I drive 30 minutes to come to this salon and I love it! Every single time I come no matter who does my nails they come out amazing! I get the powder SNS and I find that it's hard to find places that do it well and efficiently. I'm always in and out quickly, I would recommend scheduling and appointment because it gets super busy! But even when they are busy there are enough staff to have a person in every single chair, they get people in and out but do an amazing job! I even recommended the place to my boyfriend who drove past a million times because how busy it looks, but he said he was still in and out in about 30 minutes, and his nails came out great. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning around 10, and even though it was packed I was seated right away. I did the SNS dip powder and it came out amazing! Not too thick, and nice and even on each nail. My nails were cut and shaped exactly how I asked. I've gotten dip powder at other places recently, but ew Babi definitely did the best job. read more

Absolutely the worst manicure I've ever had in my entire life. Jack did my mani and spa pedi, he didn't know what he was doing and you could tell he hated his job. Let's start with pedicure, he put the hot cream but put overly too much so at the end of my 10 min massage.. he washed down my legs( what is the purpose of cream of you are going to wash it off). Secondly my manicure is so horribly done and I told him multiple times what to do and how to paint the nails because it was putting so much on. Went here because of the appearance. Women of color going getting a typical mani (powder) pedi(gel w crylic fill in). Arrived at 10:30 told once to wait for 10-15 then 30-45 min went by told to wait another 20 min which ended up being me getting pulled for my nails till almost 12:30. Getting my pedi by ling, mid way into my pedi she calls her customer to come at 1:15(white lady) as she's rushing to finish my nails she tells me to wait again for someone to do my manicure. I told them I would go somewhere else where they treated their customers with respect. Oh yeah as she was doing my pedi I asked her how much it would be for my mani and pedi after telling her what I wanted she told me oh it would be around 95 which is what I usually pay without tip yeah they charged me 80 no tip included just for my pedicure. Lord knows if they would have treated me better I would have given her over a 40 tip but I didn't feel treated fairly especially making me wait as other white women got serviced before me no appointments yet I will never come here ever again. read more

If I could give this place no stars, that would be too many. Walked in, asked for a pedicure and was told to have a seat in a chair. A man filled the pedicure tub and told me to wait for someone. Just moved into the area and trying to find a good nail salon - sadly, this wasn't it. I gave New Babi 2 stars because it is very clean and nice looking. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming. I paid $30 for a regular mani/pedi, a little expensive in my book. My pedi was average at best. My manicure was even worse. My nails were all filed uneven, I had a thick coating of lotion on my hands that was not rubbed in or washed off, and the polish was applied to the centers of my nails, completely missing the sides. The next morning, my polish had already started to chip. I don't think I'll be returning. FYI, you cannot leave a tip with a credit card. That would have been helpful to know before going in with no cash and having to use their ATM. read more

Not the best nail salon. I use to only get a pedicure there and it wasn't bad but recently went in for uv gel and the girl did such a horrible job they were extremely thick and out of shape so the next day I went back again to get it fixed and no one apologized to me or even agreed that they weren't good. They made me feel like I was wrong. The fix didn't do any justice I left and a week and a half later one fell off and the rest just looked horrible. Also when I sat down I explained to her I wanted natural and she even tried changing my color even when I said no she still got up and picked other colors. I don't recommend them at all. read more

I have been going to New Babi Nails in Bay Shore for a while, but more often the last few months. They close at 7PM on Tuesdays. Anyway, I went to get a regular manicure (nothing fancy) and 85% of the employees were cleaning the store. I was told "come back tomorrow, it's 630." First of all, it was 6:20 (they set their clock 10 minutes ahead), second of all, a regular manicure takes 15 minutes. I will not be going back as they clearly do not need my weekly business if they are going to turn away a regular customer. Adios New Babi. read more

So, I have come here before and I'm never completely sure why I return. This however will be my very last time. My husband come and truly gets a royal pedicure make over and that's any time he goes. I must say it is always very clean, but the quality of my spa pedicure which starts at $50- was trash. I had to literally ask a bunch of time to do things that were included in the pedicure and then finally gave up after I had to ask for her to cut the cuticles that were clearly in need of it. I added the suggested service of gel and was annoyed because I don't like being pushed for a service I don't want. The massage had absolutely no pressure as if she did not want to touch my legs. I haven't been here in forever. I had gel and my nails looked awful once I took it off (at home) and I went to Mia and she helped SO much! She made my natural nails looks really good! Not perfect, but my nails were so bad she made them like 80% better. I moved to the area about a year ago, and it took me a while to find a decent nail salon. When you first walk in, you can't help but notice how busy it is. Regardless, I've never had to wait to get a manicure. They have an incredible selection of colours and brands of polish to choose from. The girls who've done my nails for the most part were all really nice, and did a good job on my nails. The pedicure chair/ soaking tubs are immaculate. All the tools they use come straight out of sterilized bags, like you'd see at a dentist office. I'd recommend this salon for sure read more

This place is so clean! Liners in the tubs, always take the tools out of the sanitized packets, always throw the files away. I've seen them clean everything. Pedicures are definitely on the pricey side but I think they're worth it. I've never come across a spa as sanitary and clean as this one. read more

This place is clean & extremely sanitary. The set up is comfortable yet functional. The prices are high but they do a nice job. My complaint is how ungrateful many of the employees are when you tip them. They aren't appreciative. They also give attitudes when you won't upgrade your pedicure service. Making the customer feel awkward is not smart business. Came in with a friend for just a pedicure. They helped right away and helped me in picking my color. I chose the caught up in the jambalaya by o.p.i. which is a beautiful pinky peach color if you're interested. I got 1 accent white nail and asked for a design. The design, well, I've had it done better but she did alright. I had showed her a photo from pinterest, I don't expect it to come out exactly like the photo but I love when nail techs can add their own pizzazz to the nail designs. It's okay though. This facility has always had 5 starts for how clean they are but every single time I come do a service they will always add an additional service. For example I called in for a gel pedi & i asked the receptionist on the phone for the price she told me $50 so I decided to go in the evening. I get my temperature checked at the door & have to sanitize my hands sign in then sign a waiver. I get seated and the lady doing my nails ask me if i want any spa services added i told her no. She begins to soak the gel off my toes and tells me that the soak off will be an additional $5. I was so irritated because they really take advantage of their customers, how are they going to charge you an additional $5 for something that has to be done in order to actually do my pedicure. Hence why my rating is 2 stars. Its not cool how they try to charge you Additional services like a requirement. This is my last time coming here. They do an okay job but really try to get all your bucks. I've been to many nail salons but this one by far is the cleanest and most efficient one I've ever been to. They have a greeter at the door that assigns you to a nail tech and seats you at the pedicure station. They use the disposable plastic "bags" in the tubs for sanitary reasons and they have about 8 different pedicure styles you can pick from. The polish/gel selection is great - many different colors to chose from. I've been satisfied with every pedicure/manicure that I have gotten there. I only gave them 4 stars because they close at 7pm during the week because they all catch a train back to Queens. It's impossible for me to get there after work so I have to go on the weekend. read more

Have only ever used them for their pedicures...but every time it has been fantastic. The raspberry pomegranate is my favorite and definitely worth the extra money. Also, I have two young girls who love coming with me and for $12 each they have basic mani/pedis and get art work too. Also they always get treated like princesses. I tried this place with my sisters last week. At first I thought it was very clean, with a nice atmosphere. But, I soon realized the staff members were cold. They rushed through a spa pedicure that was $45. It took he same amount of time as my sister's regular pedi. It felt like a factory assembly line. After my manicure was completed and I went out into the daylight, I realized the color used for my mani was a different shade. I also noticed multiple bubbles and polish on my cuticles. Just moved to the area and was in search of a decent manicure/eyebrow wax. First time I went the manicure was not good. Not terrible, but sloppy polish job and uneven filing. I'm not too picky with my nails so I decided to go back again a few weeks later to try again for a manicure and this time an eyebrow wax. Same less than impressive manicure, but the waxing job was SO AWFUL. It has been 7 months since this terrible wax and my eyebrows still have not grown in all the way. All I wanted was a simple clean up and she absolutely butchered them. I've since been going to European wax center in smithtown. It's a further drive but it's so well worth it. They're always rushing and sometimes take forever to attend you. I would always get a gel mani./pedi. They don't last long like they used to. They've gone downhill and are all about the bottom line, neglecting the customer. The nail salon appears clean but is far from it. The staff rushes through the service in a hurry to get the next paying customer in the chair. I wouldn't get waxed here, their wax is not temperature controlled and they reuse wax sticks which breeds bacteria and can cause infections. They're always trying to upsell their services and there is no benefits to their spa services unless you like wasting money. read more
