Came here first and didn't even realize it's connected to PUR Bowls--dangerous (in the best way) because I couldn't say no to dessert after. I ordered the garlic noodle protein bowl with jumbo shrimp, and wow... the aroma alone sold me. Super flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. I got it to go, but it smelled so good I was tempted to dig in right there. Ordering was quick and easy at the register, and my food was ready in about 5-10 minutes. Fast, efficient, and still high quality. Perfect setup for grabbing dinner and then sliding next door for dessert. This is definitely going to be a regular stop for me.
Good fried chicken and garlic shrimp noodles with Parmesan cheese and special sauce. Nice clean environment inside and outside here. Restroom is nice and clean too. Service is almost like self service because you pick up your food order as they call your number here. Mainly takeout orders for Togo as they are next to hospital. Parking is limited on both sides and no drive through here. A beautiful place for lunch on Saturday by the hospital. Definitely worth the drive here. Price wise it's reasonable and full savory flavors and salty taste buds good with beer for sure. Enjoy the sunshine today.
The night was dark and the hunger was grumbling and this place was open to save the day! The place was packed and the staff was friendly I got a good amount of knowledgeable details on what's good and what can be a fav later on into the days of eating there. I have gotten a bun mi sandwich that seems to be made with love and goodness I would have asked one to go however it really is something best eating while fresh so I held back on ordering more but I will next time.
When we arrived, we were able to find parking with what limited parking they have. It was around 8:30 pm. Luckily it wasn't busy when we arrived. Upon entering, we notice that it's two establishments and you can easily go to one or the other. The staff happily welcomed us after seeing us. Looking at the menu, everything seemed to peak my interest and prices were relatively affordable compared to other restaurants. We ordered the Crawfish Pasta, Popcorn Chicken, House Marinated Chicken Sandwich, and Cajun Garlic Fries. When ordering, they offered free Parmesan cheese either on top or in the side. They had drink options, and I went with a fountain drink. Crawfish Pasta: Loved that it had crawfish. It tasted pretty good. I do wish they cut up the cilantro smaller length. Overall, still a flavorful dish. House Marinated Chicken Sandwich: Honestly, I didn't expect it to be this big. Luckily we were sharing food. The marinated chicken was packed with flavor and super soft and not dry. As a veggie lover, I loved that it had pickled carrots and daikon radish. Again, would have preferred the cilantro to be cut up a little more. Bread was so soft and fluffy. The green looking sauce that each dish and sides had was also really good. All in all, sandwich was really good. Cajun Garlic Fries: For almost $6, this was quite a lot of fries. There are many places that charge $6 and you don't get that many. Fries were crispy, just enough saltiness and flavor. I really liked the fries, although I didn't notice too much of the garlic flavor. I still enjoyed the fries, especially with that sauce on the side. Popcorn Chicken: The chicken was very soft and moist, and tasted pretty good also. I love the seasoning. However, it wasn't a lot when I compared it to the amount of fries we got. But it's worth a try. I do wish they added more chicken. It was quiet at the beginning and by 10 pm, a lot of people came. It became more lively. When we left, there were a bit of cars emergency lighting. Can't blame them. Food was pretty good. I'd definitely come back.
Placed an order through phone for a grilled pork sandwich and the grilled pork garlic noodles. I just want to say that I got upset my bf ordered the sandwich. When I took a bite, I wanted to switch entrees. The pickled carrots adds such a great flavor to it, watering-mouth type of flavor. Food was ready at the time they estimated and even included a spicy sauce on the side. It's a cute spot with some outside seats.
Nice Vietnamese/Asian Fusion restaurant where you can quickly pick up food, especially if you're visiting the hospitals nearby. * Crawfish Pasta 5/5 - This was like a Cajun seafood pasta with crawfish and sausages. It was really good. * Grilled Pork Bowl 5/5 - The grilled pork was good. Love that they included a sunny-side-up egg on top, plus healthy veggies in the bowl. * Thai Tea 5/5 - Drink with delicious sweetness that spread quickly on your tongue the moment you take a sip.
A long day at Disneyland and we didn't stop anywhere before we got back to our hotel so we dashed NK - and WOW!! We ordered chicken wings, popcorn chicken, and the pork noodles, and it was perfection! Everything came quick and looked just like the photos on the menu. You know what you're getting which is important, but even better, it tasted incredible! The portions were generous as well, my husband and I shared. Another important fact, it was kid friendly because my 2.5 yo almost ate all the grilled pork! He loved it too! Disneyland is always fun, and we're going another day. The first thing my husband and I said this morning, "well, we know what we can eat tonight!" Such a win!!
Quick, casual and affordable. This spot has cozy booths for dine in, but not optimal for large groups. My kids split a garlic noodle with chicken. Noodles were great, but some of chicken pieces were burnt. Husband got the chicken sandwich which her really enjoyed. I got the salad with chicken and my only complaint was that it was that I'd had too much garlic cream sauce. Overall service was friendly and would return.
I tried this place because it had a ton of favorable reviews and had been on my "mega try" list for a while. Okay, I'm here, now as Yelpies can relate to, the toughest decision of the day...what do I order? I was solo, so no sharing my top 2. I had to pick one. I literally stood there awkwardly staring at the overhead menu and anxiously staring over my shoulder for people behind me. I was craving something full of flavor, so I went with the cashier's favorite -- the grilled pork bowl. BINGO. Tender teriyaki pork pieces, perfect soft rice, the grilled jalapeño sauce (hands down must do), and crisp cucumber slices and carrot shavings that balanced everything perfectly. Not heavy, super favorable, Just bomb. I came in craving real flavor, and this hit exactly right. Super fresh, super tasty and the food was genuinely delicious -- worthy of the hype. Walking out I spied on other tables choices, Bulgogi fries, some fried chicken pieces - yum! I'm coming back, the only question is when....tomorrow? And what do I try next? Bonus points: the woman cooking had a big, warm smile when I chatted with her -- you could tell she genuinely enjoys making great food, and that energy comes through in the bowl.
After arriving in Anaheim California from Las Vegas on a Wednesday evening around 9:30 P.M. for the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon, my husband and I looked for restaurants open in the area. There weren't many restaurants open that late, but Nguyen's Kitchen was and it was only a mile away from our hotel! When we arrived there, it was very busy. The parking lot was difficult to maneuver around, but luckily we were able to back our vehicle into a parking spot. The restaurant space has two restaurants, but Nguyen's Kitchen entrance is off to the left. Nguyen's Kitchen is a Vietnamese restaurant. There are several locations in Southern California, but the one we went to was in Anaheim. The menu offers a wide range of dishes from noodle bowls, rice bowls, signature sandwiches, sides like popcorn chicken, slider burgers, and so much more! I was really excited to try out the Bulgogi Steak Garlic noodle dish. My husband got the Bulgogi Short Rib Steak Sandwich which included cucumber, pickled carrots, daikon, cilantro and a side sauce. The order was ready in about 10 minutes! It was super fast! I haven't had garlic noodles like this in a long time. It was so flavorful! The beef bulgogi was super tender and there was so much bulgogi in the dish! There was just the perfect amount of garlic in the noodles. The restaurant hours are typically open from 9:00 A.M to 2:30 A.M (next day). On the weekends, it does open a bit later in the morning. The service is fast! The seating is limited inside, but when we had arrived around 10:00 P.M, there were a few seats available inside. The food is great here! If you're visiting Anaheim California and looking for an alternative place to the theme park restaurants, you should try out Nguyen's Kitchen. The service is wonderful and the food is fantastic!
Delicious spot but be warned very garlicky! I got the garlic noodles with pork and it was just what I needed. A bit on the oily side and a bit heavy since it doesn't have veggies. But always hits the spot. Highly recommend it They have their own parking spot and is also connected to a açaí bowl right next door
TASTY FUSION STREET FOOD: Don't expect classic Vietnamese dishes here. Their best selling dish is the Crawfish Pasta which is very tasty. Their second most popular dish is garlic noodles with your choice of protein (try Bulgogi meat or pork meat). All their dishes come with a side of their green garlicky sauce. I recommend asking for an additional green sauce for their garlic noodles dish but wouldn't use it with the Crawfish Pasta which has a different flavor profile (although it comes with the sauce). This green sauce is certainly one of the things bringing customers back to this place. It has unique flavor and pairs with many of their foods. The drinks are good. Try their peach tea, milk tea, and Thai tea. All 3 are solid recipes. It is a lively hopping place with mostly young clientele who are looking for interesting, flavorful, upscale fast food. The dining area is very basic and minimal similar to a fast food joint. The #1 criticism I have is the portion sizes of the pasta were pretty small considering the price. Not cheap street food. But they deliver on the flavors and originality of their cuisine. read more

Love that it's open until 1am since there are barely any options open for a late night bite. The people who work here are super friendly, and ambiance is a grab and go type of spot. Super solid spot for quality Vietnamese food very late at night. I got the popcorn chicken and grilled pork noodles and my brother got the crawfish pasta. Crawfish pasta - Very creamy and had a huge amount of flavor. Crawfish tends to be somewhat fishy but the crawfish used in this pasta did not smell that way at all! Grilled pork noodles - Super delicious, the portion for this is gigantic and the fish sauce just ties all the flavors together from each component in this dish. Everything from the cucumbers, to the noodles, to the grilled pork and carrots was spot on. The grilled pork was okay, but provided a solid protein choice to top this dish off. I also added an egg to top it off and it was delicious! Popcorn chicken - The popcorn chicken here is okay. My brother noticed that it was slightly over cooked because the chicken didn't taste as tender or juicy as he thought it would, but not bad nonetheless. This place is definitely worth coming to if you're craving late night Vietnamese food. read more

I would say that this place is delicious, however it is very heavy. I ordered the pork with garlic noodles and I was able to only eat half! I like how the garlic comes separately with the noodles so you can add the amount of garlic that you would like. Thai tea was alright- portion was a bit small and it was a bit too sweet. Few places catch my heart when it comes to stellar pasta but Nguyen's Kitchen truly deserves a visit if you want some serious fusion cuisine. A friend of mine recommended the crawfish pasta and at first glance I thought there'd be no way that a restaurant like this could possibly make something worth seeming five stars but I figured I'd try it out as I trusted my fellow Yelper. The online order charges a convenience fee of $1.50 but if you call in your order you do not have to pay. The crawfish pasta was around $15 and also comes with a side of this garlic mixed paste that is definitely worth loading into your pasta. Upon receiving the dish, it certainly smelled delicious but it looked relatively subpar. Boy was I completely wrong the moment I had my first bite. The sausage, crawfish, and noodles were drowning in buttery garlic goodness and I could barely take my hands off of the thing long enough to write this review! I've heard about Nguyen's kitchen for a while so I was excited to finally try it! I came on a Thursday around 11pm and I was surprised by how packed it was; I can't imagine how busy it is during the day. The restaurant itself does have some seats but is on the smaller end and I can imagine it would be difficult finding a place to sit and eat inside during a peak hour. You can see into the kitchen from the seating area and I was able to see that they were making everyone's food to order so it's fresh, so that's definitely nice. The menu consists of Vietnamese fusion dishes and has sandwiches, noodles, rice bowls, drinks, alongside a few other things. I ordered a bulgogi short rib sandwich which is a fusion between Korean bulgogi and Vietnamese banh mi. This sandwich was really delicious, I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The meat is marinated perfectly and is nice and soft and the bread was slightly crunchy and soft at the same time. I also liked the meat to bread to veggies ratio in the sandwich. They give a green sauce that comes with the sandwich and it has a spicy and garlicky flavor but it elevates the sandwich to a different level! My only gripe about the sandwich is that it's expensive for what it is and you can get banh mi sandwiches elsewhere for significantly cheaper. Service here is good and the employees are friendly. It is open until 2:30am every day so it's a solid option for a late night meal. There is a small parking lot here but it was crowded when I went and hard to find a spot; some people started parking in places that weren't parking spots in the lot because of this. Service is quick at this counter order fast food joint. It's refreshing to try an Asian place like this - I wish there were more of these types of joints. Food was disappointing. The garlic noodles were unfortunately not as good as they look. The garlic tastes like the minced jarred stuff, with crumbly over cooked noodles. The sauce itself is overpowering. Nguyen's Kitchen is a Vietnamese fusion restaurant with a unique twist on traditional dishes. The food is a bit expensive but the delicious flavors make up for it. This restaurant location is a kind of small but many people order to-go anyways. That is what I did at least. I ordered the bulgogi short rib steak sandwich for lunch. The sandwich was normal sized but I was pleased that they put a lot of short rib in my sandwich - this is a great choice for meat lovers! I also appreciated the sauce and fried egg. The presentation was pleasant and the bread did not get soggy despite being in the to-go container with juicy meat. I don't believe I would ever sit at this restaurant but I probably would order to-go and pick up if I was nearby again. Glad to see that they are opening up new locations. read more

Small parking lot, tight seating area. but it doesn't matter. What Nguyen's Kitchen is doing right, is the food and value. When you look at the menu pricing, it is almost like the inflation never happened. and the food, it is also BANG ON. I ordered the grilled pork noodle and my GF ordered the garlic noodle. The easy way to describe these 2 entrees are that...they are Vietnamese inspired Asian American food, They arent exactly authentic Vietnamese dished but it uses alot of the cooking and ingredients. For the pricing and what it offer, it is doing good. I hope that it adds on a bit more for flavors. a tab more surprising seasoning and that will totally bring this to a 5 stars. read more

I decided to give Nguyen's kitchen a try because I was looking for a quick bite and was able to order for pickup on door dash. ~ Garlic noodles with pork: 4/5 The garlic noodles were good, I liked the pork a lot. ~ Bulgogi short rib sandwich: 3/5 The fusion kind of threw me off, I didn't taste any pate or Vietnamese mayo. Ordered: Garlic Noodles with Bulgogi Steak, NK Wings, Thai Tea After a long day at Disneyland/California Adventure and you're tired of all the food they serve in there, Nguyen's Kitchen is the place to hit. I got the garlic noodles with bulgogi and their NK wings. The noodles are served with a side of their house special green sauce and the wings are drizzled in the same sauce with an extra side of the green sauce and some sort of soy sauce. The garlic noodles are very flavorful, not dry, and with the perfect amount of seasoning. Dip the bulgogi in the green sauce and get some garlic noodles and you have the perfect bite. But do be careful because the sauce is addicting and spicy!! Wings were your normal crispy wings, it was their sauce that made it good. Last but not least, their Thai tea is so good!! Yes, it is a basic drink, but it matches perfectly with the greasy noodles and wings!! Come try if you can!! read more

small little restaurant where you order at the front and you pick it up on the side once it's ready. i came around 530pm on a friday and there was no wait at all and the food came out in about 5 minutes. food ratings: -garlic noodle (3.5/5) - added the tiger shrimp for an additional charge. the shrimp aren't that big, but i feel like this type of dish needs some type of protein. the noodles were nice/chewy and flavorful. i didn't really like the green sauce that comes on the side, it's a bit sweet/strange. -popcorn chicken (2/5) - definitely not flavorful or seasoned enough. the chicken pieces are also broken up a bit too small for my liking. i also got the spiciest level, and it tasted like it was just mild. -peach & lychee iced tea (4/5) - not bad, tastes like your typical iced tea read more

Good for a late night snack. Sauce that the food comes with is really good. Small little restaurant that opens late. Bulgogi Cajun fries -needs more meat. Fries are okay. Sauce is really good though. Sliders -comes with no cheese. Has mushrooms meat and some sweet sauce that might be teriyaki? Good Crawfish pasta -noodles, crawfish, and sausages . Wouldn't be my first choice for Vietnamese food. While the pork flavor was good. They don't give you much of it. They give you a hand full of lettuce and butter cucumber to go with your rice and pork. Anyone who enjoys Vietnamese food knows that the fish sauce (nguoc mum) is a must. If you don't like spicy then this place won't work for you cuz they only offer the fish sauce with chili. So my child had to eat his meal without the much loved sauce. Hmmmmmm I have mixed emotions about this place. They're open until 2:30 AM. Late night but spot for sure. There was a consistent line out the door but it moved quickly. Tables to dine-in. We were a party of 9... we got lucky and scored the big table inside... Ordered food. Waited about 25 minutes for our food. I was excited because it smelled delish when you walked through that door, and I was thinking --- Dayamn it must be good since there's people here after midnight! Ordered Garlic noodles with bulgolgi rib, shrimp, and NY Chicken wings. I'm sad to say the hype wasn't real - I wasn't impressed with the garlic noodles or the bulgolgi ribs - the flavor didn't impress. Chicken wings was amaze. Had the right crunch. Shrimp was good but nothing stellar. My cousin got the Bahn Mi sandwich - it was spicy AF so beware. Definitely worth a try. Not sure if I'd crave it tho. OMG, I could eat a whole bowl of their shrimp!! The flavor that is in every bite is like heaven. They are perfectly cooked and seasoned. It will for sure be what I order the next time we come to eat here. The garlic noodles were safe I say it a little too garlicky for me. And I'm a girl that will eat my fill of garlicky foods enough to keep the vampires away for days. Can't put my finger on it, maybe the chunks of garlic in it. I don't know, but wouldn't get them again. The fries at our neighbors table looked yummy, so maybe some shrimp and fries the next round. The parking lot is small, so my suggestion don't go during peak meal hours or you may have to park across the street and walk. Oh and unless you are a super spicy fan, the sauce will probably burn your mouth off and over power your dish. read more

I have been coming to Nguyen Kitchen for quite some time, food is very good. Few weeks ago I came on Saturday evening, place was fairly empty, but every table was super dirty, there was none to choose from so I had to clean one myself. There was a lot of papers, napkins and other dirt on the floor as well, while several employees were standing around and doing nothing. I got a water cup while waiting for my food and I squirted some lemonade into it for taste and got yelled by the lady cooking food, that it wasn't acceptable, which put a bitter taste about this place in my mouth. Employees should care and make sure the place is spotless and clean, not monitoring few drops of soda in a water cup. Next time I am in mood for garlic noodles I reconsider where to go. read more

WOWWW!!! Nguyens Kitchen is a go to whether it's lunch time or a tasty late night dinner!! The place itself is always super clean equipped with such sweet and amazing workers. The veggies are crunchy and fresh, the rice is pillowy and soft, the bulgogi is packed with so much flavor and neatly cooked! Not to mention they also have the BEST thai tea I've ever had!!!! Curiosity got the best of me as I kept seeing this restaurant show up on my recommendation feed. Had such high hopes for a new late night restaurant, but was just disappointed. Location had a very small limited parking lot, which made things a bit difficult, but eventually was able to find a spot. Staff seemed really happy, so this gave me hope that what I was about to eat was going to be delicious. I wanted to love this place so much since everything on the menu sounded delicious and definitely in my realm of favorite types of food! I ordered some garlic noodles with prawns, and my partner ordered the sliders. His sliders were full of mushrooms and onion, which meant there was barely any meat! Moving onto the noodles I ordered.. okay so I had many issues with this dish. It was so oily, salty and it was just covered in raw garlic. It already had a strong garlic taste, so adding the raw garlic chunks everywhere just made this impossible to eat. The prawns were the best part of the dish. I am so disappointed because this location is open late and I genuinely thought it was about to be the new late night craving spot! Additional $2.50 for a fried egg, a little too much for an egg eh? Anyway, fries were suuuper good and crispy! It's made to order and always fresh! Garlic Noodles w/ Jumbo Tiger Shrimp | Hands down the best garlic noodles we've ever had!!! It's loaded with garlic! Even each shrimp has extra garlic on top! The good, they are open late. That's probably it. Service at the counter was horrible. The cashier/order taker should either greet people when they are ready to order or smile. No facial expression. Everything we ordered was great except for the egg rolls. They were perfectly fried but the filling did not have the texture and seasoning I prefer in a Vietnamese egg roll. Standouts for me were the Cajun Garlic Fries with added Bulgogi and a fried egg, the popcorn chicken, and pork banh mi. The pork was perfectly grilled and seasoned. Will definitely try the pork rice bowl next time. My four year old loved the garlic noodles and popcorn chicken. Prices were also very reasonable for the amount of the portions. read more

It looked like 3 small tables with seating for 2 per each table. It's on the side of the building where you first drive in to park from the main st. side and it did have shade from the building roof but it was not fully covered. July 3, 2023

The noodle dish portions are fat, not small by any means. The crawfish pasta specifically has a lot of meat between the crawfish and sausage.

Noodles contain eggs as an ingredient. Consider that. Isn't there a menu you can look up on this page? Or just wanted to point out the lack of vegetarian options? I think there was one item with no meat in there.
