For Fayetteville, Rockin' Rolls is a great option for affordable all-you-can-eat sushi. We came in right at 5 PM when they reopened for dinner. The conveyor belt had a decent selection with plenty to choose from, I enjoyed what I had, nothing that blew me out of the water, but solid for the price. Hot appetizers ordered through their tablet were also enjoyable and worth it for the value. The hibachi entrées, however, were a letdown. My protein was dry, and while I get that most people probably come here for sushi, the other menu items shouldn't feel like an afterthought. Service-wise, we were seated in a corner near the bathroom, a "blind spot" where staff can't see the table directly. Plates started piling up fast, and eventually we had to flag someone at the register to clear them. The manager came over right away, was genuinely apologetic, and took care of it. While I understand that it's the dinne rush, I still want to make the point that we didn't just have a few plates, it got to the point where we barely had room to eat. For tables in blind spots, there needs to be more attention from the staff so things don't get that backed up. The ambiance isn't terrible in other parts of the restaurant, but sitting in a blind spot feels awkward, especially when your view is a shelf stacked with cardboard boxes. Overall, I want to rate it between 3-4 stars, but Yelp doesn't really give that option. We like this place alot. The employees are very knowledgeable to explain what is going to take place as soon as we walked in. Many different varieties of sushi for an affordable price. I've order the hibachi shrimp and the steak separately. Both dishes was excellent. Very tasty. The appetizers I selected was the gyozas, shrimp tempura and fried veggies. I am from New York and often visit my mother in North Carolina and every time I visit Cross Creek Mall, and because I enjoy their food so much I make sure I order my Cooked Sushi roll from this restaurant before leaving the area. However, one of my friends rode down to North Carolina with me this trip and I took her and my special needs brother to Cross Creek Mall because my brother loves to shop there. I decided that I was going to buy my favorite sushi roll before we leave, but my friend wanted to eat in. My brother did not want anything from there because he bought a large pizza from Sam's club. Now this is when everything goes left! They require you to pay before you sit to eat (which is not a problem for me), but, after I told them that my brother was not eating here, they still charged me for three people instead of just 2. I repeatedly said that my brother was not dining, then the cashier stated that even if he doesn't eat and he sits with us he has to pay. I asked that cashier, "Do you really expect my brother to stand at the side or wait for us outside until we finish eating?" Then the cashier said, "Well, we don't know if he is going to eat or not." Then I asked" So you are trying to tell me that even if he does not eat you are charging me for him to sit with us?" Then the cashier stated, "I can't bend no rules for no one!" Then I said "I did not ask you to Bend any rules, all I said is that I don't like your policy and you can refund my money." Then she told me that the supervisor will be here in 5 to 6 minutes. When the supervisor came, she was very pleasant, I voiced my concerns, and she refunded my money with a pleasant smile. In conclusion, just because some other customers told them a lie and stole food without paying, doesn't mean that all customers will do the same, because if my brother did decide to eat, you better believe the bill would be paid. Maybe, if they absolutely need that policy in place, there should be a stipulation that if the person actually doesn't eat, refund the "Advanced Just in Case They Eat Extra Payment" back to the customer who paid for the person who did not eat anything. Other than that situation, on the take out side I would give 4.5 stars. If no one believes me, take 2 or 3 of your friends or family with you, and one or two of your friends or family don't want anything eat but they just want to join you while you enjoy your lunch or dinner, let's see if that restaurant still charge you for whoever did not eat with you as if they ate a meal as well. First time it wasn't busy so we had no problem getting the stuff we wanted. Second time it was busy and my favorite - salmon sushi was always taken by the time it reached me. I found out I just can ask them for it and they will bring it to me without having to wait. The choices of sushi is very limited. Some stuff is pretty good. Overall the sushi and quality isn't amazing, but it's VERY GOOD for the cost of the meal and how much you're getting! It's like a cheaper, limited all you can eat. The quality of the sushi here is ok but the price you pay for AYCE sushi kind of makes sense about the sushi sizes. I think it's by far the most affordable place to get subpar sushi here. So many places in Fayetteville charge $10-$15 for a roll that is just covered in sauce and I've been to some who obviously served me old fish. You pay $12-$17 (depending when you go) for unlimited sushi, hibachi, etc ...kinda worth it. IMO. it also has unlimited fries, chicken nuggets, and other stuff for kids/non sushi eaters. How fun and exciting! I waited for as long as I could after they first opened. I love sushi and I have seen the conveyor belts in other cities, but had never been to one. Husband and I arrived a little after 12 and there was not a wait, but it was pretty busy. I will say that nothing was really explained to us other than where our seats were. Once you pay and find your seat, you go to the station at the front to get all your sauces and your drink. I have never seen that much wasabi all in one place, and a drink dispenser of soy sauce! The counter spots that don't have a booth and table are a little hard to navigate as you pull more and more plates. I learned that lesson quickly. Also the little tablet at your seat allows you to order hot items, we had an order of spring rolls and crab rangoons. They came out super-fast and were hot and fresh. The same young man that brought those out was also the one to come clean some of the plates away for us. He joked with us that some people like to have a competition to see who can get a higher stack of plates. I ate quite a bit. You can see my pics of all that sushi. I will say that I think I was a little grab happy at first because when we initially sat down, that conveyor belt looked barren. I guess I thought, let me grab some stuff while its still here. I only had to be patient and wait for them to fill it all again. We were only there around 45 mins and we saw several of each item pass us a million times. Husband has not really gotten into sushi, but he tried all the fried rolls and also some edamame for the first time. He said he would gladly come back here any time! Some of the sushi was maybe not the best quality, I found that some of the rice was drying out on some of them. Over all though everything was tasty and well presented. Establishment was clean, music was a bit loud. There is a touch pad at the table so you can order non sushi food which is cooked to order and delivered to your table or booth.. There's a conveyor that wraps around tables and booths that are supplied with many different Rolls and three desert choices which you open the case door and grab it. The cons I have: no one explained how the system works to get food or the touch pad when you enter, desserts seemed like dollar store treats, kitchen staff slow to replenish rolls and some dinners didn't close their case door after grabbing rolls causing the case not to stay cool in temp. The service was great. The host explained how unlimited everything was. It was kept quite clean and they were fast with delivering anything we ordered apart from the food on the belt. The sushi was great and it was a cool experience. We really enjoyed our time there AND I didn't end up regretting it when I tried something new. I was a little curious after a member of our party asked how they keep track of the amount of time things sat on the belt. I think they track it with the colors of the plates but I'm not completely sure. Overall the food was good. They come by and they pick up your plates, trash and scrapes in a well paced manner. It was $50 for two adults and a 10 year old. I'm guessing under 2 years old, they eat free because we also had a toddler and he asked if the baby was 2 which we replied "no" to and had no charge on our receipt. The preteen sat next to the window where the belt is and I'm sure he was overwhelmed by his decision at some point but we made it into something funny by having him grab things when there was little time to. It was a great family experience and I definitely recommend trying it. Our favorite sushi options were the dynamite roll, the volcano roll, the Las Vegas roll was everyone's absolute favorite and I think it's a very safe choice for someone new to sushi, and of course veggie rolls don't have any meat in them, there is a type of sushi that has a little crispy hat and I believe that is tofu for anyone that might want to try it but isn't sure what it is. This was my second time here. I can't get enough of all you can eat sushi! The first time I went on a weekday around 4:30 and the place was pretty empty. Also the food on the conveyor belt was fairly old. It got better as time went on as more customers came in. This last time was a Saturday around 6:00 and it was much busier. I had to sit at one of the bar chairs besides the booths, virtually no arm room between you and the other chair. The food was much more fresh this time. I think I put down 15 plates and some fresh Crab Rangoon's so I think I got my moneys worth! The only thing I can add as a critique is a bunch of the rolls would be falling apart so please tighten up on those roll making skills lol. read more

I went with my mother and my 11 year old brother. In total it was around $70-$75 including a 20% tip which is very decent for a sushi restaurant. The host was very kind and explained all the perks respectfully and slightly excitedly. The place was nicely laid out and well thought so the belt could have the best path. I had family come from a few hours away to visit and eat at this place, I and visit with me. We got to the restaurant and I ask them if I could just have a drink because I am sick and not able to eat. I explained this to the host and I was told that just to sit with my family I would have to pay full price. I tried several times to explain my situation and how sick I am but they didn't even care. I understand that some people would take advantage of that but they could watch me all they wanted to. I think with people that have disabilities should have a way to enjoy family and not made to feel like I would cheat them out of food. I really wish they would be more understanding and caring towards people with disabilities. Not everyone is out to take advantage of them. I was very hurt and will let everyone I know that they should stay away from this place. I will never return.
