WE currently eat at New York prime a couple of times a week An our opinion it is the most consistent restaurant in South Florida. It offers the most amazing food ambience and our service is second to none. We have our own waitress that we met since going to the restaurant, her name is Tiffany. She is phenomenal first and foremost. She reminds us of Marissa Tomei her ability to know what you want when you want it and how you want it is uncanny. She is on top of her game and absolutely the best weight staff we have ever had anyone that has the opportunity to come in contact with her will agree immediately so not only do you get the most amazing food in the best atmosphere you get an amazing server who knows her job and is happy doing it read more

One of my favorite places to eat NY strip (the other place, for reference is Capital Grille). Stopped in late for a 9:30 pm reservation and was welcomed like it was 7 pm. Besides the perfectly cooked NY strip, we had the walnut and blue cheese salad, and charred brussels with dinner (lacked salt but it was in the table so I added my own). Best part of dinner, though, was our server Ivan. He was great company and served us like we were family! Great smile and conversation! Ivan turned a great dinner fabulous! read more

2.5 Stars for this place. Came in on a Saturday night. Like other reviews say, it is dark, it is VERY LOUD inside. You cannot hold a conversation. Our server was polite, but never came back to check on our food if it was to our liking. That was strange being that this is supposed to be an up-scale steak house. Tables are way too close to each other. My chair got bumped into several times by patrons and servers. The food was ok to somewhat good. They charred the steak too much on the outside, not our preference. Cheesy Mash potatoes were good. Thought it was also strange to see a Boca police officer hanging out in the parking lot and also inside by the entrance. Probably scouting for a DUI suspect. My wife & I split the porterhouse it was good but not the best we have had. It was prepared correctly & the filet side was better than the strip side. Had a great time at NY Prime in Boca Raton. Starting at the door, they are all kind and helpful and make you feel like they truly care. Matt was our waiter and had the perfect balance of attentiveness. I shared the tomahawk-a 40oz chop perfectly seasoned. Caesar salad had tasty dressing and the cheesy potatoes were broiled, crispy on top, with creamy hot potatoes underneath. Warm cookie at the end was thick and perfectly chocolatey and served with smooth vanilla ice cream. We eat outside everywhere unlike other locals so it was not as lively as inside which had live music but they had piped music. As well all was clean and tidy. Absolutely INCREDIBLE as always! This is by far the best steakhouse in all of South Florida. For appetizers we had the lump crab, baked shrimp and bacon, and all were amazing. Chopped wedge salad was a hit, and everyone was drooling over the Tomahawk & Porterhouse. For sides, the alfredo & spinach paired perfectly! Everyone's drinks were amazing, the Barreled old fashioned and the espresso martinis were . Even on a Thursday night the place was busy, lively and the music was great! Came here for date night with the boyfriend on a Friday night. We made reservations early in the day to secure a spot for the night. As soon as you enter the restaurant they do a temperature check and staff is wearing face masks for Covid safety. We ordered oyster Rockefeller and crab cake for appetizers, they were fresh and delicious. I love the cream sauce the crab cake came with, very tasty. My boyfriend ordered a center cut filet steak and I ordered sea bass, both were so delicious as well. We ordered sides : creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms and a loaded baked potato, all were delicious! I ordered my usual Amaretto sour drink and it was excellent as well! Only CON: a little after we were sat down at our table, the restaurant started to get PACKED! There was an increase of people traffic walking through the restaurant. Their was a big party sat in the table behind us, one of the guests was literally about 3 feet behind me. All tables were close with people eating, small and big parties. I felt very uncomfortable, as we are in this Covid pandemic! One of the guest at the table behind us started *COUGHING* loudly, I immediately got up and switched chairs to be further away. I felt uncomfortable and disappointed that there was no social distancing going on at all! Very upsetting when we had the idea of going for a nice Friday night cozy dinner, thinking this restaurant would follow social distancing guidelines like every other restaurant we have gone to in this pandemic. At this point, we ate our dinner and we're ready to go so we could get out of there. Don't like to hurry through dinner and drinks! This is why I took off a star! This was our first time visit this restaurant and wowza! What a hidden gem this place is! Everything about it is outstanding. The ambiance has a very grown and sexy vibe to it. The service was white glove from the moment you walk in the door. The food options were plenty and the taste of the food was phenomenal. I dare say this was the best steak I've ever had. I will say it is a bit pricey, so I'd probably only return for special occasions. We had two cocktails each cocktails, an appetizer, two salads, two steaks and two side dishes, which was the loaded baked potato and Brussel sprouts. Everything was excellent. If I could give it more stars I would because Carlos was awesome. I don't have pics (huge shocker if you know me) except for one of the interior and the complimentary birthday dessert. The restarant has a great atmosphere chill vibe. The entire staff was super friendly. We started with the 4 piece baked shrimp which was nice with a garlicky sauce that we sopped up with the yummy bread. Next came caesar salads which was cold, crispy, and the perfect amount of dressing. Anchovies are offered but we did not partake. Then the mains...we had center cut filets and a bone in ribeye all perfectly cooked and tender. For our sides we ordered the cheesy mashed potatoes, steak fries, sautéed mushrooms, and baked potato. All were piping hot and yummy. We had an issue with the steak fries but they were removed from the bill. We were too full for dessert but Carlos knew it was my son's birthday and he brought out a warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream to celebrate. While in the Boca/Deerfield area, we decided to dine at New York Prime on a friend's recommendation. We had the shrimp cocktail, baked shrimp, filet, bone-in ribeye & sautéed spinach. The steaks were cooked to perfection & so flavorful. We finished the dinner off with melt in your mouth butter cake served with vanilla ice cream & fresh berries. The service was superb. Johnny G. Went for dinner on a Friday night with 12 people to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday. We ordered shrimp for the table.it was dry and small. The chopped salad had no taste. We had porterhouse for two , I shared with my husband, and it was almost inedible. We could not slice it nor chew it Very disappointing. We've been dining here for over 25 years. We came here for a birthday dinner and we knew just what we wanted. Lobster, oysters Rockefeller, and Baked Shrimp Scampi. Everything was even better than we hoped. The oysters were from New England and huge and sweet. The spinach and cheese topping was just perfect. The shrimp were huge too and the sauce tasted so good mopped with the crusty bread in the basket. There were two other breads that were sliced super thin and toasted. One had raisins and tasted so good with my chilled Sancerre. The lobster was so juicy and expertly cooked filled with bread crumbs and lump crabmeat. Stanley, our server was the BEST, and took the shells off for us. No way could we finish it! Although we were so stuffed from all we ate, when Stanley brought us a warm jumbo chocolate chip cookie cake with a scoop of vanilla and a candle, we had no choice but to eat it. NY Prime is expensive but so we'll worth it. We can't wait to go back and we will request Stanley to serve us. read more

I'm writing a review for being a first timer, and sadly, not impressed. My petite New York strip a la Oscar left a lot to be desired. I ordered it medium rare. It just wasn't flavorful. I had a mouthful of fat at every bite. Now I KNOW a New York strip is fatty, that's what makes it more flavorful, usually but not here. No flavor, just fat. And the Oscar? Well, the crab meat was good, but the sauce was nothing...again no flavor. I ordered the small Caesar...again, disappointing. The food relative to the price was a two star. I gave it 3 stars for the service, both at the valet and at the table. I'd like to try it again, because I know I've seen some great reviews. I guess I could have sent it back, but what would I say..."too fatty, no flavor, more hollandaise on the Oscar" ? We've been coming here about 3-4x per year since the early 1990s. Tonight, my petit filet was fatty and had a strange texture to it. I would have sent it back but another person at our table had the same impression. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch of meat or if its part of a new strategy to substitute cheaper meats. Either way, it is unacceptable for a steak house with NYP's reputation and prices. We might try again in the future and if it's better, I'll update my review. read more

Awesome restaurant! I liked majority of my experience. The downside to my experience was that it was very crowded when we visited and WAY too loud near the bar area. I'm not sure why the music was at that volume, but I did not like it. People near the bar were not respecting social distancing at all!!! There was a lady who rolled up right next to me and my date as if she was with us. Smh. I'm happy they accommodated us with moving our table from the bar side. Once we moved to the other side of the restaurant everything was cool. The waiters were nice and helpful. Even offered to take pics for us. Food was pretty good. GREATEST STEAKS IN ALL OF BOCA! I made a reservation at this restaurant for my 31st birthday and let me tell you, it was everything I hoped, for and more! When I arrived, my car was taken by an incredibly nice valet crew who off the bat gave me a great vibe to begin the night. I checked in with the nice hostess at the front and headed to the bar for some drinks and pictures while our table was being prepared. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night, but still it was a breeze to get my drinks at the bar and was seated shortly thereafter. Antonio was my server and he was the greatest, he was warm & welcoming, and very professional, very knowledgeable on everything related to the menu and the area. I ordered a dirty martini and my girlfriend the strawberry basil martini, and we loved our drinks! This has been the best dirty martini that I have ever drank in my life up to this point. We ordered the oysters on the half-shell appetizer and they were delicious! Very fresh and very nice presentation. For our main course, my girlfriend ordered the petite filet mignon, which was absolutely hands-down delicious! And I went ahead and ordered the sliced edge of prime ribeye, which was very exquisite. Both of our steaks had a nice char on the outside, and were incredibly tender and hot and just the way we like to cooked on the inside as I am aware that that is what this place is known for, consistent service. It's very true! For our sides, we ordered the cheese mashed potatoes, which were very delicious, nice cheesy hardshell at the top and we ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, which, in my girlfriends opinion, has been the greatest fettuccine Alfredo she has ever had in her life. Needless to say, Antonio brought me a surprise birthday dessert with a little candle, lit on top,, and made the night that much more special. Probably the worst steak I have ever had. I've never eaten cat food, but I imagine this is what the consistency of it is -- mushy. It was tasteless, as well. Drowning it in steak sauce was the only thing that helped...kinda. Was with my family, and I did not want to upset them by complaining. But now I regret I did not do so. The sides were pedestrian. The wedge salad was okay, but certainly not great. Don't waste your money. I wish I had gone to Cheesecake Factory and just had the spicy cashew chicken. To top it off, the waiter lost my charge card. Luckily, we found it...on the floor. But the attitude was like...oh, sorry. I don't want a gift card to return. Topped the waiter $80 on the $400 check. This was our first visit to New York Prime, and our reservation was on Christmas Day, 2021 at 3:45 pm. Accompanying me was my wife, daughter, and 94 year old Dad. We were seated immediately, and we very pleased that it was under one of the Palm trees in the center of the room, making for some memorable photos, and right in the midst of a nice buzz in the room , Our server, can't recall his name, was very professional, and attentive. The drinks were perfect, not weak, yet not too strong as well. Not sure if the reason our dinner took so long to arrive was because it was Christmas, or short staffing, but our main dishes did not arrive at the table until approximately 70-75 minutes after we were seated. Is this a normal wait time? It seemed excessive to me. I won't go into each person's dish, just suffice to say, everyone considered theirs done to perfection. The price, which I won't quibble about was substantial, as expected, and so I have no problem with that. If there is a reason I did not give New York Prime in Boca Raton 5 stars, it is because of 2 reasons: 1. As stated above, waiting 70-75 minutes for our main dish to be served , and 2. The table adjacent to us was allowed to have a "gentleman", probably in his late 30s/early 40s , seated with a sleeveless teeshirt, and a baseball cap , not only ON, throughout his dinner, but turned BACKWARDS. Now, I understand in these times of political correctness and not wanting to offend anyone, but that doesn't mean an establishment such as this cannot make it known that this attire and will not be allowed inside the restaurant. There is nothing wrong with establishing a dtess code. Just because one has the money to dine at a fine establishment like this, does NOT give him the right to dress as he sees fit. So, in summation, the restaurant's food, staff, decor , and ambience were worth the price, however, waiting 70-75 minutes for the main meal, and allowing a guest to dress however he wants is not acceptable. Welcome back to 1964 (with 2023 prices). A classic steakhouse for those wishing a very upscale experience of fancy cocktails. Pittsburgh grilled steaks, potatoes and even some fish items. Not my cup of tea. I tried for a lighter Red Fish (menu said lightly fried) but it was, of course, deep fried in a heavy coating of breadcrumbs. Now, nothing has any real flavor, it is truly a throwback to 1964. Potatoes are tasteless, as are the vegetables which sit very uncomfortably next to these unnecessarily large entrees (except for my fish). This is the food my grandparents ate at steakhouses in a time now long forgotten (largely for health reasons) in the preCrestor days. Staff is formal and competent (a bit stuffy for me) and they demand that you use a ridiculous valet service when you can simply walk 20 ft. to your car. Prices are incredibly high (even for 2023). If you have big money to drop on vein closing and tasteless meat and potatoes, welcome home. read more

Hands-down this is my favorite steakhouse. I enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant just as much as the food. They have a keyboard player who plays 70s music and everyone joins in and sings. You can also request a song. Boca people watching at its finest. I always start off w the shrimp cocktail & always get the New York strip steak. It's my favorite. The hash brown potatoes are a must! You can sit anywhere by the bar for a lively Saturday night. But it's also kind of hard to carry a conversation so you can always get a quieter table in the side room or in the back. This is one of the best steakhouses in Boca. It's not as flashy as Ruth's Chris or Morton's, but this quaint spot has great service, and great food. The decor kinda reminds me of The Hollywood Brown Derby (either the real one or the one at Disney World). The food is fresh, and portions are huge. Our server was Vinny and he was super.
