    More varieties of yummy sushi
    B L T.

We like this place alot. The employees are very knowledgeable to explain what is going to take place as soon as we walked in. Many different varieties of sushi for an affordable price. I've order the hibachi shrimp and the steak separately. Both dishes was excellent. Very tasty. The appetizers I selected was the gyozas, shrimp tempura and fried veggies. Again, it was very delicious. Oh by the way it's an all you can eat buffet. Thanks guys for Rocking the rolls of Sushi. I'm going back again on my birthday. Ambiance is alright could do a little more catchy deco. The music was a bit loud but you know what, I'm a happy customer.

How fun and exciting! I waited for as long as I could after they first opened. I love sushi and I have seen the conveyor belts in other cities, but had never been to one. Husband and I arrived a little after 12 and there was not a wait, but it was pretty busy. I will say that nothing was really explained to us other than where our seats were. Once you pay and find your seat, you go to the station at the front to get all your sauces and your drink. I have never seen that much wasabi all in one place, and a drink dispenser of soy sauce! The counter spots that don't have a booth and table are a little hard to navigate as you pull more and more plates. I learned that lesson quickly. Also the little tablet at your seat allows you to order hot items, we had an order of spring rolls and crab rangoons. They came out super-fast and were hot and fresh. The same young man that brought those out was also the one to come clean some of the plates away for us. He joked with us that some people like to have a competition to see who can get a higher stack of plates. I ate quite a bit. You can see my pics of all that sushi. I will say that I think I was a little grab happy at first because when we initially sat down, that conveyor belt looked barren. I guess I thought, let me grab some stuff while its still here. I only had to be patient and wait for them to fill it all again. We were only there around 45 mins and we saw several of each item pass us a million times. Husband has not really gotten into sushi, but he tried all the fried rolls and also some edamame for the first time. He said he would gladly come back here any time! Some of the sushi was maybe not the best quality, I found that some of the rice was drying out on some of them. Over all though everything was tasty and well presented. I think Husband will try some hibachi next time as well, and I would want to see about some fried rice maybe. You can not beat the prices for the quality and quantity that you are getting.

All you can eat sushi! Staff is extremely friendly. For the price the sushi is perfect! You can pull off the belt or order from the iPads. You can order appetizers and entrees-- and it's included in the price. This place is for sushi lovers who like raw fish, but if you like the fried stuff-- they have tons of that too. They also have dessert!

We did take out and the gentleman who help me was a peach. However the food was less to be desired. The white sauce is not white sauce but was colored and tasted like honey mustard. The steak hibachi wasn't that great the steak was fatty and flavorless. The dumplings were ok and so was sushi. Do not order the white sauce!

The service was great. The host explained how unlimited everything was. It was kept quite clean and they were fast with delivering anything we ordered apart from the food on the belt. The sushi was great and it was a cool experience. We really enjoyed our time there AND I didn't end up regretting it when I tried something new. I was a little curious after a member of our party asked how they keep track of the amount of time things sat on the belt. I think they track it with the colors of the plates but I'm not completely sure. Overall the food was good. They come by and they pick up your plates, trash and scrapes in a well paced manner. It was $50 for two adults and a 10 year old. I'm guessing under 2 years old, they eat free because we also had a toddler and he asked if the baby was 2 which we replied "no" to and had no charge on our receipt. The preteen sat next to the window where the belt is and I'm sure he was overwhelmed by his decision at some point but we made it into something funny by having him grab things when there was little time to. It was a great family experience and I definitely recommend trying it. Our favorite sushi options were the dynamite roll, the volcano roll, the Las Vegas roll was everyone's absolute favorite and I think it's a very safe choice for someone new to sushi, and of course veggie rolls don't have any meat in them, there is a type of sushi that has a little crispy hat and I believe that is tofu for anyone that might want to try it but isn't sure what it is. And most of the rolls have descriptions on the signs before that type of sushi or they just have the names of them.

The selection is honestly quite good. There's appetizers, teriyaki (would recommend the salmon!), hibachi, sushi appetizers, all pretty good honestly! In the end, I just don't feel my original 5 holds up. The restaurant is absolutely a super cool concept, tech forward, and fun for groups and people new to the sushi scene to try some things. When it comes to the actual eating experience though, the taste just doesn't hit home for me the way it did when it opened. Every sushi roll I got was so over-coated in sauces that it's all you could taste in your bite. That's either a heavy handed chef, or a mask for flavors you might not enjoy. In my mouth unfortunately, it just makes a texture-less mess, and part of what I enjoy about sushi is the layering of textures. Not that I expect to be blown away by AYCE sushi, but I had hoped for better than what I got. More simple nigiri pieces were ok. The seared tuna wasn't seared at all really, no brown carbonization, just a little grey. That doesn't impart the desired flavor. Hibachi options were also just fine, when originally, that was a strong point here. That people who didn't absolutely love sushi would still have good option to order. There was one vegetarian roll that included strawberry, mango, avocado that was very good, but again, the amount of sweet chili sauce poured over it was overbearing. I found myself scraping it off any way I could. Finally, one very annoying thing. The items on the conveyor didn't have any labels. Not even our server knew what some of them are. It's common practice to put a little flag before a row of items goes out so people know what they are. It creates food waste, or shuts people with some kind of allergy off entirely due to not knowing what things are. All in all, the novelty of the eye candy has worn off for me, and I just don't enjoy the food as much as other options in the area, even in the AYCE sushi space. But, this is definitely an experience a first timer would love, and it's fun for families.

When you arrive parking can be a bit tricky in this area as you'll need to find parking on the street or in a nearby parking lot. When you arrive the entrance can be a bit hard to find as it's tucked away down a cobblestone road. Look for the "m" logo outside of the door of the restaurant. You'll check in with the host when you arrive, and for this trip we opted to sit at the bar. When you walk into M sushi you'll feel like you've stepped into an underground, relaxed hangout for sushi. To start I ordered the Mizuwari (Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky, elderfower liqueur, and tonic) which was perfectly balanced and a great way to start the meal. Following that the omakase service started with miso soup which was hot and fresh, followed by the different pieces of sushi. There was a variety from blue fin tuna, to sea bream, to Norwegian Sea trout. My favorite was a tie between the seared salmon belly and toro blue fin. We also ordered a bottle of Born Gold Junmai Daliginjo (Rich, smooth, fruit and grain forward) which paired excellently with the meal. This was a fun experience as it was my first time trying Omakase and looking forward to my next trip to M Sushi.

My first two rolls took a while to come out, but I think that was because one of the rolls I ordered was fried. My last two rolls came out much quicker and I ordered those one at a time. AYCE dinner was $26.99, and I felt like I got my moneys worth with 26 pieces of sushi (10 of those pieces were HUGE pieces of sushi too). Appa Roll (5): This roll was pretty, green, and tasty! I loved the shrimp tempura and avocado combination. Even though this was a 5 piece roll, the pieces were big, so it was just as filling as the standard 8 piece. TNT Roll (5): I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't get this one again because it is fried and has cream cheese (too filling when you are trying to do AYCE). I really liked the mango in the roll, so I want to try their other rolls with mango! The pieces were huge, this roll was more filling than the standard 8 piece. Chapel Hill Roll (8): My favorite roll of the night, I loved the different fish on top and the avocado was delicious. Salmon Lover Roll (8): If you like salmon and avocado, this roll is for you! A lot of other salmon forward rolls have cream cheese, so I loved that this one had avocado instead. Delicious! I look forward to coming back with a friend or my husband so we can share rolls and try even more varieties!
