My first time ever coming here was on 9/28/24 and I ordered two bulgogi sandwiches, two cokes, a Vietnamese coffee, egg rolls which were all really great and honestly far better than I expected! This place is highly talked about in OC and upon checking it out, all the boxes were checked off! HOWEVER, I also ordered the cajun garlic fries with bugolgi meat. Friendly staff. Clean space. It's small inside but has a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. There is one single stall bathroom. They have a parking lot, but it's very small. Love the late hours. Depending on when you go, it can get pretty busy. For those who are sensitive to noise, avoid the later hours (especially when a nearby event is going on), since it can get loud then. Otherwise, it's a pretty relaxed environment. Water and utensils are self-serve. The food is great! The Grilled Pork Sandwich is a must-try - one of the best banh mi in the area in my opinion (if only just because of how good the meat is and how much they pile on!). The noodles are very flavorful but can be hit-and-miss with how salty they are. The rice bowls are always good - it's the meat that makes them shine. One of the worst and most disgusting dining experiences I've ever had. We just left and I feel disgusted after my boyfriend told me he saw a worker prop his feet up on the kitchen prepping table. We got with my family and all the tables and chairs were dirty with food and tables were all sticky. It took a few minutes of me trying to get someone's attention (we were the only ones in there ready to order) to get someone to clean the tables. A very rude gu came out with hot liquid in a water pitcher and proceeded to pour it directly onto the tables and wiped it down with a wet rag (which only moved the liquid around and didn't absorb anything). After saving our table for last, he left with the water still on the table and at this point it has dripped down all over the chairs that I had to go grab a bunch of paper towels to wipe our table and chairs so my family could sit. He then came back with a broom and started using the same broom they use in floors to brush off the chairs that I just cleaned! The tables were still sticky and at that point our food was done and we didn't feel comfortable even eating it but just dropped over $200 collectively on so we ate. We asked for a high chair for the baby and went to grab it ourselves and had to use 6 wipes to clean the high chair (which was also sticky and left all 6 wipes dark gray after using) The food was mediocre that none of us finished and after we cleaned up after ourselves and was preparing to leave, the same rude server yelled from the kitchen for us to put the high chair back. There were only three visible employees working and all three seemed to really hate their job and clearly do not want to be there. The owner really needs to pull cameras and look at how their employees are running their business. If the owner is reading this, pull the cameras for Sunday, September 1st at 2:30 as evidence of disgusting experience. Had my bf told me about seeing feet on cooking services, I wouldn't have eaten a thing but he was too nice and didn't want to make a scene. read more

My favorite midnight spot to hit with friends! Their food always hits you in the right spot late at night. The crawfish pasta is sooo spectacular. The pasta sauce is thin, creamy, and buttery. They give you lots of sausages and crawfish that pairs very well with the sauce. There is a spicy green sauce on the side that you could use as a dipping or mix it with the pasta. I recommend adding half of it into the dish if you want a kick and can't handle spice well. Parking is super limited, especially at night when it gets busy. I love how this place is a late night eats kinda deal. We came here after a long, rainy day at Disneyland. My boyfriend and I weren't too hungry, so we shared a crawfish pasta. After visiting the new spot in South Gate today I realized I never left a review at my favorite location which is this one in Orange! They have indoor and outdoor seating, like the Chino Hills location. I ordered the garlic noodles with light oil, chicken thigh, and a fried egg. The chicken thigh is more on the savory side than the chicken breast. The egg was crispy on the edges and runny in the middle. The noodles were perfect, full of garlic and light on the oil. The green sauce on the side is so delicious. It has a nice kick. Get two containers if you like spicy. The container is enough for two servings. If you're in the mood for a big meal, add the bulgolgi and shrimp on the noodles in addition to the fried egg and chicken thigh. This location was busy, but I had my food in under twenty minutes. I popped in for a snack pre noon and really enjoyed the beef slider duo topped with freshly sautéed mushrooms and onions. It's even better if you add a drip of the sweet umami mustard onto the sliders as you eat. The onions were crisp yet caramelized, and the sauced mushrooms lent the beef patty a luxurious richness, for a great price at a mere $7.95! It's basically like getting about 3/4 of a regular sized burger, or like one burger from Umami Burger. Adding fries would complete this meal for most people, but for me I wasn't incredibly hungry so this alone was enough. Would definitely come back again for this. OUTDOOR SEATING: Nguyen's Kitchen has a generous parking lot but a rather small outdoor seating. The currebt outdoor seating area is extremely skinny but it has it's own wooden raised deck and an effort at a tall planter border that makes it feel a good step up from the typical plastic chairs thrown down in the parking lot. It is marred only by its proximity to the noise of the busy and loud traffic of every doctor/nurse/specialist/whatever from the neighboring hospitals revving their sports cars up and down Main Street. Otherwise it's quite nice for what it is. However: only from morning thru about 1pm, the sun will be in a position to offer some shade from the existing overhang, but if you come at any other later time of day, this uncovered, unshaded outdoor seating will surely deep fry you via that Southern California sun. Bring a hat! If you have more than two people in your party and you want the outdoors, because they have only two seats here, you got no options other than to try to shove these extra chairs into the one table, or to take everyone to get deep fried by the sun on the OTHER side of the establishment where it is shared by a place called Pur Bowls. Outside, they have two powder coated steel wire round tables that you could conceivably squish your party into, but if you come at high noon lunch the sun will also be in position to crisp you to death. read more

The garlic noodles were delicious, and we practically ate the whole dish in one sitting. The grilled pork noodles, on the other hand, was missing...something. The sauce on the side didn't completely coat all the noodles leaving some bites flavorless, but the pork was delicious. I eventually just ended up picking off the meat. Service was fine. They didn't seem to be very welcoming, to be honest, but maybe it's because they're tired from the long shift? I recently went here (usually a stop for me when I'm in the OC area) and I accidentally left my jacket.
