I can't believe I've lived in the neighborhood this long and never tried Neopol Savory Smokehouse! A good friend of mine swears by their sandwiches--she even picks them up for her mom, aunt, and cousin whenever she's in the Union Market area. After walking past Neopol countless times, I finally decided to stop in for a sunny Sunday lunch, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the smoked salmon BLT but swapped the bacon for avocado. The cashier recommended the bread most people pair with their sandwiches, and I'm so glad I took his suggestion. The sandwich was huge and packed with fresh, flavorful salmon--they definitely don't skimp on portions. It was the perfect balance of rich, smoky fish and creamy avocado. While the prices lean a little high, it feels fair given the quality of ingredients and the Union Market setting. The service was warm and helpful. The cashier took the time to give me a thoughtful recommendation and made the experience feel personal. Even with several orders placed just before mine, my sandwich came out quickly. I also noticed someone ahead of me ordered one of their dog treats--something I'll definitely be picking up for my pup next time! There are a few tables right across from Neopol, but on a beautiful day, eating outside is the way to go. Union Market always has a lively, energetic vibe, and Neopol fits right into that atmosphere. It's casual but feels special thanks to the food quality and friendly staff. Overall, Neopol has earned a new loyal customer in me. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu (and grab that dog treat too ).
Smoked Salmon BLT sandwich for the win!! Neopol is located inside of Union market which means it's in a casual, busy, and fast-paced location. However, the service was quick and the staff were nice. I saw this sandwich trending on TikTok and decided to give it a try.. it did not miss. It was flavorful and BIG. I ended up saving half to eat later. I definitely recommend trying. I will be returning to try the salmon apple salad
Had the Salmon BLT on MultiGrain. Loved the generous amount of smoke salmon. The bread was toasted which I enjoyed once I got past the crust (the edges cut the inside of my mouth). Wonder if they would cut the crust off, I think so, if I asked nicely. Overall sandwich was great & huge portion enough for two sittings.
Nice spot located inside the food hall. The service and menu is simple. The smoked salmon BLT was good and the smoked mussels were on point. Not a bad place! Next time I'll try a different food stall but this one is worth me coming back to.

The service was fast and easy from the front counter to pickup. Neopol is located in one of the corners of Union Market on the side that is closest to the windows and doors. I actually couldn't find it my first time! Good place you can get a sandwich for less than $15 still at the market. I'm surprised it's not as popular as others stalls, but it's a great option there.
This place is great! I got the smoked salmon BLT and the flavor was incredible-- such a great sandwich! I also took home some smoked salmon for lunches for the week and I highly recommend that too. It is located inside Union Market which gets very packed on the weekends. Regardless of how busy the market is though, the service is fast!
The salmon BLT was AMAZING, if you enjoy smoked salmon you will love this sandwich. A perfectly smokey flavor that is complemented well by the whole sandwich. You can choose whether or not to include all the toppings, but I would recommend to include them all. Their stall is towards the very end of the market in the corner, close to the District Fishwife. My sandwich only cost about $15, was pretty quick to have it made as well. Service was also friendly.

This Gem is in Union Market Food Hall. The food is flavorful, fresh and just darn good. The service is a bit slow but that's because it's typically a line and it's that good. In my opinion best smoked salmon in the city. They also offer larger dishes for big groups. Ambiance ehh..can't judge because it's in union market but they do have a location in Baltimore.
So glad I decided to try this place out after seeing it on Yelp - I probably never would have known of it otherwise due to the countless other options in the Union Market area. The smoked salmon BLT is incredible - the smoked salmon is so moist and not fishy, and all the flavors and textures balance each other out so well. Service is relatively quick and there's lots of seating to choose from being in Union Market. Definitely will be coming back!
A solid sandwich, definitely very tasty. I think I had set my expectations too high, as I found that the sandwich was a little under seasoned. May have been just that day, would definitely love to come back and explore the menu as well!

The only thing I wish was different was that there was too much mayo for my liking, but each individual component in the sandwich was delectable. Somehow the bacon remains crispy the whole time you're eating the sandwich, and the salmon itself was perfectly smoked. Service was fast, they have a system down pat, and it's located in the cute union market so you can order other things too.
My favorite sandwich in the DMV is from here- the smoked salmon BLT and I add avocado. You can get it as a salad or on a variety of bread options but I prefer it on classic white bread. Service is fast and efficient- save your receipt for the ticket number to listen for. If you have pups with you they have salmon dog bones that my dog goes crazy for! It's always bustling but I've never waited more than 3 minutes for my order. A tip for anyone who wants to enjoy their meal onsite but avoid the rush for a table on the main floor of the market is to head through the stairwell directly next to where you pick your order up and go up to the rooftop for ample seating and great drink options/lawn games!
This is the best sandwich in the city. I've never said something is the BEST with as much conviction as this. As a certified sandwich girlie I can't go a single WEEK without heading to union market for this BLT. Neopol Smokery single handedly CARRIES this place the absurdity of quality of this sandwich is off the charts. Smoked salmon BLT stuffed to the brim with beautifully cooked smoked salmon, bacon, lettuce, tomato and red onion tied together on a bed of Romain with the most perfect gravlax mayo. Be sure to get it on the sunflower flax bread TRUST!!! Add sliced apples to it when your back in ten min for a second sandwich. I mean it. You will turn right back around the second you take a bite. Friendly staff and quick service make me love them even more. Also LGBTQ owned!! Don't forget the smoked mussels. Thank me later. I stopped by Neopol Savory Smokery at Union Market and ordered the Salmon BLT with avocado on multigrain, and wow, what a great choice! The sandwich was packed with flavor: the smoky salmon paired perfectly with the salty bacon and crisp red onions. Every bite was rich and satisfying, and it came out in under 10 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, this spot really impressed me. Delicious food, quick service, and fresh ingredients. I'll always love this little gem. Been coming here for years. The smoked salmon BLT minus bacon add apples and avocados is my fav. I tried the egg salad today and they could've held the jalapeños lol. Sat down and at with my son. read more
This salmon BLT and ginger cardamom lemonade was tastyyyyy! I had seen pics and knew the BLT looked delicious so ordered it confidently. And after sampling the lemonade I ordered one for me and my sister! So so refreshing and really a perfect meal on a humid summer day. I'll be back real soon! read more

There are so many options to choose from in Union Market, but the smoked salmon crepe here caught my eye. I haven't had anything like it before, but it was absolutely delicious and a unique twist on salmon. The crepes are pre-made, so they just take around 5 minutes to heat up and then you pick up your order. It is cut in half and large enough to share between 2 people. I'll be back to try other things on their menu! read more
This gem is all the way to the right in Union Market when you enter from the parking lot. Find them!!!! I had the Salmon BLT and it was delicious. The staff are always really great and everything is prepared fresh. Now do you like mussels? Yes...we're off to a good start.....but have you tried smoked mussels? They will change your life. They have the most delicious smoked mussels here...I even ate one cold because the oven was down and it was still good. I was so excited that I forgot to take a pic. Give them a try next time your there or honestly just go there, they are worth the trip. read more
Neopol Savory Smokery did not disappoint. If this review was for the food only, it would be 5 stars. The customer service was even 5 star worthy. My only complaint which dropped them down to 4 stars is the varying hours of operation listed in multiple places. Their own website says on Thursdays they are open until 9pm. Yelp says 8pm. Google says 7pm. I figured their own website had to be right. Drove there around 7:45 and they were closed. I ended up having to come back the next day. Glad I called because the hours for Friday are wrong as well. I brought this up to the staff. Off to the food. I ordered the Smoked Salmon BLT and the Classic Seafood Salad sandwich with bacon. The Smoked Salmon BLT is AMAZING!!! I was skeptical at first but MY MY MY!!! Well seasoned, soft bread, overall deliciousness. The classic seafood salad was good. I wish it didn't have as many onions but was good. I'll definitely be back for sure. MANAGEMENT- PLEASE ADDRESS THE HOURS ISSUE. read more

What i ordered: smoked salmon salad sandwich Price: ~$12 Rating: 9/10 This is my go to spot when I'm in Union Market. It's at the back end of the main market. I always get their smoked salmon salad sandwich which never disappoints. It comes with mayo, the smoked salmon salad, lettuce, tomato, onion. The sandwich is always solid and consistent every time. Came for Sunday lunch with a friend. The market was very packed. The line moved quickly luckily. I got the smoked salmon blt on a bagel with a piece of smoked shrimp and their ginger lemonade. The sandwich was good, I felt like that bagel overpowered the salmon though. I'd try it on regular bread or wrap next time. The smoked shrimp was soo good!! Definitely will come back for more of those. The lemonade was very good too. My friend got the crepe which was super yummy! A guy in line recommended it for her because she was torn between the choices. Definitely a great spot for lunch! read more

How does a sandwich shop get 5 stars? This is how! Make the best da*n sandwich in the area.. Period! My good friend, Yelp extroidenaire TaNeisha J, somehow found this hidden sandwich shop inside the Union Market food court. When she posted pictures of her Salmon BLT, my mouth started to water and I KNEW I had to have one!! I made the journey down to Union Market and beelined to the food court. After trying to find Neopol Savory Smokery on my own, I had to ask an attendant of another food stand to direct me to it.. That was awkward.. Lol Once I arrived, I saw all the fresh ingredients for their awesome sandwiches on display but I was dead set on that delicious Salmon BLT that had me make the drive from Maryland. Once I got back to my office, I took the first bite and let out a huge gasp #foodorgasm lol!! I haven't tasted anything that good in quite a while. I literally tried to slow myself down so I could savor the moment for longer than a just a moment..lol If you love salmon and bacon.. and why would you not?!?..please make your way to Neopol Savory Smokery. Some of the best smoked salmon I've had... despite it being in a sandwich! I ordered both the smoked salmon BLT and the smoked salmon salad sandwich, those were the two most popular items. The sandwich itself looks decently sized, but it's very filling. Half way through the sandwich and I was already feeling a bit stuffed! The salmon tastes wonderful. And the combination with the salad, tasteful dressing, and onion really brighten the taste. I did prefer the salmon salad over the BLT, since the flavors weren't so masked by the bacon. Overall, would 100% recommend this place to anyone. I would be interested in trying the mussels next time! read more
I've had this place on my list for a few months and I was finally in the area so I decided to pop in for a smoked salmon blt and some mussels. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the mussels were. I've never had them smoked and now I don't want to eat them any other way. They were absolutely delicious and next time I'm going to get a whole dozen. The smoked salmon blt was also very good and I wasn't really sure what to expect since I'd never had it before but I was definitely satisfied with the presentation and the flavor. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. The union market was quite busy and it was almost impossible it to bump in to other people. I think next time I come during the week and not on a busy Saturday. read more
FINALLY made it to Neopols for their salmon BLT. Y'all. I'm not a salmon fanatic like others. And yet, this was hands down one of the best sandwiches in the world BECAUSE of the smoked salmon. Get into it. Zoom in if needed. Between the sunflower flaxseed bread: freshly smoked salmon, free-range bacon, tomato, red onion, field greens, and honey dijon dressing. Food: Smoked Salmon BLT- Salmon was flaky and in abundance! The LTO was crisp and fresh! Made to perfection and all components go well together. This a must try, but you already heard this. I'm just confirming the goodness!! Smoked mussels (hot) - Absolutely DIVINE, The smoked taste take these bad boys to another level that I can't describe. I squeezed lemon on them and they were scrumptious! OMG, a party in my mouth!You have to try these! Even after I finished them the taste lingered on my palate! One of the best smelling food stalls/store fronts at Union Market :) All of their smoked items are delicious but my favorites have to be their Smoked Mussles! They a huge, plump and juicy and at a pretty good price for a dozen. We preordered 4 dozen for a holiday dinner and they were a huge hit! read more
Got the Smoked Salmon BLT with avocado on rye instead of the bacon for lunch... and it was very satisfying! I love the smoked flavor and the amount of veggies it came with. The rye bread was toasted with butter on top, making it crunchy on the corners and soft in the very middle. It was packed with salmon so I didn't feel jipped. Surprisingly, the sandwiches here are probably the least expensive items from the entire market. Everything else was at least $16-18 for a lunch/meal. My sandwich was only $11! And it was of high seafood quality, fresh, and healthy! Wish I can find smoked salmon as fresh as here back in Cali... highly recommend for anyone who loves smoked salmon and want to be on the healthier side. read more

I'm surprised to be giving a 5-star review to a smokery! I was told the salmon BLT was amazing and decided to give it a try. I was still reluctant thatI would enjoy it seeing how I'm not hot on smoked salmon. Boy was I wrong! Unlike the wet, briney, and salty smoked salmon I'm used to, this was nicely cooked salmon that was smoky. Not super salty or cured, just smoked and delicious. With the tomatoes, onions, greens and everything, it made for a delicious combo that I would happily purchase again! I also grabbed a side of whitefish salad for kicks with the sesame crackers. ALSO very delicious!!! Not salty or briney like I'm used to it being. Also not heavy on the mayo taste either. I would eat this again immediately and will consider including it for apps when I have friends over. What a memorable tasty evening with Neopol read more
