The coffee was so interesting and very unique. I was so happy to try this place since I have driven past the other one across the river all the time. This place is also in a great location. Now the reason for the lower rating, seating. It was raining so the tables outside were a no-go and there are only a few very small tables. While there, 10 am Saturday, the place was slammed. The other issue had nothing to do with the workers and more to do with the staff manager. As I said the place was slammed and only one person was there to work the register and make drinks for a bit while I was there. Even with 2 people it took a good while to get a drink and with nowhere to sit it gets awkward. The coffee here is amazing. We ended up coming here twice. Their seasonal coffees are delicious. We also purchased a few coffee bags to take home and they are just as good. Are you looking for a place where you can get a dose of caffeine and feel like you're in a club? This is the place to be. Loud top 40 music playing and bass super heavy. I was not a fan of the small stools and bench seating. I wouldn't say I'm a coffee connoisseur but the coffee flavors they offered did not suit my palate. If you're someone who "drinks" coffee but orders a "double chocolate mocha latte" then this place might be the place for you. I ordered the Hunny which had flowering jasmine, dark chocolate, and wildflower honey. They had different flavored coffee but next time I'll stick to something thats more familiar. A gem in downtown Portland! I came twice in the past two days and had a lovely experience. This place mixes the typical expectation of drinks with a twist. I got the pop and IT WAS SOO GOOD. They have their own speciality drinks that are to die for. However, if you require a milk replacement, make sure you ask the barista when you are picking it up- my barista accidentally put another milk! The place is modern, clean and insanely aesthetic for Instagram pictures! The place fills up really quickly and seating may be hard to find during the busy rush hours. It's a small, bright coffee shop, that seemed more of a grab and go concept (perhaps due to Covid). The staff seems nice, providing recommendations to see what I would like. I had the Iced Oregon latte and that was not bad at all. It was a bit pricey for a standard cup sized drink, but it was good. I will be honest, my partner wanted to come here so we did. I thought the drink was going to be great but it wasn't. Drink was bland, only thing I can taste was milk and water. So far the only place I've found that doesn't burn their espresso. Never uses Oatly brand oat milk which is always a huge plus. Prices are reasonable for Portland. They usually have some fun specialty lattes. Easy recommendation. read more

Super good coffee, service, and overall spirit of the place. Visited Portland from Philly in the summer of 2021 and frequented the shop during my stay. My pick is the Oregon iced latte, the flavors are robust and my s/o has even said it's one of the greatest iced lattes he's ever had. We brought a few bags home and have ordered more to be shipped down since. We visited when the bags still had the prizes inside (like little prizes you'd get in cereal boxes :-)) which was super fun and added to the visit since I wasn't expecting it. A friendly retreat from all of the usual activity downtown and this time of year, the cold. Welcoming vibes greet you at the door with good music and the smell of coffee brewing followed by very nice, chill baristas. They can answer any of your questions and help you make a decision if you're feeling uncertain. I like the black coffee personally which is always dialed in. Plus, you can buy whole bean coffee to take home as well as merch and other stuff. This well lit space makes a great place to sit and stay a while and admire the plants and slowly sip your cup. OMG.... this place rocks. In one of the hippest neighborhoods of downtown Portland. Small place but maybe one of the most creative coffee and Matcha places I've ever been in, but... This is Portland why wouldn't it be. They have two locations this one downtown and the other on the east side. We were directed here from one of the more popular breakfast/brunch places across the street. That's where they get their coffee. Nice warm setting and very attentive barista's. They have five specialty copies and matches every day with crazy combinations added including Bee pollen, licorice, and yazu lime. We just went for a couple of curtados. Some of the best we've had in a long time. Not exactly sure where their coffee comes from but you can buy individual bags for take-home. Even though Portland is known as Stumptown and Stumptown coffee and Peet's coffee rule the roost along with Starbucks, don't bother... Come to this place. You won't regret it read more

I've been wanting to check out this place for a while. My first thought was that I loved the unique flavored drinks. I tried the Yuki and salt coffee it had two shots of espresso and was very delicious. They gave me a 5$ certificate for forgetting about my order I thought that was very nice. The first was very black licoricey, nutty and rich and creamy. The Yuzu first hits your nose with the spices on top, then opens up to a floral , fruity citrus taste that is light and refreshing! It's the perfect latte to brighten your rainy day. It'd be perfect for a summer day too! Definitely try this place. Interesting!!! I love checking out new coffee/tea places, and trying out new flavors. I went in around its opening time (8am) on Saturday and I was the only one there. The service was .. eh - the two workers weren't that friendly, nothing special. I was really excited that this place definitely hits on the unique experience factor! I tried the yuzu, and the pepper-flavored salt (note - just a topper, so is minimal) is a cool kick to your taste buds. The coffee nor the yuzu flavor wasn't necessarily strong though. I can't say it was stellar coffee, but I would most definitely come back here if I was in the area again to try another coffee! read more

Saw this place on tik tok and really liked it! I ordered a 16oz iced vanilla oatmilk latte, and my boyfriend ordered an iced Oregon latte (latte with dulce de leche & special sea salt). We were a little nervous of how the salt would taste, but they were fairly subtle droplets and it was actually so good!! I kept drinking his latte more than mine lol. The inside was very open and light colors with a lot of natural lights/plants. There were 4 wooden picnic tables outside also. Would come back!! read more

Wow wow wow. It's been a couple of weeks since I've been to Never Coffee and I am still thinking about my drink. For the first time in my life I'm sad I live in California since I would love to have Never Coffee all of the time! The Oregon latte is perfection.
