Had lunch here for the first time and it was very tasty. I ordered their half club with no mayo and potato soup. The sandwich was very tasty, crusty bread; flavorful meat; fresh lettuce and tomato and a great honey mustard. The potato soup was good but not as thick as I'm used to. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. They have a well stocked condiment bar. I like that they have a sink outside of the restrooms as well as in. I saw many people order pizza and my gosh they looked amazing. Cannot wait to go back again and try a pizza. read more

I used to go to this Newk's location quite often, and it was great. The past 2 times I have been here the food quality has been awful. The sandwich I got had almost no turkey on it and the avocado was bruised and mushy. For the price, which is high compared to similar places in the area, they really need to have better quality food and attention to detail. read more

Newk's is new restaurant chain to Denver with 2 locations currently.This review is for the Lone Tree location. I have visited 7 times in the last 2 weeks and can honestly say I have not been disappointed yet. Each visit I have tried something new off the extensive menu of soup, salads, sandwichs, and pizzas. All of the food is fresh made to order in the open kitchen. The restaurant is both sit-down or carry out and they also offer pre-made grab and go. When you walk in, you order at the counter up front, then grab a seat, and the food is brought to your table. They have a gourmet roundtable where you can grab condiments as well as breadsticks, jalepenos,and sweet pickles. The restaurant is fairly large and open, and not excessively loud when full. Very family-friendly and comfortable with a combination of booths and open tables. Now for the food...it is great!!! The sandwiches are on fresh breads, French and multi-grain type, toasted. So far the Grilled Steak sandwich is my favorite, but there are over a dozen to choose from. Same number of pizza and salad choices, and 4 different soups each day. Loved the Black and Bleu steak salad and Cobb salad. The pizzas are all served individual sized and cooked to order. The also do half/half combinations. Pricing is in line with other fast casual restaurants, but the value is so much greater at Newk's. I could go on and on, but ultimately you should just try it for yourself and become a believer. read more

So this place has become beyond SLOW. 4 other tables and waiting excessively for our food. The tables are filthy. We have been here over 20 minutes waiting. The tables around us haven't been bussed the entire time we have been here. While some of the staff walk around aimlessly. Filthy and slow best describes this place. Food finally arrives and my soup is cold. Our daughters cheese pizza had pepperoni on it so back it went. Staff walk by the filthy tables empty handed. They cant bother to grab the empty plates. What we really need in HR/Lone Tree is more chain restaurants, said no one ever. But Newk's gets it right every time, and they're one chain I've been wishing for since we moved to Denver 4 years ago. It's so nice to have a place for grab and go food that's actually freshly made and good. The service has been outstanding so far; they seem to have done a bang-up job training their new employees who are helpful and knowledgeable to a fault. As far as dining with kids, breadsticks and pickles keep mine thoroughly happy until the actual food arrives, the staff is gracious and has twice now grabbed a high chair before I can, and the menu (sandwiches, mac & cheese, pizza, with a side of fresh good fruit -- not just questionable melon and grapes) can't be beat for little ones who have realized they control very little except for what they eat, and wield that small slice of power like they're defending the iron throne. Portions on soup and salad are large, and sandwiches and pizza are definitely filling but not unreasonable. The veggie pizza is as good as I remember, as are the chicken salad and pimiento cheese, and the shrimp & avocado salad was a little overdressed but otherwise so fresh and tasty I didn't care. This restaurant just opened a couple of weeks ago so may need some time to work out the kinks! I signed up for their "club" and received an email coupon for $5 off on 2 entrees. What wasn't clear on the email coupon was that you had to purchase 2 beverages at $2.49 each so there goes your $5.00!!! The menu at the front is confusing and a definite line holder and definitely needs some work! The point of sale people need more training in moving things along and knowing how to work the register and answer customer questions! It is a nice place though and food is good even though it isn't cheap or big servings! The catering manager Tina is very personable and doing a good job! Waste of money! My $9+ would have been better spent at Qdoba, Garbanzos, Panera or any other eatery in the vicinity. Not only did I wait 10+ minutes for a half sandwich & salad, the quality of the food for the price was horrible. The portions were significantly less than what you would receive at any of the local eateries mentioned above. My "balsamic salad dressing" was literally just oil with seasonings in it. No vinegar! My "simply salad" was simply boring. My sandwich was all bread and had sat there for a while therefore was less than warm. To top it all off, after waiting 10 minutes for my to-go order, I sat down at a park to eat it and was given spoons for my meal instead of a fork. Ate my oily salad with my hands. In the 30 minutes we've been here, there are at least 8 dirty tables that haven't been bussed.
