I took my wife here on the road trip up to Missouri, we were expecting outstanding barbecue. Unfortunately, we did not get it. Gotta be honest the restaurant itself was cute. Great atmosphere looks like a fun place. In a great part of town. Our waitress was great she was sweet, kind, and took good care of us We ordered and promptly received exactly what we ordered fries and a sliced barbecue sandwich each. There were enough fries on each plate to feed two people. A little portion control might be in order here. They were delicious fries. Hand cut just cooked hot delicious The problem was with the sliced brisket sandwich. The meat was rubbery, tough, and pretty bland. Very little bark. I had to hold the meat in one hand and TRY to bite and chew thru it. It was inedible They did trade me out for a pulled chicken sandwich which was better. Husband and I ordered a half rack of ribs, fried okra and onion rings for lunch. The ribs were majorly overdone to the point of being crispy on the outside and dry on the inside. Okra was not crispy. Onion rings were just okay. Service was fine. read more

Stopped here en route from Tulsa to Little Rock based on recommendations from many. The brisket platter was huge, but honestly the meat was very dry. The fried okra and cheesy hash browns were amazing! The patio is great and so was the service. They brought water for the dog, and our drinks were always filled which is a huge plus. In general, we came for the meat and were very disappointed. Probably wouldn't make the trip here even if just passing through. read more

To be honest this place was pretty good. I ordered the little bit of everything meal ($30) and it did not disappoint. It was so much food, I had to take some home. You could prob share this meal with another person. We came in a Saturday night and there was no wait. The food came out pretty fast and tasted really good. I've been coming to this place for a long time and the best thing they offer is their baby back ribs. Everything else is okay but nothing special. They have the location, good enough service and atmosphere to be a great BBQ spot. However it is going to take some fine tuning to the rest of the menu as good as the ribs. read more

Everything this was really good here, my critiques are personal preference. All the sides were amazing. The ribs are almost as good, but I just like a darker bark and the dry rub was a little bland. Everything was made right with the sauce though. I smoke meat too so I'm being harder on this than others would. I cannot tell you how great my meal was here. It's a cool restaurant in downtown Fort Smith and it's the BBQ that people dream of. I had smoked wings, fresh, hot tons of dry run flavor. The onions rings were hand made, these were not from a frozen bag thrown in the fryer. I did have 2 ribs because I needed to try them. Holy cow, the best rib that I've had! Was in town for the night and found this place close by where we were going so we decided to try it out. Let me just say next time we are in the area we will stop there. The pulled pork bbq sandwich was so good, mmm that meat just melts in your mouth its so good. And they have fried okra, I had to try some of that. Now fried okra has to be cooked just right or I don't care for it, well let me tell you wow ot was cooked perfectly and so good!! I wish I had some more fried okra now! My daughter had the beans with her sandwich and she loved them too. If your in the area check it out, you won't be dissapointed. The staff was so busy there, they were all pretty much nonstop hustling and we never once felt like we were not important. They were all super friendly and really on top of things. Great spot to find on Yelp for a quick lunch. The sweet tea was sweet, the BBQ pulled chicken Cobb salad was huge with fresh ingredients and plenty filling. When I was touring with the GOODING band this was a place we got booked. As part of our rider we were able to have a comped meal. I had never been there before but I was told the pulled pork was really good so I tried it. It was some of the best pork I had ever had. So I always remembered the place and talked about it fondly. Well after my annual book sale my wife and mother in law decided we needed to get away for a few hours so off we went. A lot has changed since I last went to neumeiers. They are in a different location. Not too far from the old though. Menu is different looking at least but the taste was still damn good. This one is hard to review. It would normally be a 3.5 but the service was so good it moved it up to a 4. I am from Texas so my comparisons are different than what may be more local. I ordered a 2 meat plate but they don't have that on the menu so the wait person kind of put on together. That was part of the great service. Brisket- staple in Texas. This one was good but lacked a smoke ring and seemed to be over cooked. About 1/2 of what I got was overcooked and dry. The remaining was marbled well Ribs- had the dry rub. They were also flavored well but seemed to be over cooked., kinda bland. Potto salad- mustard base and pretty good. Bbq beans- best thing I was served. The ribs had good flavor but were very tough. I also had a brisket potato. The brisket tasted like roast beef and the bark was none existent. The ribs and the brisket were definitely reheated and not fresh though you could smell the food two blocks away. If you want fast service, do not come on a Saturday night when they have music. Sat down and ordered our food and 45 minutes later, still did not have anything. Finally had to ask and was given the explanation that when they have a band, tickets can take up to an hour. For us, it took an hour and ten minutes. Once we got the food, it was good as usual.
