    Tostilocos y Raspa de Piña

This was the best late-night snack I've had in Fremont! I ordered tostilocos and a piña raspa--it was so good. I'll definitely be coming here often.

Exceeded my expectations. Don't be intimidated if you cannot speak Spanish because they are Bilingual. Service was wonderful, very friendly and charming owners/workers. Would for sure come again for the service alone and how quick everything was prepared The whole shop was very clean and calming, small but still a perfect size. Cozy and breezy (at least when I was in there and considering how hot it was during the day I was very happy by that). I ordered the strawberry smoothie (Fresa) and the orange juice. Sooooo delicious and FRESH. I almost was halfway done with my smoothie when I got home because it was so tasty and refreshing. The orange juice was freshly squeezed from the machine and I wasn't expecting that so I really enjoyed that fact. There was a good amount of options on the menu as well and they all looked delicious so I fully intend on going back and trying more. I will definitely recommend this place any chance I get so please support this business and give this place a try because it's definitely worth it.

    tamales

hands down best tamales i've EVER had in my life, they're so soft and flavorful and absolutely delicious . the lady who owns the spot is so welcoming & their raspados are the best, i always come visit when im in newark!!

    Pistachio ice cream

First the service was great, and the pistachio ice cream was really good and creamy. I didn't need to use the restroom, but it was available for customers. The place is very clean. I also ordered a Jalapeño tamale with cheese, it was very good. Overall I recommend this place.

Super cute and clean shop, lots of delicious menu items and the owner is so nice and friendly! Bonus that the shop is super close to my house and in walking distance.

In a small divey shopping center in Newark this little gem boasts of great Mexican desserts. From original flavored ice cream like "chongos" and "gansito" to oreo and vanilla. They have milk shakes and paletas and equites. Also different kinds of tostilocos. Also healthy fresh squeezed juices. The staff friendly and all smiles and let us try various flavors. The bionicos are huge. I will definitely be back for the chongo icecream.

Staff is always super nice. Better mangonadas than what I've had before. Mango sorbet was good mango flavor. Good amount of mangos.

I'd love to keep Pie Dreams my little secret, but out of respect for the proprietor's mad baking skills, it's behind Dino's. The owner is passionate about his pies and shared his philosophy about how pie can make us all nicer, gentler people. I mean, that's not exactly verbatim, but the pie case made it hard to pay attention. On my visit, there were two savory pies (hand pies) and a selection of sweet pies (hand pies and slices). Being a big supporter of small businesses, I ordered 4. All I can say is I'm super happy I don't live closer. The chicken bacon hand pie was delicious. Big pieces of chicken in a flavorful creamy sauce. There may have been some vegetables in it but I was driving and it was unsafe to inspect my pie closely. The caramel apple hand pie was good. Because I'm not an apple pie fan I appreciated that the apples were sliced thinly, not chunky, and I loved the addition of the sanding sugar on top. I ordered the apricot frangipane (AF) for two reasons: it was double-crusted and it didn't have whipped cream on top. I wasn't totally on board with frangipane since my experience with it in boxed chocolates was "meh." Plus they seem to love it on the Great British Bake-Off and it always looks so unappealing. But paired with the tartness of the apricots and a crust that reminded me of shortbread, I think the AF was my favorite, though I haven't tried the blueberry lemon yet. If you love pie, go to Pie Dreams and have a slice or three (no judgment here). If you're not sure or don't think you like pie, go to Pie Dreams. You may surprise yourself.
