Okay, the place gets 5-stars for its quirky personality. A little bit Mexican and a little bit Filipino. The restaurant really isn't anything to look at. It is obvious that the building has been repurposed. It's very plain but I do like the large windows. The service was a little slow, but our server was friendly and upbeat. So, people obviously don't come here for the ambiance. Neptune's has something different and unique. I ordered the I had the Filipino Fried Chicken (Silog) and garlic rice. I shared with my son who had the Longanisa Silog. We couldn't decide which looked better, so we enjoyed both. And both were very good. My wife had the West End Scramble. She liked hers very much as well. What else could I ask for, right? How about SPAM Fries and real Lumpia! Yeah! We'll see you guys again.

All I gotta say is shout out to the head chef back there doing amazing things. The food is so good. Beautiful decor and patio. The team knows exactly what they're doing. Busy on Labor Day. I would assume busy any holiday. I once came before and wanted to take the ole lady for a sit down. I've had the longanisa patty and wanted to try their loco moco. Perfect. My ole lady had the chorizo breakfast burrito. The main thing that stuck out the most was presentation and preparation. They made that burrito equal parts and generous. The Waygu smashed patty was definitely a pleaser. If you want something that reminds you of home this place is it. I would definitely go back with friends or family for a chow down.

Sitting on a quiet street in Alameda with plenty of parking in the back, Neptune is a quaint little brunch spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. We stopped by Neptune's on a Sunday afternoon around 2PM, right before they were about to close at 2:30PM. While we were worried that they would turn us away, the staff was kind enough to get us seated and orders placed before their kitchen closed. FOOD: I ordered the Farmers Scramble and the Spaniard Latte. Both were so satisfying and delicious! Everyone's portions were so generous. My scramble came with a healthy serving of scrambled eggs, toast, salad, and fried potatoes. It was an incredibly comforting meal, especially while enjoying it on their outdoor patio area. Additionally, it was my first time trying a Spaniard Latte, which is a combination of espresso and condensed milk. It was the right level of sweetness and I thoroughly enjoyed it on a warm, sunny day. SERVICE: I'm so grateful that they seated us so close to closing time! The food came out quickly and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would definitely come back on another warm day to enjoy brunch in their outdoor area!

I came to Neptune's because of a TikTok from The Alameda Pulse. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and seated by a lovely waiter. They have really nice plants inside! I ordered a mocha while I looked through their menu, and as much as I thought I would order the breakfast burrito (as recommended on TikTok), I am in fact a chilaquile girl. Service was quite fast and friendly. My mocha was delicious, smooth texture, right amount of foam, perfect espresso. And the chilaquiles... A M A Z I N G, Mexican approved, she did tell me the green sauce was spicy, and it was not, but they were very flavorful, nothing some hot sauce can't do. As someone who works in this very same industry and supervises a cafe, I will be coming back and bring friends/coworkers over. Ignore the bad comments, sounds like a bunch of entitled people to me.

Small sunlit restaurant in Alameda. I got the breakfast sandwich and it came with a small green salad with a great dressing and assorted breakfast potatoes. The bun I think was from firebrand bakery. It was fluffy, slightly sweet, and complemented the sandwich components. I think a tangy aioli would make it even better and less dry as well. The purple potato was the best of the bunch with a crispy crunch and soft inside. The service was nice. The place was clean but there was a slight wet rag smell where I sat. Also I wish the ketchup was brought as needed because the sun was super strong and would warm up the glass ketchup bottle that stays at the table all day. Might come back with friend for brunch and try other dishes.

    Burrito with chorizo and avocado

We came for the burrito and it did not disappoint. I got mine with chorizo and avocado, which added to the creaminess of the burrito. It was a great balance of egg and fluffy heirloom potato pieces and I loved the green salsa that accompanied the dish. The tots were perfectly crispy and complimented the heavy burrito. Service was fast and the coffee strong. You can choose to sit inside or on the patio if the weather is nice!

Came here for brunch on a Monday at around 11. We were seated and helped right away. I ordered apple juice and the breakfast sandwich (disclaimer for dairy-free people: there is cheese on this sandwich, I don't think it mentioned that on the menu but I had to remove it because I'm lactose intolerant), and it came with a side salad and potatoes. We also ordered longanisa lumpia. Everything was so good! I would definitely come back. Before that day, I have picked up an iced matcha from the coffee shop window and that was also really good. I just wish they were open during the weekend!

I'm so happy to see Neptune's fully open again! The beautiful back outdoor patio is such a great space -- it's spacious, relaxing, and perfect for lingering over coffee or brunch with friends. I've been a few times recently and everything has been consistently delicious. Their latte is honestly one of the best in town -- smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced every time. On our most recent visit, we ordered the avocado toast, the breakfast sandwich with tater tots, and the Eggs Benedict. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared, and everyone at the table left happy. The decor is clean and welcoming, parking is easy, and the overall vibe makes it a great place to gather with friends or family. Another big plus is their convenient walk-up window -- perfect for grabbing coffee or a quick bite on the go. If you haven't been in lately, definitely check it out. It's a wonderful spot for the west end neighborhood!

This place is pretty good. Cozy place for brunch. We were seated quickly and the servers are efficient! Food was great and would definitely come back again. Love how they have a dedicated parking lot as well. Eggs Benedict was delicious!

We've been meaning to come here for a while now and we always couldn't catch the right time. The other day, we were up and about we were looking on where to go and chanced going here and we were happy they were open. I motif inside has a nautical feel and it is calming be there. I was also pleasantly surprised by the menu. I had looked it up before. I saw Filipino influences in a lot of the menu and being Filipino myself, I was happy to see it on the menu. The server and the rest of the staff were very nice and efficient. I didn't ask but I think the chef or owner was helping serve since they got pretty busy. This is very common in the Philippines were you just had to step up and help whoever needed help and that was very heart warming to see.

    Ask the Community - Neptune's

I call all the time to ask when are you going to reopen?

Well what do they say??? They're sure not responding here --

Does anyone know when/if they plan to reopen indoor/outdoor dining?

I would love to know the same. I'm waiting for the day to go back here.

Do they have outdoor dining options? Do they take reservations?

Looks Yum! Do they offer gluten free toast or buns? I'm not talking about lettuce. :-)

No but get it without as I do and you'll be better off metabolic health-wise anyway 😉

So they have gluten free toast or rolls?

No but get it without as I do and you'll be better off metabolic health-wise anyway 😉

Is it still to-go orders only? Have they opened for dining yet?

As of today -- 11/14 -- they are STILL not open to dine-in. I am so so sad.

    Is outdoor seating available?

    Not yet!

Do they use mostly organic ingredients - does anyone know?

No. They claim "farm to table" and local ingredients, but this is inaccurate.

Is dog allowed in the patio?

Yes, dogs are allowed on the back patio. :)

They advertise outdoor seating but I don't see any pics. Is their patio cute for groups?

Really cute wooden tables, covered patio, and some patio furniture as well. Liked it more than being inside (super loud). Their Instagram @neptunesalameda has pics of their outdoor seating

The number listed is disconnected. Is Neptune's still in business? Thanks!

Yes! We go there pretty much every week. Unless it was hit by a meteor it should still be open.

That's common at most restaurants. However, this time I was charged $3.50 each for two iced teas. I questioned it and the server said that it was correct. I checked the menu to see if I'd overlook something, but there is no mention about a no refills policy. An inconsistency for sure.

I had a day planned that included cleaning the garage, so I figured a big breakfast would be good. I walked in just before 9am, and the place was empty. A waitress greeted me and told me to sit anywhere. It's actually hard to pick a table when the place is empty. Cape 7 has a fairly large dining room. It used to be a Sizzler Restaurant. Before Cape 7, it was "Shell Shock." Cape 7 never changed the Shell Shock decor, so it has a nautical theme. A pirate stands guard by the restrooms. So I sat at a booth by the window. I sat back and the bench seat was broken. A gentleman raced over and switched the bench seats. Wow, you have to be careful when you sit down at Cape 7. I ordered a Denver Omelette w/ hash browns, a side of Pancakes, and Coffee. It took about 10-min for my food to come. By 9am more customers came in. After my food arrived, I didn't see a waitress or waiter for 20-mins. Then the owner arrived, and a waitress checked on my table every 5 mins. The Denver Omelette was made with 4 eggs. The serving size was pretty large. The two pancakes were a bit dry. I needed more butter and syrup. Instead, I used alot of jams (that were on the table). The food was okay, I might come back for breakfast again. Off street parking lot in back.
