I love going to Next Door for a night out. Their food is top notch, fresh ingredients and all cooked and prepared to perfection. The service was great, and staff were friendly. I always made a Reservation online before showing up and never had an issue. The most recent time I went, I made a reservation about 1 hour before showing up. They were very accommodating. The place is dimly lit and has "fun night out" vibes. They have an outdoor seating area as well if you want to enjoy the fresh LA air. At nights, the indoor space is booming with loud and fun music. 5 Stars all around. Came in for dinner with my girlfriend and can't express the hospitality from this place! From the ambiance to the service was beyond amazing. To start; the drinks we ordered were on point and it set the night off right. Going into the food portion of the night took it to a whole different level. This place is on the pricier side, but it definitely has its own unique charm. Service was very very good and the dishes that we ordered were enjoyable, particularly the steak. The price point is quite high. Getting a reservation can be tricky and they do require a credit card to hold the reservation which is not a practice. I am very fond of. Tasteless food horrible service and the worst they confuse everyone with their name thats its deliberate plagiarism of an excellent French restaurant that has been around for 20 years call Little Door which confused everyone. We had friends supposed to join us that they went to little door, then when we call for a ride our cars also mistakenly went to little door. Its just beyond me how needy and uncreative ppl can be to try to mame a new restaurant as close as possible to a well known place to confuse everyone. Last night was my first visit to Next Door and I am going to share my personal experience. 1. Ease of Booking - Could not be easier with Open Table (just make sure to pick Table instead of Bar - Unless you want bar seating) we booked bar seating by mistake and the above and beyond nature of the staff was amazing and hospitable. They shuffled things around and got to work and we were seating about 20 minutes later - Our mistake that they fixed! 2. Environment - Very nice, good music, good vibes and great energy 3. Menu - Its new so their are not tons of options but of the options available, they are made with love and I can honestly say some of the best kosher food I can recall as of late! 4. Great portion sizes, prompt service, flawless flavor 5. Service - Unreal on the amazing scale they really make you feel special and I was very impressed. 6. Had the most wonderful dinner here last night with my partner. Neither of us are kosher but had fun trying kosher food! Every dish we ordered was perfectly prepared and flavorful. Highlights were the cocktails, stuffed cabbage, wagyu hamburger, and malabi dessert but we also tried the green salad, Moroccan cigars, roast beef carpaccio, rib eye steak, and chocolate mousse and everything was excellent. I found this place on OpenTable and took a risk because there were no food pictures posted....so glad I took a chance!! The food and drinks were Amaze-balls! I started off with the Spicy Mango Margarita which...OMG...so good. It was the perfect mix of sweet spicy and tangy. I also got the kale and miso salad first. It was crunch salty and just all together yummy. The bartender suggested the sesame bagel with tahini and tomato salsa. Such a wonder suggestion! Now, I was not a fan of the tomato salsa...it was basically chopped up tomatoes with a splash of olive oil. But the bagel....oh..you have to get it! Finally we ordered the branzino and it was definitely the star of the show! It was tender and juicy but not in a weird way. I've been to Next Door twice now, and they NEVER disappoint. Such a beautiful restaurant, with delicious food and attentive servers and staff. Noam served me last night and wowed my party. He was very attuned to our needs, patient, and helpful if we had an issue. Birthdays and other simchot are best celebrated here, no doubts about it. The outdoor seating is lovely and the interior is beautiful. The arayes special is a must order. My only constructive criticism is there should be bread pieces at the handwashing station so people can wash before the start of a meal. I ordered salad, sushi, and arayes, which came in said order, but I would have preferred to wash at the start instead of before the arayes once bread was brought to the table. Another thing to note is if it is Thursday night (i.e. DJ night), you won't be able to converse because the music is so loud. read more

Went to celebrate my brother's birthday. Waitress said cowboy ribeye streak 32 oz is enough for 4 people, so we ordered it based off of what she said. Waited so long for the food. When the food finally came, it was barely enough for 1. We finished the food in less than 5 minutes, and it cost us $180. When they asked us how the food was, we said honestly it wasn't enough. We thought the 32 oz would be more filling for the 4 of us (as they had told us). We felt cheated. The waitress brought the manager, and he offered two desserts as compensation instead of bringing actual food. At the end, manager only brought one dessert which didn't even taste good. Instead of listening to my perspective and trying to come up with a good solution, he accused us of wanting free food. Wish we had taken photos of the steak.
