That's not bad at all for plant based meal for 2 ! Okay so we ordered a crispy chicken sandwich (it had mayo pickles & lettuce ), the chili cheese dog which was topped with green onions & was absolutely Amazing ! Super filling, and worth the try. Great workers very personable with great recs. They even inform u of what you're eating especially if you have no idea what it's all about. I got the signature burger which is a house made Umami mushroom and quinoa patty with sliced avocado, Swiss and roasted garlic thyme mayo with tots fried in sunflower oil with special sauce which has grilled onions melted cheddar style cheese and spesh sauce. I really couldn't tell the difference. It tasted like a gourmet burger. This location is half an hour away but totally worth the drive. My nephew who is a carnivore couldn't tell the difference. He enjoyed it as well. The produce is organic and fresh. The patties were juicy and tender. My sister had to ask twice if there's any meat in the burger. It was so delicious. Stopped by on a Wednesday evening around 8:30pm. There as a short line which moved fairly quickly until the guy in front of me ("can I see the burger before I order it?" + other dumb, time-wasting questions). I grabbed a SoCal burger with sweet potato fries (they were out of crinkle cut =( so sad) and an apple ginger lemonade. My burger didn't come with cheese but I was pleased to find out that they don't use nut-based cheeses or other ingredients (except in the ice cream station and the mushroom patty has some form of nut but I can't remember what). Helpful for us allergic folk! My burger was yummy - a little on the small side and definitely felt plant based. It was the quinoa chia patty so I knew it would be healthier and less like a meat replacement but if you are going for that real meat feel, steer clear of this one. The bacon is otherworldly amazing - I can eat an entire sandwich made out of it. The sweet potato fries were good but I'd much rather have the regular. I think I found my new favorite drink with the ginger lemonade. So refreshing! There are lots of different patties and even hot dogs so I'm excited to go back and try other options. The biggest reason for the lack of one star is the price - $18 for a small burger, fries, and a drink. read more

I was impressed with the quality and taste of the food and actually enjoyed eating something different. Decided to give them another try. I ordered the Cobb salad again with grilled onions and ranch. They forgot the ranch... by the time I got to my hotel and went to eat it, it was too late to do anything about that so yay a salad with no dressing. I also ordered a small coffee shake with whipped cream. The shake was soooo tiny. It looked about 12 ounces and was I'm sure $7 or more with the whipped cream added. It also kinda sucked that for such a small shake, they don't give a dome lid for the whipped cream [that I probably paid for]. Instead, they skip out on a portion of the shake [I paid a lot for] to accommodate for the whipped cream and used a flat lid. All together I wasted $21 for a salad with no dressing and a tiny child size shake with whipped cream spewing out all over the lid. Lesson learned. read more

Horrible service by the manager, the employee on the register was extremely kind while trying to purchase my order, the card scanner would not accept my payment and it kept saying declined even though there was several hundred dollars in my account, the manager came over and insisted we stop trying and said there is nothing they can do, I went over to Whole Foods and immediately made a purchase with no issue on the card scanner and came back to show her there was no issue with my card and I insisted we try another scanner and she said there is nothing we can do, she made no effort at all to assist me and my wife with making an order. There was the option of using the self pay kiosk but she insisted nothing could be done, will never eat here again. read more

This place is amazing! I am not a vegan eater, but I have been wanting to try it more as regular burgers and fries make me feel pretty gross after I eat it. I ordered the classic chz burger and crinkle cut fries. The burger was delicious and if you didn't tell me it was vegan, I would've never known. The fries were amazing and I will definitely have to try them with some of their toppings next time. I loved being able to get some cheese on my burgers as I'm lactose intolerant but missed that great taste! I will definitely be back again to try their other items. read more

Came here for the first time tonight to try their milkshake! There were lots of options, but tonight I chose the mint chocolate chip milkshake. They give you the options of having it soy based or coconut based. Now, I'm not one with soy stuff but I tried it soy based and it actually was amazing. I really loved the taste of it. However, I got a small sized one and it was $5.98 which I thought was a hit proxy for the size of the shake. This was a great shake and it can be healthier than other milkshakes. Found this place by accident. We tried it and it was ok. We loved the tater tots and sweet potato fries. The service from ordering to being served was awesome and quick. Don't be intimidated by the lines, they move fast and very friendly too. I got the signature burger and husband and kid got the classic I think. I liked the taste of my burger but didn't like how it literally fell apart as I was eating it. My husband and daughter didn't care for the burgers at all. They love eating meaty burgers and this one was not to their taste buds. I may have to come back and try another burger but it was an ok experience. read more

Tater tots in Concord? Yes please. This burger joint have me a chance to check out the new strip mall in the hood and sink my teeth into a juicy burger. Low and behold, the burger was dry and lacked flavor. Oh but wait. Maybe the bacon I added would make up for what was missing in the party. At least the tater tots were good. The place is attached to Whole Foods and is quite small. There is outside seating though. Good for on the run vegan eating. It tastes exactly like one you can purchase from Costco and prepare on your own using the Beyond Burger patties but again, it's for convenience and not many places serve vegan burgers and keep the grill isolated from meat sources. Had a really good burger here, tasted awesome, hot and fresh to order. I will say I am sad to see that the 45 minutes I was there I was the only one ordering and eating there. Service was excellent, food was hot and well put together, the store was clean and the employees friendly. I don't go into Concord often so its hard to say when I will be back, but when in Concord I will most defiantly stop in again. I've been vegan 20+ years - and still lean towards "comfort foods" as my fave - burgers, hot dogs, pizza, milkshakes etc. So, I'm a bit discerning in expecting good veggie burgers! I was very impressed with Next Level. Most places just have a single patty, and their menu just changes the condiments. They have a slew of different patties, different vegan cheeses, and lots of options. Even their french fries can come prepared 5 different ways. Tater Tots? Literally some of the best I've ever had! And their shakes were great. They gave me some samples of a few, and their cookies-and-cream was great. I can't wait for them to open more locations - especially closer to Oakland. 3.5 stars. Burgers and service was great! Fries, the shake and lemonade were okay. We got the super sauce burger with chedder and all american burger with swiss. We also got chili cheese fries with crinkle fries, a vanilla coconut based shake, and a ginger apple lemonade drink. Crinkle cut fries ($3.50 bc organic) had no flavor, there was literally such a thin layer of chili ($3 extra too), and they use Daiya. The shake was okay, but it's really just ice cream and milk so cant judge too much. It tasted like the vanilla Luna and Larry's coconut ice cream (yummmmm). Ginger apple lemonade was okay, I would like more ginger and lemon flavor! Overall I love this vegan concept (I'm vegan btw.. 2.5+ years). Also the Whole Foods Market is super modern and clean here! My absolute favorite place to get a plant based 'cheat' meal. They have an extensive menu as well as alternating specials. Their signature burger is my favorite so far but I intend to work my way through every burger on their menu. Somehow I always have room to order one of their amazing milkshakes, which are well worth the calories. I've never had vegan food, let alone heard of this place. When I got to the register with my orders in mind the clerk welcomed me and explained the food was 100% plant based. I hesitated on weather to continue with my order or find a new place. Felt at that point I was already there let's see what this is all about. I ordered The Animal, The Mexicali, kids Chikn tenders, Shroom fries, Cobb salad and a cookies and cream smoothie. All in all I have to say there wasn't anything I didnt like.
