Decided to get my Accord serviced at New Century rather than Pasadena (primarily due to very long waiting times, lack of attention & below average customer service at Pasadena). Very happy I came to New Century. Excellent customer service, service department made it easy to get an appointment, didn't have to wait around looking for help, prompt/easy shuttle service, timely delivery of car. This is how it should be everywhere!! Had some trouble with the tech connection for my phones - they resolved it for me. They were very kind, helpful and explained it to me with amazing patience. (Not the experience I had at Pasadena.) The only negative at New Century is their permanent building/location is under construction and the temp location is a bit dingy. Not a space you want to hang around and wait for your car. Despite this I would still highly recommend New Century Honda in Glendale and it where I'm going for my next service. read more

Been working with this store for a while now as a business account and I repeatedly get disappointed by the parts department. From their passive aggressive attitudes to their absurd return policies. No other Honda dealer is like this: I'm officially done with these folks. I ordered a part for a customer last week and was told it would arrive Saturday for pick up. Literally waiting on it. They said I had missed the cutoff time by a few minutes... whatever. Day comes and I drive to the dealership and there's no order, no part... just a saved quote. As soon as I walked in, I was with the firmest handshake I have ever experienced by a sales rep by the name "Mark Gonzalez". I expressed how I was mistreated and was not looking forward to any gimmicks, or any back and forth, furthering my complications. Mark fully understood the assignment, his responses solely provided solutions. I was in a test drive in under 5 minutes, was provided with a thorough description of the cars model and the comparisons of the lower/higher trim. Every problem/obstacles I encountered, Mark and the team at Honda were readily available to provide me with the best solution they could present. I honestly never thought I'd be treated like this at a Honda dealership. The experience was extremely unwelcoming from the moment I walked in, and it completely changed my perception. The salesperson who initially approached me was unexpectedly rude and came across as irritated, without any clear reason. This set a negative tone for the entire visit. I show up and they tell me that they probably won't get to it today. Then why book the appointment? - So they book me a new appointment to get all this done for a week later. If I could give zero stars, I would. I will never buy another Honda. My car has under 80,000 miles, yet the paint is peeling badly. It's been garage-kept for most of its life and hasn't been exposed to extreme climates, so this level of deterioration is unacceptable. I went to this dealership twice to have the parts department evaluate the issue, and both visits were completely unhelpful. I also spoke with the Parts and Service Manager and the Sales Manager, and neither provided any guidance or solutions. On top of that, I filed a claim with Honda Corporate, which was denied simply because the car has over 30,000 miles--what kind of customer service is that? After doing my own research, I found this is a well-documented Honda issue, with multiple class-action lawsuits related to paint defects. For comparison, a friend had paint chipping on a Toyota and Toyota repaired it at no cost. I also consulted more than five auto body shops, all of which confirmed this should not be happening at such low mileage and that Honda should be responsible for repairs due to a manufacturing defect. Honda needs to take accountability and fix this problem. If you're considering buying a Honda, I wouldn't recommend it--maybe consider Toyota instead. read more

Dealing with the stooges at New Century Honda has been truly bizarre! The sales rep: --spoke to me like I had never bought a car before. --asked me if we could have some sort of "personal relationship" (Gross!!! No!) -- Challenged my director-level job title that I have earned over decades of hard work as though I were a complete stupid joke (He kept repeating it with disbelief and outrage: "YOU?" "A DIRECTOR? "DIRECTOR???".) --After I stopped responding to his texts, he called me a day later with a new offer, *higher by several thousand dollars* The real bizarro part happened when he put me on speaker phone with three of his fellow nincompoops. But he didn't tell me I was on speaker phone; I could just hear them whispering frantically about me in the background. One of them even called me a "jerk" when I stood my ground in refusing to pay for add-ons I didn't ask for. So, I asked the sales associate to please have the people in the background introduce themselves, at which point, the sales associate panicked and scuttled out of the room. I am floored that someone in sales would personally insult the client to their face, and then ask them to pay even more money-- and think the deal would go through! That's crazy! I There are so many other places willing to sell you a car. I ended up doing business with a saleswoman at a different dealership and bought the exact same year/make/model/trim that I requested from New Century. All for a much lower price (lower by several thousand dollars) and in under an hour with no haggling, no sexism, no incompetence. Go somewhere else! read more

Never get GAP insurance from HONDA CENTURY in Glendale. Just add it to your auto insurance. Poor customer service! Century Honda is great in sales but when it came to refunding the additional GAP insurance with the finance department make sure you get a confirmation fax and the form. We paid off our auto loan early and went to Honda Century in Glendale to complete a GAP refund form on 9/26/21 and supposedly it was faxed. It's mid January 2022 and the refund check has not arrived. Contacted American Honda Finance Corporation department in Torrance to find out that they never received the GAP refund form on 9/26/21 via fax from Honda Century. The Honda employee that helped us never gave us a fax confirmation. I should of noticed the red flags such as the incorrect date placed on the "GAP cancellation date" of "9/26/2023" instead of "9/26/2021". Unprofessional behavior! Four months later, it is 1/29/2022 and we are still waiting for our $500+ refund. Although the sales team was great this entire experience with the Honda Century finance department I will never recommend them again to family members or friends. read more

I want to start this off with I've leased at least 10 cars total for myself, friends and family included. 5 of them being my own. 2 of them from New Century Honda. My civic 22 sport lease was ending and I decided to go back to see my options. Potentially buying my current lease or trading it in. Well let me tell you. This lack of incompetence is mind boggling. First of all. They ran my credit for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. I questioned it multiple times and the guy I was talking to insisted they have to do that... When I just wanted to find out what kind of payment I could be expecting. I went to two different dealerships after and neither did that. When I mentioned New Century did that... They were also confused as to why. As someone with a background in business and finance, I approached this situation with informed expectations. I had already spoken to Honda Financial in advance to avoid surprises. However, New Century Honda's approach was both confusing and opaque. For instance, what should have been a straightforward $15,000 buyout quickly escalated to nearly $23,000 due to unexplained fees. When I questioned the additional costs, such as a "Market Value Selling Price" adjustment, I was met with vague and unsatisfactory explanations. I was told these fees were "normal" and attributed to the transition from a lease to a purchase--claims that did not make any sense or hold up when I asked others, including a friend who works at a different dealership. Despite my frustration, I continued the conversation in hopes of clarifying the discrepancies, only to encounter uncoordinated tactics from multiple sales representatives. Each individual provided inconsistent information, which only compounded my dissatisfaction. Eventually, highly frustrated and annoyed, I decided to leave without finalizing any deal. Finally, the phone call. Someone called me yesterday and asked why I won't be coming back. When I brought up all the BS I dealt with. His response is: "Oh yeah, this guy is new, sorry about that. He didn't know" WTF!? You hired someone inexperienced who ran my credit for NO reason and you can just say sorry? Then I mentioned how they gave me BS deals and it was 3 guys with completely different tactics. His response? "Yeah, we had a meeting today about how customers shouldn't be talking to multiple people, we apologize..." So suddenly, I should just forgive you? Not ONCE did this individual actually say they will do something to correct this mistake. At no point did anyone attempt to make amends or rebuild trust. Lame, pathetic excuses. When I shared my concerns, the responses were underwhelming and dismissive. As a business, when a customer makes a complaint and you're at fault, attributing them to a "new" team member, but offering no tangible resolution and acknowledging internal issues with your sales process but failing to take responsibility or propose corrective actions is not the way you go about things. You figure out a solution and make it up to a customer. Which makes me wonder who's even in charge here? Or if they even care about their customers or just making profit. Ultimately, this experience left me with the impression that New Century Honda prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction, engaging in practices that feel disingenuous and unprofessional. I've since taken my business elsewhere and had a significantly better experience with nearby dealerships in Pasadena and North Hollywood, where my requests were met without unnecessary complications or hidden fees. I strongly recommend reconsidering doing business with New Century Honda. To be honest, I suggest you go anywhere else but here. If they try to pressure you with BS such as "you won't get a better deal," run. You'll get a better deal else where. Their approach undermines the trust and loyalty customers place in their service. I will be escalating my concerns to Honda corporate and filing a formal complaint about the deceptive practices I encountered. I have all three individuals name I interacted with and will be letting them know. I chose to keep it private here, out of respect. My experience with this dealership went from an initial experience to one that quickly spiraled due to dishonesty, which lost them a sale on a 2024 Honda Pilot. Prior to visiting this dealership, I called to work out some numbers and once everything was confirmed, I decided to drive down to the dealership because my father in law was in market for a new car. I had established communication with Alfredo, who was fairly new to the business, but was told his manager was also "guiding" him during our deal. We saw the car but I had decided to wait a bit longer as I wanted to do further research. A week passes and I call them to say everything is good to go and that my family would be over to sign the papers and take the car. However, after my sister in law received the numbers, it did not add up for several reasons: - The payments for both financing and leasing were ridiculous - $700 and upwards! - There were other "fees" and features added which we did not need. We asked for these extra add-ons to be removed and they complied - BUT the payments went up and they manipulated the numbers. Clearly, they hid the extra costs and lied. - I was out of town so directly called Alfredo to see what was going on. Literally verbatim, I asked "What is going on? These are not the numbers to which we agreed to and this doesn't make sense." He replied, "Well, costs go up and this is normal." This was his response and he did stumble with his words. I told them to leave the dealership and will NEVER go here and recommend this place! Fortunately, I was able to find an amazing deal at another dealership with almost 2k less down and at $500/month for the same exact car.
