spicy food was in wing heaven!! The kids got the pepperoni pizza rolls which were amazing!! My mom saw this awesome restaurant on her morning show Saturday. She wanted to go so we went! It was a beautiful day, and we took a drive up through Round Top from Houston to Bastdrop. We got there around 330 p.m. that Saturday, and decided to take a walk around the shops until we were seated. Already a wait in the middle of the day. Seems to be a popular place in town for sure. Perfect area to walk around and enjoy Bastdrops little treasures. We received a text that our table was ready 45 mins later. My mom said she heard about the pizzas, so we all had to try one of their personal pizzas. My mom ordered their Margherita pizza, my dad ordered the green goat, and I ordered the hot lil' honey! My mom told us a story that this restaurant was owned by a husband and wife. The husband gave his wife a bee hive for her birthday and made her own honey. The reason why I ordered hot lil honey was because one of the main ingredients drizzled on the pizza was her very own authentic habanero honey! I couldn't pass it up and sooooo glad I didn't. Nice and SPICY with that sweet kick I have been looking for. They don't just say it's hot.. it really is HOT! So if you aren't into spicy I wouldn't order this pizza, but if you are a spicy rager (like myself) I say it's one of my favorite spicy, honey glazed pizza's I have ever tried. I wouldn't change anything about it. Although, I did add fresh basil to my pizza, which did give it an even better kick. They also make their own beers... I tried their orange dreamsicle inspired beer, which wasn't half bad! They have a stage if you follow the stairs down where they have live bands playing in the evenings. Super awesome outdoor vibe. What a great hidden gem off of the main roads in Bastrop! This is an old general store building that was picked up and moved to this property right by the river with views of the Iron Bridge. The outdoor patios are multi-level and give great views to the river. The pizza is delicious and fresh, good wings too. It all comes out piping hot and pretty quick! The staff is all super welcoming and kind. The manager spent some time talking to us about the building and the property - they patch the floor with old license plates giving it a real authentic feel.
