I'm not a keyboard player but as soon as you walk inside you'll see they have a wide selection of big name keyboards such as Kawai, Roland & much more. I've heard of these brands before but most of the time they're only accessible online or outside of Vegas. I'd say most of the selections are for seasoned players although they do have some selections that are great for beginners and experienced players alike. Aside from keyboards, they have a few selections of saxophones, violins and electronic drum sets. You won't find guitars (not yet anyway) here so they certainly feel more of a niche musical store but a good one at that. If you play any of the above instruments I mentioned you can probably get a good deal because they are an authorized dealer, meaning they have some flexibility in regards to retailing and pricing. The owner and manager Victor are friendly and cool people :) They were kind enough to let me take some photos of the interior. It's still fairly new but more inventory is on the way. If you're a musician I recommend you visit or bookmark this place for a future visit. Definitely always a plus to see a local music shop open to compete against the big corporate stores.

My son…read moreprefers Sensei Rey (not that there's anything wrong with the other Senseis, you know how kids are when they are attached to a specific person) so he was bummed when his schedule changed and instead of having class twice a week he only has it once a week now. My son has competed in one tournament and is prepping to compete in another. Now, only if he can get a belt test done that would be awesome. Other than that Sensei Rey really takes the time to make sure his students (of all ages too) get their techniques correct & it shows in the tournaments. My son brought home a gold medal for Kata & a silver medal for Kumite. Oh! One more thing, the space can get tight when everyone is in class. Maybe expanding or separating the sitting area? There's a room with a glass windowed room right behind where the parents sit, maybe... it could just be a sitting room for the parents during this time frame? I'm really not sure what is in that room though. Also, that way the kids that run around during class can be contained in a separate room so as not to bother the karate class in session but can still see the karate class through the window? Just a suggestion. Gina the owner is very accommodating & was kind enough to understand our situation in December so we were able to alter our contract a bit before signing. I have played for over 60 years, have a lot of acoustic instruments and a few of them have suffered due to the Vegas weather. I found one luthier who was quite affordable ... but his bandage style repair work left a lot to be desired. I found another luthier with an astounding reputation ... but was available by appointment only and charged nearly what an instrument cost to do the repairs. Adam Pero is your go to guy for acoustic instrument repair. Anything from a fret buzz to a face split. His prices are reasonable; his work is quick and accurate. While waiting in the lobby for Adam to put some finishing touches on one of my instruments, I was able to observe Neil Smith working on an electric 6-string bass. He was testing the neck from top to bottom playing soft and loud. Then he turned his attention to the pick-ups. There was no question in my mind that he knew exactly what he was doing. I have a Tylor T5z. So far it has no issues, but I know where I will take it for repairs, should that ever become necessary.

My 10 year-old daughter expressed interest in taking violin lessons, so I began the search online and through Yelp. I'd actually completely forgotten that we had a nearby guitar center, and didn't think they did violin lessons until I searched their instructors and lo and behold, Miranda popped up on their lessons search page! I sent an email through the site to get more information, and within a few hours, I received a call from Joey who recommended I do a trial session. Miranda's availability is only on Saturdays, and we were fortunate to get in pretty much for the next day (spoke to Joey on a Friday). Parking was ample until he Town Square parking lot, and it was easy to find and get to their Lessons department. My daughter's trial lesson with Miranda began very punctually, and she brought us back to a small private room with soundproofing, two pianos, and multiple seats. Miranda did great with her for her age group and complete lack of musical knowledge. She went over the basics of the parts of the violin and bow, how to hold everything, the strings, and how to properly use the bow on the violin. She sent us home with a few pages from a curriculum book for her to practice. My daughter walked away from the trial very happy and excited to learn more! We appreciated Miranda's positive and kind attitude, as well as her wealth of knowledge. We will be setting up more lessons with her soon, and I will update the review as time goes on!
