Never really had issues this location. They're very kind. Meal is fresh. And are good with timing for pickups. If there ever was a day they were somewhat late for my food is because it can get busy here, however, the few minutes for my food is still well worth the extra wait. A great value. You really have to read through all the reviews here to understand what's going on. Is this a nice place inside? No. Are the people super warm? Not particularly. Is the food a phenomenal value for the money? Absolutely! I had the bourbon chicken and rice and it was outstanding to get that much Chnese ifood for less than $10. Quite frankly, it was a bit of a surprise to me. What's more, I was traveling and they stayed open late for me to come and pick it up. It's hard for me to be critical of this place. Yes, I know it's a chinese fast food place. They're pretty much the same as other places but there are a few items that they make that are better than others IMHO. Young Chow fried rice, they actually use white rice not yellow or brown rice. It has a good mix of meats and shrimp and it's not too salty and not douse in soy sauce. One order of these usually last me at least 2 meals. Steam/fried dumplings(mainly the sauce makes it taste good, the sauce is good on egg rolls too if you don't like the sweet duck sauce). Their shrimp with mix veggies aren't bad either. Bean curd and veggies not bad either, just hope that you get the thick cut bean curd, they're tastier. I usually get the last two in the combination menu, so you get a drink and egg roll. Those are pretty much I order when I go there. Other than those, everything else is the same. I threw out all the other menus and posted this bad boy up on the fridge, where it's stayed ever since to be my faithful guide to the delights of the orient; the Virgil to my Dante, guiding me to my Bamboo Beatrice. I chose delivery. Food was lukewarm at best when it arrived. And, of course, leaking all over the bag. I ordered: Hot and sour soup extra spicy: good flavor. Probably tastes better when it's hot. Steamed dumplings: super thick dough. I had to peel the dough off of these to make them palatable. Kinda gross. Orange chicken spicy: really good. Probably amazing when it's hot. Spicy shrimp: pretty good. I ordered the mild flavor and it's not really hot at all. It's a good shrimp and veggie option. House lo mein: thick noodles, I prefer the thin ones. Literally 3 shrimp in the whole container. Like the garlic sauce. Again, probably better when it's hot. Overall not terrible. It's dime-a-dozen Chinese take-out but it's made really well. I can't tell you how many times I've tried these places and gone vegetarian because of the mystery meat they put in the dish. Not here. Happy they actually use real chicken and beef, and good cuts of each at that. They're always friendly and the price is great. Delivery is a bonus. read more

Really good food; I ordered sesame chicken, fried dumplings, and a California roll. Everything was delicious and very filling, it took me a day to slowly work through the items. Chicken and broccoli is my go to item when trying a new Chinese restaurant since this is the most basic nonfailed item... We'll guess was wrong. You can see in the picture, very very skimpy on the chicken, doesn't have that thick brown yummy sauce, fried rice is very bland, doesn't have any peas and carrots or pieces of roast pork. The wonton soup that comes free with the lunch is just wonton in water... Dumpling is mostly wonton shell with nothing much inside. Worst experience hands down with this "restaurant" we ordered the home style tofu (as we always do from Chinese restaurants) specifically with no vegetables due to an allergy related issue. The lady took my order over the phone and even repeated back to me no vegetables. So I thought everything was clear and understood. When we received our meal not only was there an overload of vegetables but also only a handful of pieces of tofu. I couldn't eat any of it due to my specific allergy. We also ordered the crab Rangoon, usually a favorite of ours. Unfortunately the wonton had either been overcooked, undercooked, or very old. The consistency of the wonton is noodle like and the filling is next to none. Needless to say we were very unhappy, we spent $20 and the only thing we were able to enjoy is the free fortune cookies. I informed them that on my new diet of no bread or rice (or sugar) I can not eat rice. I asked if instead of the rice that comes standard with their meals, such as Mongolian Beef, I could have a little bit more of the vegetables that also come with it. It seemed like a fair request--a few more vegetables in place of the container of rice I could not eat, so I would not still be hungry after the meal. The manager--Whitney--said no. She said that I would receive the rice whether I wanted it or not. It was up to me if I did not want to eat it. She said, "no substitutions" and suggested I buy a side of vegetables for two or three dollars more. She did not speak in a rude tone, but she showed absolutely no concern for the customer. In fact, she seemed to think I was doing something wrong by suggesting an alternative, like I was trying to break their laws. I canceled the order and took my business elsewhere. Whitney's decision and her indifference to the dietary needs of one customer has cost Bamboo Express a family of regular customers--easily several hundred dollars a year. I will add that the other restaurants I frequent have been accommodating. For example, Village Inn suggested a side of fruit instead of the pancakes that were standard with the meal. Chipotle served more vegetables when I declined rice and beans in their bowl dish. Etc. read more

We order from this place a few times a month. Priced right, good delivery times and okay quality. Chow Mei Fun is great as is the Mongolian Beef. Wife gets the Pork Fried Rice with no veggies and that is either really fresh or a bit on the no so side. So, hit and miss of the freshness scale.
