    Burrito with chorizo and avocado
    Rosa C.

We came for the burrito and it did not disappoint. I got mine with chorizo and avocado, which added to the creaminess of the burrito. It was a great balance of egg and fluffy heirloom potato pieces and I loved the green salsa that accompanied the dish. The tots were perfectly crispy and complimented the heavy burrito. Service was fast and the coffee strong. You can choose to sit inside or on the patio if the weather is nice!

Small sunlit restaurant in Alameda. I got the breakfast sandwich and it came with a small green salad with a great dressing and assorted breakfast potatoes. The bun I think was from firebrand bakery. It was fluffy, slightly sweet, and complemented the sandwich components. I think a tangy aioli would make it even better and less dry as well. The purple potato was the best of the bunch with a crispy crunch and soft inside. The service was nice. The place was clean but there was a slight wet rag smell where I sat. Also I wish the ketchup was brought as needed because the sun was super strong and would warm up the glass ketchup bottle that stays at the table all day. Might come back with friend for brunch and try other dishes.

Came here for brunch on a Monday at around 11. We were seated and helped right away. I ordered apple juice and the breakfast sandwich (disclaimer for dairy-free people: there is cheese on this sandwich, I don't think it mentioned that on the menu but I had to remove it because I'm lactose intolerant), and it came with a side salad and potatoes. We also ordered longanisa lumpia. Everything was so good! I would definitely come back. Before that day, I have picked up an iced matcha from the coffee shop window and that was also really good. I just wish they were open during the weekend!

I'm so happy to see Neptune's fully open again! The beautiful back outdoor patio is such a great space -- it's spacious, relaxing, and perfect for lingering over coffee or brunch with friends. I've been a few times recently and everything has been consistently delicious. Their latte is honestly one of the best in town -- smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced every time. On our most recent visit, we ordered the avocado toast, the breakfast sandwich with tater tots, and the Eggs Benedict. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared, and everyone at the table left happy. The decor is clean and welcoming, parking is easy, and the overall vibe makes it a great place to gather with friends or family. Another big plus is their convenient walk-up window -- perfect for grabbing coffee or a quick bite on the go. If you haven't been in lately, definitely check it out. It's a wonderful spot for the west end neighborhood!

We've been meaning to come here for a while now and we always couldn't catch the right time. The other day, we were up and about we were looking on where to go and chanced going here and we were happy they were open. I motif inside has a nautical feel and it is calming be there. I was also pleasantly surprised by the menu. I had looked it up before. I saw Filipino influences in a lot of the menu and being Filipino myself, I was happy to see it on the menu. The server and the rest of the staff were very nice and efficient. I didn't ask but I think the chef or owner was helping serve since they got pretty busy. This is very common in the Philippines were you just had to step up and help whoever needed help and that was very heart warming to see.

This place is pretty good. Cozy place for brunch. We were seated quickly and the servers are efficient! Food was great and would definitely come back again. Love how they have a dedicated parking lot as well. Eggs Benedict was delicious!

So disappointed with the iced matcha. Tastes like milk and.. food coloring. Just kidding, I doubt they use food coloring but I'm not sure where the green color came from because it did not taste like matcha. I was asked if I wanted it sweet and I said sure. Not sure where the sweetener was but it sure wasn't in my drink. The customer service was good despite them closing in half an hour (maybe that's why the drink was mid?) I can't speak on their food but the reason this isn't a 1 star is: good customer service, decently priced, cute location Perhaps I will return for a food item or different drink in the future, but this was not a first good impression :(

Finally got to get a chance to eat here! They only do dine ins Monday thru Friday. Otherwise it's takeout only. The food overall is mediocre. I thought it was pretty mid unfortunately. Service was great here! Food came fast and our server was super nice. Ambiance is pretty good--there's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. WHAT WE GOT: - Matcha Latte: 3/5 pretty good but nothing special - Hazelnut Latte: 4/5 well made but a little sweet - Caprese Panini: 2/5 this was kind of disappointing. I was hoping for a nice toasty sandwich, but instead it seemed like they barely pressed it. It was not toasty and warm. The bread was soggy and I think it's bc they didn't use the right type of bread. There was way too much mozzarella and not enough basil. - Breakfast Burrito with Bacon: 3/5 this was okay, the flavor was your typical breakfast burrito. The portion size was pretty small and instead of potatoes they use sweet potatoes which was interesting--not something we were expecting. Overall this was an okay breakfast spot, nothing amazing.

I really also wanted to Give this place an amazing review ,but unfortunately it sucked honestly .The setup inside of the restaurant was cute and quaint .The service sucked and it wasn't even that busy .I ordered the chilaquiles , and it looked amazing and started to taste really good with the flavors it had going on ,but all Of the chips were soggy .,like it had been sitting out for hours .The guy never came back to check on me or asked if I needed anything else .i sat and waited for 20 min to pay until I got I up and told someone I need to pay .i won't be going back

My friend and I came here on a whim, I really really wanted to love this place because they don't have good reviews and I want to boost up business. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles and she couldn't eat it, she said it was cold and nasty and we had to send the dish back. I had some sort of egg scramble, it was strange that it just came out of the kitchen but the food was cold. The eggs were kind of runny and the cheese wasn't melted all the way. The potatoes were okay, pretty crispy but it was so greasy and again kind of like warm. It was very strange. The sliced avocado was the only good part. The ambiance is cool, it was empty when we went on a Friday morning but the place itself looks cool. If the food improves this place has potential but I won't be returning for now.

    Ask the Community - Neptune's

I call all the time to ask when are you going to reopen?

Well what do they say??? They're sure not responding here --

Does anyone know when/if they plan to reopen indoor/outdoor dining?

I would love to know the same. I'm waiting for the day to go back here.

Do they have outdoor dining options? Do they take reservations?

Looks Yum! Do they offer gluten free toast or buns? I'm not talking about lettuce. :-)

No but get it without as I do and you'll be better off metabolic health-wise anyway 😉

So they have gluten free toast or rolls?

No but get it without as I do and you'll be better off metabolic health-wise anyway 😉

Is it still to-go orders only? Have they opened for dining yet?

As of today -- 11/14 -- they are STILL not open to dine-in. I am so so sad.

    Is outdoor seating available?

    Not yet!

Do they use mostly organic ingredients - does anyone know?

No. They claim "farm to table" and local ingredients, but this is inaccurate.

Is dog allowed in the patio?

Yes, dogs are allowed on the back patio. :)

They advertise outdoor seating but I don't see any pics. Is their patio cute for groups?

Really cute wooden tables, covered patio, and some patio furniture as well. Liked it more than being inside (super loud). Their Instagram @neptunesalameda has pics of their outdoor seating

The number listed is disconnected. Is Neptune's still in business? Thanks!

Yes! We go there pretty much every week. Unless it was hit by a meteor it should still be open.

The only option is street parking, so finding a good spot can be difficult. It is an extremely popular spot, so I'd advise making your reservation weeks ahead of time. Once you're inside, though, it's a great experience. Though gu the shop is small and the tables a bit crowded together, the atmosphere is lovely. The decor is tastefully quaint, and the space is clean and well-lit. The tea service itself is lovely as well. The full tea service, which runs each person $48, includes your pick from a very large variety of teas and sandwiches, including a couple vegetarian options, though I wouldn't call the overall menu vegetarian-friendly. Each table also comes with a little container of sugar cubes and creamer for their tea. This far, all of the sandwiches and teas that I have tried are very good. Each patron gets their own pot of tea instead of one shared pot for the table, which I love. Each set also comes with a scone with clotted cream and jam, a potato canape, and a selection of small desserts. It was more than enough to satisfy me. I really love that they offer both traditional British flavors as well as unique Malaysian flavors in their menu. The desserts also change from time to time, so every experience can feel a little special and new. It gives this spot a unique feel that I haven't yet found elsewhere. Overall, the experience was very positive and I absolutely do recommend it to anyone who has the time and interest. Though $48 is definitely not cheap on the surface, I feel that the unique menu, quantity of food and drink, and general enjoyability of the experience make the price worth it.

Even though there was a sign mentioning that it was a small space and asking guests to keep the volume down, that didn't really happen. One of the other parties was an intimate baby shower. My friends and I weren't exactly quiet either, but I think it was because the whole room was fairly lively. There were so many different kinds of tea to choose from. There were six of us, and we all ordered different flavors so we could sample each other's teas. The sandwich selection was also impressive, and our tea towers included a variety of small desserts that were all delicious as well. I chose the Smoked Salmon & Chive Cream Cheese, Cucumber & Dill Cream Cheese, and Coconut Jam (Kaya) with sliced cold butter. The Kaya sandwich was easily my favorite. The desserts were a wonderful addition to the experience, and everyone at the table enjoyed them. I was torn between ordering the Peaches & Cream Black Tea and a green tea. I ended up choosing the Genmaicha with Coconut, and it was delicious. If I come back, I'd definitely like to try the Peaches & Cream Black Tea. As a group, we all agreed that the Kaya sandwich was the standout item. We did have a small hiccup at the beginning because two of our tea orders arrived without tea bags--basically just hot water! We all had a good laugh about it. They were busy, and mistakes happen. The staff was very apologetic and corrected it right away. They even offered us two extra sandwich orders, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a good experience, and I enjoyed my first tea party. However, I do feel that this venue is better suited for a calmer, more intimate gathering, such as a bridal shower or a quiet afternoon tea with close friends. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Anytime someone rang the bell, they came to the table almost immediately. If you're looking for a relaxing tea experience with a small group, this is definitely a place worth trying. For my group of friends, we're a little louder and more energetic, so it almost felt like we were too much for such a peaceful setting. Still, we had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and cozy tea house
