In the last few years, Doctor Weitzbach's annual skin cancer checks have found 2 cancers (one requiring radiation and one Mohs surgery) and numerous pre-cancers requiring freezing. The two most serious cancers were caught so early that second opinions from plastic surgeons verified Dr. Weitzbach's early detection saved us from potentially disfiguring surgery that would have been required if the tumors had been allowed to grow. His and his team's treatment of our children has been equally exceptional. Whether treating severe adolescent acne with Accutane, strategies for Psoriasis or simple acne facials, we could not have asked for more or better treatment. I even moved from CA and fly in from Texas just to see him because he's always done such a great job, until now. When I came in for my filler in June 2025, the appointment felt rushed from the start. It usually takes about 30 minutes, but this time Dr. Lin was done in 10 minutes. A few days later, I noticed uneven, hollow areas under my eyes, which was something that has never happened before. I reached out to express my concerns and request a refund for the $850 I paid (which, by the way, used to be $400). Instead of any accountability, I was told by Lucy that refunds are not offered but that I could speak with Dr. Lin directly. Dr. Lin agreed to fix the issue, so I scheduled a follow-up and another flight from Texas, and another expense. But when I arrived in California, I found out Lucy had booked me at a completely different office (Sherman Oaks) instead of the Valencia office I've gone to for a decade. When I realized the mistake and tried to reschedule, as it was too far away for the time I had to do it. I texted back, emailed, even called, and I was completely ignored. Because of this careless handling, I ended up losing $1,400 in travel costs due to flight changes and extra expenses from the government shutdown. And to make matters worse, I now have to spend another $850 elsewhere just to get my filler fixed. I just want a refund of my $850. I can't even begin to describe how disappointed and disrespected I feel after ten years of loyalty. The quality of care and communication has gone drastically downhill since the switch to Unified Health. As a VIP patient, I no longer recognize this practice, and I will not be returning. I am deeply unhappy with my results and the way I was treated.

So I cancelled that appointment due to the misrepresentation and have found another local dermatology group. This is disappointing as I have gone to Dr. Lin for many years and am happy with him but this new group management is horrible.

I can understand 15-20 mins before but 40 mins is outrageous.

I'm reluctant to leave the review that Dr. Sorkin deserves. I'm afraid if I tell everyone how AWESOME she is, she'll be so busy that I won't get to see her as often as I'd like to. Let me tell you why my opinion of dentists is probably the most accurate one you'll ever get: I've been going to multiple dentists since I was three years old. I have a RARE dental condition (dentinogenesis imperfecta - know latin? You can figure it out! :) ) that has made it so that I have spent more time in a dental chair than ten people combined. I know dentists. I know good ones. I know bad ones. Dr. Sorkin is wonderful! She is gentle. She knows her stuff. I dare say the Russian training program for dentists is superior to our own because I've never had a dentist who treats not only my mouth, but all of me. She LISTENS! And what do I love best about her? If she's not sure about something, she doesn't pretend like she does. She takes the time to do the research to find out what the answer is. I'm NOT an easy patient and I know that. My condition is complicated and I'm pretty much a know-it-all when it comes to my teeth and my health. She takes it all with a grain of salt, never loses composure and makes going to the dentist a "no big deal" sort of thing. Just remember, she's MY dentist ...not yours! :) Can't recommend her enough! read more

This is a great practice, run by professionals, efficient and extremely accommodating. Doctor Sorkin has a very soft touch, and makes any procedure seamless and comfortable. Her assistants Hector and Christine are knowledgeable, helpful, fun and courteous. Jennifer at the front desk always goes an extra step to assist with scheduling, insurance information, and, most importantly, clearly explains the financial side of treatment. There are many dentists around, but I am extremely happy to have found New Age Dental, and am definitely recommending it to anyone (although it's tempting to keep this little Gem to myself :)) read more
