Açaí bowl and chai -both good!
    Peyton W.

I've been going to New World since before they moved from their old location over at Pleasant Valley. The food and drinks are still good quality, albeit have gone up a bit in price. It's still a good spot to meet up and grab a coffee or a bite to eat. My biggest issue is that it feels so sterile and "modern." Modern isn't necessarily a bad thing but it's just very clean and "diner-esque." I don't know how else to put it but the old location was cozier. It was the type of cafe where you could feel comfortable getting lost in a book, or studying for extended periods of time. I'm sure some people would be fine doing the same here, but for me it's lost some of its comfort and charm. I think one thing that could help is putting up some local art or adding more varied comfortable seating options. Just my two cents! Otherwise as I mentioned, the quality has remained the same and the service is still good! I still recommend going, I guess I'm just nostalgic for the vibes it used to have.

Scrambled eggs with cheese and turkey sausage

Bright spot (think it used to be Steak and Shake) in the parking lot of a shopping center. You order at the counter. I was trying to order from a section of the menu which I guess could be a sandwich or a platter. The difference wasn't clearly stated, nor were prices. I asked the cashier and she basically said the platter just didn't include bread. I didn't want to hold the line up so didn't ask many questions. Since I'm gluten free I just went with scrambled eggs with cheddar and some turkey sausage. Not sure if pricing was pure item or what, but the price was reasonable. Decent size-- three scrambled eggs with generous cheese -- and I did like the turkey sausage. Overall a quick spot to grab breakfast with friends.

    Avocado toast

Food sucked, prices are insanely high, the manager guy running the register was a total clueless jerk. I ordered avocado toast with an egg on it for like $10 (one single slice of bread for $10 btw) it comes out to the table and I can't even see the toast underneath what looks like 2 entire avocados just slapped on top of an untoasted slice of sourdough, I try to take a bite to see if it's good, but I literally am just eating avocado and nothing else. Absolutely disgusting. I go up to the desk and ask for a refund, he says "we don't do refunds, but I can remake it for you?" I say no because at this point I don't want to eat another avocado for a week. I also say there's just too much avocado on it, and rather than apologizing or offering a real solution, he tells me to scrape off the avocado. I work hard every single day to earn the money I make, and I expect to spend it on things that are worth it. Maybe you could fix your pricing if you decided to not waste about 3 avocados per "toast" slice. This place is garbage. It genuinely feels like there are no more good restaurants in the Raleigh area

For a coffee that's close by, this was wonderful! I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. For lunch, I got the fight club sandwich add avocado. Maple bacon spread + Mayo was divine. It was HUGE too. For a side I tried the Asian coleslaw and it was pretty good. Very peanuty. Service and staff were kind

I really enjoyed New World Cafe the few times I've been in the area! I love their seasonal flavors - particularly their Maple Spice latte in the fall. It was so smooth and flavorful. The cafe itself was a small space, but had a few seats and couches inside. Their breakfast sandwiches were also delicious. I'd definitely recommend stopping by for some coffee and snacks!

Bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with avocado, lettuce and tomato.

I used to stop by here a lot when I was local. Then I moved. My wife recently "discovered" this cafe/coffee shop and insisted we stop by. Coffee was very good, service friendly and helpful, and the breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, cheese, avocado, lettuce and tomato with a very good aioli was fabulous. See photo. We lucked out that it was Thanksgiving weekend and surprisingly quiet. Very good.

My husband has been here without me a few times, but due to my 9-5 job I hadn't had a chance to visit. That changed this past week when I took a half day and went to their new spot by the Duraleigh Library. 10 out of 10 ! My turkey sandwich was fantastic, the spread they added was amazing. My husband had a lovely salad as well. HIGHLY recommend and now I want to go back for breakfast.

Family had Norwegian pancakes! So good the and favorite for both children was peanut butter and chocolate. Number 2 was Nutella and bananas.

    two cups of cappuccino

Exquisite coffee drinks in a fresh, new and inviting space. Their cappuccinos are the penultimate happy start to a morning. And now much easier parking, though I'm eager to use the drive-thru to pickup my online order on the way to work.

Croissant sandwich with flat white coffee

I love coming to this place. The food is good quality, the service is always lovely, and the restaurant is well maintained. And of course the coffee is the best!

A Macaroons avocado toast and a water

We worded a few thing and it turned out to be $30.00. The food was ok but it was huge and it was $16.00 for 1 pease of avocado toast. The vibe was good every one was nice but there was no uniform.

Just wanted to take the time to clap for the staff here…read more I've only been here twice now. But both times the service was SO fast. I came here on a week day and it was packed but the kitchen seemed steady. Their service is very stream lined with pagers for food orders. There is a lot of seating but it also seems to be a place where a good chunk of people come to work. They have a library inside as well and the books at the time were all $3 ea. Today I came and it's a Sunday. As expected they were SLAMMED. Line to the door of people waiting and line to the door of people ordering. I still got my coffee in less than 5 min. People waiting on food were getting theirs in similar time. The staff was killing it! They have a large selection of baked goods (lots of laminated dough), fast casual breakfast & lunch, and a huge coffee menu. They also have gluten free options for food and about a dozen gf/df baked goods. They said they have separate prep space and changed gloves for gluten free food but it's a shared oven. I didn't have any issues though. To who ever is managing your kitchen and staff, you're doing a great job. To the staff, hats off Highly recommend this place for a light breakfast and good coffee, or just a good place to hang out on your laptop.

I was a little disappointed that the coffee didn't wake me up, really. I don't drink it very often so I thought I'd be wired after drinking a medium. For lunch I ORDERED the chicken salad sandwich and a bag of the kettle chips. I asked specific questions about the chicken salad (was going to order turkey & cheese if didn't love the answers). I asked if the chicken was shredded or diced & the answer was shredded. I asked if it was basic chicken salad or did it have a twist? Was told it was basic, no raisins or anything. Great! Moved forward. The sandwich was decent enough to eat but tasted like chickpeas more than anything else. I was very annoyed that I wasn't informed there were chickpeas after asking questions but was so freaking hungry, I just ate it. I was very unsatisfied but didn't have the funds to order more food. 9 hours later I'm writing this review and noticed they have a chickpea salad sandwich. They must have accidently given me the wrong sandwich. Ughhhh. The vibe is Cafe meets bookstore. It's cute. There were quite a few people working on their laptops and also moms with young kids. There's great options for outdoor seating. Parking lot is free. Those who work there are friendly.

Helpful service in a nicely decorated small cafe, a nice stop for getting a morning going. The Deets: Deciding to venture out a bit to try some place new, I found Morning Ritual on the trusty Yelp app and headed off to there. It is joined along side The Goat restaurant on the edge of an apartment complex campus near Brier Creek. I like the look of the building and while noticing there is outside seating available, there is a convenient take out window on the side as well. I went inside and liked the warm, inviting but still slightly modern look of the cafe style seating and ordering area. There are a couple of seats within range of a power outlet and there is WiFi but note it is public/no password/unsecured access, it appears. Their menu shows a good array of beverages and eats to satisfy those morning needs. I decided on a 16 oz hot skim latte to drink to enjoy there and then ordered the Egg + Cheese Scramble which has Monterey Jack and Cheddar and served with one of their biscuits. You order and pay at the register/counter then they give you a table number to take to your seat. My beverage came in well enough time to enjoy while I waited on my food order. My latte was so good that I had no need for additions such as sweetener or syrups and I like the mug with it to enjoy in house. Food came in good time as well, looking pretty tempting. The toasted biscuit was good and I liked it but a tad small bit sweet for a Southern type biscuit (the type that I'm used to/grown up with enjoying). The scramble was really great...I usually do not favor getting cheese in my scrambled eggs but everything was delicious here and perfect texture as well as portion on the eggs themselves in a small cafe setting. There's always that challenge in a new coffee shop/cafe in figuring out their used dishes protocol/station but loved that my server saw me searching and happily took my dishes at the counter for me. When the girl came from morning ritual She brought out my husbands, hot cappuccino but my mocha out iced and I immediately said I don't drink cold coffee and I did an order iced. Instead of being apologetic, and stating that she would change it, she just snatched the iced coffee and walked away. That was such a strange encounter. It was rude and I got no apology, nor did I get any explanation of what would happen next. I let my server know to ensure I was still going to get a coffee because I can't live without my coffee in the morning! When my Moca loved her honey, oat milk, coffee came I took a sip and was glad i didn't flip out and say "forget the coffee" (as I was already done with breakfast by the time in arrived) because the drink was delicious! If I'm ever back in the area (I was staying in Raleigh but decided to take a little detour into Durham that morning) I'll come to only Morning Ritual to see if I can change this 3 star review for service issues into a 5. For now they need to work on getting coffee service to The Goat streamlined!
