This dealership sold me a car with major safety issues. Subframe bolts were missing, zip ties and jb weld were used as replacements. The transmission failed after 130 miles. This car is a 2007 BMW M6 that I paid $25000 for. The trans issue will cost $6000 for repair. The Manager Adrian said he would have it repaired and even spoke to my local BMW dealer. Adrian is a scammer and a liar. Now he avoids my calls and will not call me back. I will post pics in the next couple days. read more

Terrible customer service. I went to go look a at Evo X very excited. As soon as I got there it went down hill. I wanted to test drive it to see if I liked it and if it was in the condition I was looking for. The salesmen made us fill out a application for the car to see if I was able to get approved. I told him I don't want the application I want to drive the car first. It took him 30 minutes to get the key. Once I finally stepped in it the car wouldn't go into reverse. The manager then yells to stop and not to let me drive it. I asked why and a worker said it was because I didn't know how to drive manual. But I have 3 years or experience. When the workers they tried to get in reverse even they couldn't get it in gear. That makes no sense. How is it my lack of experience when even the workers can get it. The other excuse they said it that I wasn't approved for the car. HOW AM I NOT APPROVED FOR THE CAR, I DIDNT EVEN GIVE THEM ALL MY INFORMATION. They wanted me to fill out a pre- approved application and they demanded my social security. I told them no, not until I drive it. They discriminated. DO NOT GO THERE read more

After looking for the perfect car at the right price, I stumbled upon an ebay listing for a preowned 2007 Porsche 911 4s coupe , at what seemed like a fair price albeit a notch over KBB pricing. Did all the research and car fax reports ...shows everything adds up.! I submitted my application and was notified it was approved but they insisted I travel up to Chicago and sign all the paperwork there. I made sure the sales man was aware that I was flying up and wanted all the niggling issues of the car resolved. I arrived at the dealership, down payment and vehicle insurance in hand and noticeably excited , only to be greeted by the salesman who advised me that the car was being washed and ready to go but had a flight issue that was being resolved in their service shop . The sales man ,Daniel handed me a restaurant gift card and apologized for the delay! 10 minutes later I stepped out to greet my car and there was this pathetic looking tired / worn out filthy looking car... barely looking up at its potential new owner. The outside of the car was all scratched up with a badly repainted front bumper and the inside ....atrocious!!!!!...shot leather seats/ steering / door panels and broken or stained gauges overwhelmed me !! I went for a test drive and the battery died on me !! I was upset and furious !!! I stayed calm ..gave the gift card back to Daniel and flew back home!! Today Tuesday the 20th I found the exact same car at Birmingham Brokers in Alabama in all the right combination and purchased it on the spot! PLEASE PLEASE take a moment and read!! I spoke with a salesman there his name was Daniel L. I told him I am buying a 2017 Mercedes c43 and I am driving 4.5 hours to pick it up. Morning of me leaving told him I was coming and he replied with "awesome we are ready". I even had the bank speak to him about placing the lien on the car. 10 minutes before arriving, after driving 4.5 hours, sent me a text stating the car was just sold. After arriving my family and I were approached by Daniel. We were obviously upset after driving 4.5 hours to just turn around and drive right back. While speaking to him, another salesman approached us getting in my fathers face wanting to fight. Asked for a supervisor and it turned out the other person screaming at us was the "supervisor". Not a single apology from anyone that was standing there. The "supervisor" was the worst of all, asking me to fight him, calling us cheap, and to get off the property. Cops were called and we waited. The cop that came told me "this happens here all the time". Overall, please DO NOT do business here. I have never been treated with so much disrespect. If I could give no stars, I would. My brother called in to schedule a test drive for a 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo. We drove to the dealership and asked for Val, the person with whom my brother spoke on the phone. My brother proceeded to tell him that we were there for the test drive. Val wanted to know if my brother wanted to ask questions first or test drive first, which was a pretty odd question, considering no one has ever said anything like that when we have test driven elsewhere. Val already was not very friendly and was saying that he needed to get an umbrella. My brother thought he had asked him if he had one, and my brother said that he did. Then Val said, well what about me? Or some other smartass comment similar to that. Then he kept asking my brother about his credit and saying that it would be difficult to finance the car with my brother's trade-in and cash. He was being smug about the whole thing and trying to discourage him about the car, which no real salesman would do. He then mentions that he has to run the numbers on my brother's car because "this isn't a Toyota Corolla. You can't just take this for a ride." He gives my brother the keys and my brother asks if the tires are new. Val says "You can check the tires." and does not answer the question. My brother then gets in the car and is holding an umbrella, and Val is rudely barking at him not to put the umbrella in the car. My brother didn't understand him, and put it in. Then Val asked me if my brother was indeed my brother. When I said yes, I am pretty sure he muttered "dumbass" referring to my brother. I wanted to rip him a new one but kept my cool and waited to tell my brother about it to see if he wanted to leave and confront Val about this. In the end, Val made my brother and I go back into the dealership after having stood in pouring rain thinking we would test drive it. He then told us that he would have to run a credit check before he would let him test drive it. I told my brother not to do that and that we should just leave, which we did. It is pathetic to require that. I own a GLK350 and was never told that I had to do that to test drive it. Unless you like arrogant jerks who treat you like crap, do not go here. Go to an actual dealership with real salespeople who understand the concept of customer service. read more

My husband bought a 2006 bmw 750Li cash and within 2 weeks of purchasing it the brake lights came on So we took the car to patrick bmw in Schaumburg after patrick tried to fix the problem 3 times leaving us with out a car for 6 weeks. And thousands of dollar spent we picked up the car but they were never able to fixed the problem. So I took the car to patrick bmw and told them that I wanted to trade this car in they asked for the keys and told me to wait about 5 min.... they came back and asked me if I knew that the title wasn't clear and it was a lemon car. I told them that I had no idea. So the used car manager and the service manager put 2 and 2 together and realized that's probably why they weren't able to fix the break malfunction. So bmw told me that they won't take my bmw as a trade because of the lemon and title not being clear. Last week my husband and I went to lux cars to tell them we want our money back and they offered us 9000 when we paid 16000 cash mid March not to mention our vehicle was in the shop for 6 weeks we put less that 2000 miles on the vehicle in 3 months. And then Earl tried to lie to us and tell us he took the car to patrick bmw in Schaumburg on 3-31 to be serviced when that was a lie because that's when my husband brought the car to patrick bmw but on the carfax it fell under lux cars as the 3rd owner taking it there which wasn't accurate. Not only am I filing a complaint with the bbb and the attorney general but I am going to small claims court monday and filing a civil suit. read more

Called ahead to check out a car, got there and the car was blocked in my 10 other cars. I did a quick walk around then got in it to test drive it and the battery was dead. Had to get it jumped and they're telling me its good. Half way through my test drive the check engine light came on and the car would dip to 200rpm and stall out on me. I got stuck because the battery was dead and car wouldn't start. Needless to say I didn't buy the car and haven't gone back. read more

buyers beware! i have just ended a 2 month nightmare after buying a Mercedes from lux cars. i live in Atlanta and relied on the dealership for information. huge mistake. i found the car online and it looked great. it was listed as very clean and showed the body and the interior in great shape. I spoke with a salesman, Keisy. he told me the car was in amazing shaped an had no issues, mechanical or otherwise. i asked if it had 2 keys, owners manuals, was serviced by Lux, body dents, interior smells, condition of the wheels and tires and if he had driven the car.he said yes to everything...the car was perfect. based on all the positive information i received, i bought the car, paid for shipping ($700) and a warranty ($299). the car was to be delivered to my house in a few days. 5 days later than promised, the truck driver called to tell me to meet him 20 minutes away from my house, it was 10 PM and freezing out. the truck driver told me that there was a "check engine" light on when he started it. the next day i contacted Keisy via text, and he sent me a crying face emoji in reply. i called and spoke with a manager on duty. he said they would take care of everything and not to worry. he asked me to go and get a diagnosis on the check engine light and they would handle it. i did that and sent the results. i was told by the general manager, Adrian, to take it to Mercedes and get a quote. they would handle it. Adrian told me that when they ship cars, the cars are turned "upside down" (absurd) and it can cause the check engine light to go off. the car was perfect when it was in Chicago. Mercedes said that the work would be $4,000. the car would not pass state inspection nor emissions without the needed repairs. the warranty they sold me was worthless. Adrian was going to have is shipped back to Chicago from Atlanta to repair it at lux. he told me that i would be reimbursed for the diagnostics and for a rental car. I paid the $300+ for the diagnostics so that they would release the vehicle to Lux's truck driver. and, i paid for the rental car about $300 as well. This is now three and a half weeks after I got the car. I asked Adrian when they were going to pick the vehicle up and he had no idea that the vehicle was not back at Lux. At this point I had to have the vehicle repaired in Atlanta. I paid over $4,000 for the repairs I contacted Adrian and he asked me for a copy of the bills and that he would reimburse me for the some portion of the repair plus the other expenses. After not having heard from him I started to call him and email him persistently. One excuse after another, he was never there, he was busy in a meeting, and I would get vague email responses. At no point did he send any payment to cover the nearly $5,000 that I was out of pocket. After chasing him down, he told me that he had to speak to the owner of the business and then they would send me a check. another week or so went by and after persistently calling and emailing, Adrian emailed me a legal release that I had to sign agreeing not to sue them and he would send me $1,800 to cover all of the expenses. Now several weeks after this process had started I was able to drive the car as it had passed emissions. There was an awful odor coming from the air conditioning system. I took it in to find out that there was mold growing inside the air conditioning system and the cabin filters were black with mold. The suspension on the vehicle was shot. Turning the wheel cause the car to rock like a boat at highway speed. When the windows were open a loud Whistling noise could be heard. I believe this was due to an air leak in one of the window seals. I also had an issue with the steering as it tended to lock up. I had paid about $20,000 for the car and over 4,000 in repairs plus rent-a-cars. And I am now looking at more repair costs. I gave up and traded the vehicle in to a real car dealership. I got offers of 14 and $15,000 for the car but finally got one at 16,000. So my total loss based on the lies deception deceitful business practices of Lux Auto is over $8,000. I found this company to be utterly dishonest, overtly deceptive and if it wasn't for persistence, I would never have gotten the paltry sum of $1,800 out of them. I say this to anyone who reads this review, beware of this dealership. Unless you have a good attorney in Chicago, don't buy from them. I made a huge mistake by trusting the salesman and by trusting the management. It cost me a lot of money a lot of time and obviously a lot of aggravation. I am going to post my review on every website I can find because if I can save one person from having to be ripped off like I was, then I will at least feel like I did something to prevent these Shady car salesman from ripping someone else off like they ripped me off. read more

I purchased a 2014 Dodge ram 3500 dually from Lux Cars of Chicago on 07/26/17 from Daniel. I was assured it was in excellent shape with no mechanical issues. The vehicle was delivered to me on 8/2/2017. I then get in the vehicle to drive it and the roaring noise from the rear end is very obvious. I call Daniel and he tells me to have it checked out and they will make it right. I then go to the Dodge dealership and have them look at it. They tell me the ring and pinion in the truck is bad. I call Lux and let them know what the Dodge dealership said. They ask me to email them the invoice for repairs which I did. Now this morning I have been going back and forth with the Manager Adrian trying to get the situation rectified. They do not wanna pay to have this fixed. They are trying to say it was fine when it left there and it must be the transport companies fault( it was transported on a trailer).They offered to send me the parts and I could find someone to fix it with me paying the labor because they get a 25% off deal on the parts, but no one in my area will touch it with customer supplied parts. I told them they need to call the dealership and have it taken care of or I would contact my attorney and then he hung up on me. This place is a scam. Bought an 07 Jaguar XK a year and a half ago. Need to sell it now and find out it was a lemon law vehicle. The salesmen/team did not disclose this to me in any way shape or form. I asked thorough questions and was told everything was fine and good. Car drove great for a while and then everything went to crap. Front passenger rim was cracked, electronics were messed up so the car ate batteries. Do not buy a car from this fraudulent dealership. Horrible experience, bought a C63 AMG from them I'm out of state, it wouldn't pass emulsions, they said it had no codes, not the case. It had s code for a fuel tank pressure sensor, I had that repaired $125 part 8 hours labor to put it in... I then drove the car about 1000 miles to get through the drive cycle to pass emissions, it won't go through the drive cycle. Two things are turned off in the ecu. It looks like it was pry'd open and has been modified. I not know who did the work and it's encrypted so it has to be re-flashed $800 with no guarantee as to not know what was done previously. I can order a new one, has to be through a Mercedes dealer by vin number for over $2000. They knew there was an issue and passed the problem onto the next guy, namely me. Don't trust them don't buy from them they are only worried about making $$ not customer service. read more

They even come close to the kind of service i had at Lux Cars, state ofnthe art facilities are impressive but it's nothing if your people don't have good service skills. Six months later brought the car in for the free oil change and was treated very rude for the entire 90 minutes I waited for my car. They didnt even bother to wash my car. Went in to look at a car we saw on line (drove an hour to get there), they pulled the car up, we took it for a long drive, they looked at our car that we wanted to trade in, we haggled a bit (as is expected at ANY dealership), and low and behold, we made a deal we were all happy with!! They fixed the couple of minor issues we had while we waited, did all the paperwork and transfers, changed the oil, detailed the car for us, and we drove home with our new car...what a nice experience! I purchased a Lexus GS 300 from Lux Cars. Alex had great follow up and everything was as promised when I arrived at the dealership. Driving 4 hours from out of town was always poses a risk as you hope the car is exactly as presented online. Alex was upfront about the few blemishes the Lexus had I had no surprises upon inspection of the car. Paperwork was handled within 20 minutes and they detailed/washed the car prior to handing it over to me. I was out the door in less than one hour. The day before my flight left Earl called me to let me know that there was a problem with that vehicle however, he assured me that there would be vehicle which would make me very happy. As I arrived at O'hare someone came to pick me up just as my plane landed and took me to the dealership. When I arrived Earl showed me the vehicle which he mnetioned to me. Purchased a Jeep Sahara from this business in January. I have had nothing but problems. Didn't know the window seal was broken until the first day it rained and it was leaking. The software was never updated and it couldn't pass the emissions test. Both Jeep Bosak and another car repair specialist stated that this car could not have been inspected before it was sold. They have written reports and pictures that show my family could've been in serious danger of the car flipping over due to the lift kit not being on there properly. So this may result in a lawsuit. These car dealerships especially in Illinois get away with a lot and once you purchase a car it's pretty much a done deal and these laws have to change. You're buying cars that don't mess up until they're driven a few thousand miles. I understand the risk that come with buying used cars but I will never purchase another used car in Illinois from an unreputable car dealership. Unfortunately it took me 5 days after sale to find that the vehicle I purchased was in a MAJOR accident and things have started going wrong not covered by warranty. Mario is slick and sly...stay away from him and this dealer. To make matters worse, I can't even get the sales manager to call me back. Brutal, if I could negative 10 I would...bought a car about 6 months or so, was told car was inspected and good to go, in the last 6 months I have had to put on new tires, brakes, hoses, belts, struts are messed up and now it won't drive over 15000rpms, differential and valves are messed up. Probably timing belt. Plus the power amp doesn't work and no audio. Total about 8k or so. In my driveway and not drivable. NO WAY was it inspected. I realize it's used and have owned many cars in my life, but this is a joke! Yes they showed me some checklist when I bought it and unfortunately I trusted them. When I called to express concern was told to go f myself, called back and the guy called me an ahole. Both times hung up on me. Called a third time and was laughed at, I'm not saying anything except my experience. Have fun with them, I am pursuing my legal and liability options. I am going to check my title for a lemon law and if so you will be hearing from legal. I am also checking with legal and law enforcement, they are endangering lives by the crap they sell and people unfortunately trust their word. When I arrived at the dealership I felt like the place was shady. I took the car I was looking at for a test drive and noticed things were not working or that it was making weird noises and the only response I got was that is normal (red flag)for these cars or I will have my mechanic look at it (red flag). When we arrived back at the dealership and started discussing the vehicle and pricing he mentioned that the car had already been inspected and serviced. If that was the case why would the things that were not working need to be looked at? I asked if I could see the work order that shows what was checked and serviced and was told we are a small local shop and we do not have that kind of documentation (red flag). Also during this conversation he tried to tell me that the car was purchased at auction and because of all the hurricanes that they were having to pay higher than trade in value at the auctions for cars so that is why can not lower price. So I said that means my trade in is worth more and of course he said well no. Needless to say I did not end up buying a vehicle from this dealer. I recently went to this place (not good enough to be considered a dealership) to view an infiniti QX56 that is still posted up, but I went there and delt with a very rude man by the name of Alex.I lied and told the man my credit was 600, to see if my treatment would be any dofferent, and it was my credit is actually 850 and I purchased a brand new Chrysler 300C. I asked to test drive the SUV he took a copy of my license and I thought I was set to test drive this baby. Once I get out to start the text drive he tells me rudely that I'm not able to test drive it until he checks my credit. It immediately sent a red flag, I've been to more prestigious, reputable dealerships that this and they let me test drive before letting any banks dance all over my credit. I decide just to check the car out for the fun of it. It looked beautiful on the outside, but as soon as I opened the driver door, the panel was tore off, GONE. Which was shady, they might be fooling people and changing the mileage. I also started it to hear the engine and as soon as I put the key in the ignition and it took 5 seconds for the engine to turn over. I immediately left, the listing did not mention any of these problems the SUV had. From this review obviously you get the point that I do not recommend you waste your time with these people. read more
