The town was pretty busy on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, but I was able to order quickly and had my sandwich in just a few minutes. I went with the Italian Cold, and I highly recommend it--the flavors were fantastic and everything tasted fresh. I grabbed a seat outside and enjoyed my sandwich while listening to some live music on the street. Great food, quick service, and a fun atmosphere. Yesterday we went in for an early dinner, and the host could not have been more rude. Tall guy with the bird on his neck (tat). We wanted to discuss beers and the special. Bird guy said, "what, you can't use the QR code?" Actually, in this day and age, a restaurant that still uses QR codes to order is a sign that they simply want to save money and not employ polite staff. Finally, a pleasant enough woman took our order. Because really their attitude was, "we are doing you a favor by waiting on you". The food and beer was as good as usual but the staff were as rude and unhappy as I've ever seen. And I've worked in the restaurant industry a while. We will be frequenting the pizza place next door from now on and avoiding the unfriendly Busey Brews atmosphere. thank you very much.

Though the business has only been around for a few years, one of the cars was built in 1906, and all of them have a unique story to their name. As far as the shop is concerned, it's a standard cafe with coffee, tea, and breakfast food options. With the addition of kava if that's your jam. The best part of this place is checking out the various train cars, all different with various types of seating options. We ordered coffees, sandwiches, and their self-proclaimed "world famous" mini donuts. The sandwiches came out piping hot. I was actually impressed with the bacon egg and cheese. Generous serving of egg, especially. Much better than the bagel spot around the corner! The donuts were good, but you really need to eat them right away while they're hot. Nice addition of the maple bacon, and solid portion to split between a few people. Considering a few places I enjoyed going to in Nederland have changed concepts, I definitely prefer coming to Train Cars Coffee and Kava. Looking forward to trying them again and seeing more of what they offer!

Then I watched him go on his phone for a minute, pick up the coffee carafe and walk outside. He never came to me. Unfortunately they leave one of the doors open on the staff side so there were so many flies all over the restaurant. I also watched them use the microwave to heat food that was sent back from another table. Honestly, Gordon Ramsey would have a lot to say about this place.
