This is the best pho I have had around here and I live amongst all the ones in San Gabriel/Alhambra that are supposed to be better. So good!! I came here for the first time to try the DineLA menu special. I chose the bun bo hue (spicy beef soup), crab and pork eggrolls, and passion fruit tea. A great casual place for pho with very quick service. A lot of people were here with friends or meeting with family. The food was all very delicious. I will say the bun bo hue was not very spicy even after I added all of the chili paste and I am usually only able to handle medium spice. I could have asked for more but it was fine because the flavor of the broth was so good as it was. Don't forget to add a little hoisin sauce, sriracha, and lime of course! The eggrolls were crispy and the crab and pork flavors didn't overpower each other. The sauce added a nice tartness. The passion fruit tea was sweet and flavorful, it is house-made. 05/16/26 Saturday Stopped by around 2 PM and it was quite empty so they allowed us (4) to be seated while we waited for another friend to join us. Upon entering, it felt a lot more modern and hipster than the Nha Trang in San Gabriel which feels more like a hole in the wall place. I had just gone to the Nha Trang in San Gabriel the weekend before so it was quite the shock to see all the items $2 higher. The Bun Bo Hue here doesn't include the blood cake for free like the one in San Gabriel. Instead, it costs $1.50 extra. However, they offer unlimited noodle refills here but you can't take any of it home. Do note veggie refills cost extra too. The noodles here are thicker than that in San Gabriel. They were chewy. I would say the broth seems more salty and a little less flavorful, maybe because I didn't add the chili sauce on the side. I do like that they put it on the side since I don't handle spice well. The highlight Tom Hoa Tien (shrimp and taro egg rolls). They were so crispy and fresh. The shrimp paired really well with the creamy taro. The sauce was a nice touch too though it tastes great without as well. Service was good, but I would've preferred if they offered some more napkins. Also, it was unclear if we could take home the soup (with some leftover noodles) if we got noodle refills without being charged since they mentioned we'd be charged if we take it home. In the end, we ate all the noodles just to be safe. Street parking is limited in the area. We parked in a nearby paid parking structure (Play House Parking). The food here is always super tasty and portion sizes are generous! There is plenty of well-spaced seating, and the service is casual and always friendly. Not to mention the A/C was blowing just cool enough, too! My only comment on the pho is that it could have come out a "little" hotter temperature-wise. She of course ordered the BBH. I got a pho. The pho here was better than the BBH. My mom didn't really enjoy it. She said the pig feet wasn't that fresh. The pork blood was also not good. She didn't finish. Had prob half left. My bowl of pho was great. I actually was able to share it. We were both full. The pho was not super authentic, but it was good enough. Finally a solid Vietnamese spot in Pasadena! The interior was bright and spacious. As a bun Bo hue lover, I thought nha Trang's version was solid in flavor and quite satisfying. The pork hock was cut off the bone for ease of eating, but I was a bit sad the blood sausage and rice paddy herbs were missing. Parking: they have an immediate parking lot near them but just park at the schoolhouse garage for $1 for 90 mins. It's a 5 min walk. After having Nha Trang a couple times I've come to appreciate the quality of their pho and rice. Service was okay, it was probably the weakest part, but it was by no means bad. Restaurant is clean and well spaced. The pho tai is delicious. For broth it's one of the better ones I've had where I didn't have to add much to get it to where I want it. The quality of the beef is noticeable if you've been to other restaurants. For the price you are definitely getting a really good bowl of pho and it's my favorite spot in pasadena. I wish they had the thick noodles as an option but it's okay. The unlimited passion fruit was really great, but I drank it quickly and it took some time for the servers to notice and I've had to flag for refills a couple times. I probably came here 5 times since discovering this spot 2 months ago driving from LA for the rich broth and good meat quality. The older lady which I assume is the owner is always in a bad mood, like she's being forced to work there. The restaurant itself is nice and the taste consistency has been great until last night. The broth was lukewarm and tasted like MSG. The meat was very tough today and they were skimping on giving cilantro when I asked. I was at utter shock when they brought it out, it was literally meant for not even one person. I'm not sure if last night was a bad day for them or if they started compromising on quality but they need to step it up. Like other location, I think the Bun Bo Hue is the best on the menu. Pho is clean and great for a cold day. The bun is a bit of a mix bag for me because while the filet mignon is tasty, the nuoc mam is a bit bland for our taste. This is usually an easy go-to option for lunch for us if we're in the area. If you're comparing prices with the rest of 626, it is higher, but definitely normal for Pasadena. read more

Quick service and tasty food! This is my first time having pho so I got the pho ga (chicken noodle with beef broth I think). It was really good and filling. They came to refill the waters multiple times and accommodated our small but loud group. Parking was pretty easy among the side streets and garages, all paid parking from what I saw. The menu is minimal and straight to the point. They offer pho, noodle salads, traditional Vietnamese appetizers and drinks. We decided on trying the Bun Bo Hue soup. It's priced at $16.99. We had never tried this dish before and we were throughly satisfied. Their BBH soup was flavorful and not too spicy. The broth was savory and aromatic. Was in the mood for soup and was surprised to see Nha Trang location in Pasadena. I've had their food at another location before, so i was familiar with it. What i wasn't familiar with, were the prices. lol I mean, it's not that I didn't see the prices before hand, but for just two bowls of noodles , came out to 50$ after tip. To me, that is a bit inflated. Food tasted fine but I wouldn't be rush to come back or ever. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the heart of Pasadena. I was craving pho, saw the reviews, and wanted to try it for myself--and was pleasantly delighted. Both the pho dac biet and bun bo hue (one of their speciality) taste authentic and delicious. The broth is light but flavorful, and the portion size is just right for me. I was actually able to finish the bowl and feel satisfied afterwards. The meat in the pho wasn't particularly memorable, but the soup made up for it. Had their crab and pork eggrolls, their bun bo hue soup, and passion fruit tea. The passion fruit tea was refreshing on a 98 degree day. Compared to pho, bun bo hue is a richer, spicier broth with nice beef, pork, lemongrass flavor. Add in the herbs that they give on the side for some extra bumps of flavor. My friend went with their pho and he really enjoyed it. I also ordered their nem nuong spring roll and I like that it was full of herbs and they had a little bit of the fried egg roll wrapper on the inside for a textural crunch. I think the value of their dine LA menu was unmatched and, overall, I feel that Nha Trang is a good option for Vietnamese food. Something to note: if you dine in and end up getting a refill of noodles, that voids your chance of taking any leftovers home. As you walk in the location is very well lit. Very bright lights and I love that. When I asked where to sit the lady waitress said anywhere so we walked toward a table by the wall. My husband was about to sit but noticed that the chair was dirty. He walked up and said he would be using the restroom. I was in the meantime browsing the menu. The prices were a little steep but I know nowadays what isn't right. So I kept looking at the menu. When the hubby came back he said he was not feeling it and said we should just go. He mentioned that the men's restroom smelled too much like urine. And with the seat being dirty he just didn't want to try it anymore. I wax a bit disappointed because I did want to try it. My girlfriend and I were craving some delicious Pho on a cold winter night and stopped in to discover the amazing Nha Trang culinary delight. We were welcomed by a friendly woman, whom we later found out was the owner, in a very light, bright spacious interior decorated for the holidays. When we entered around 6pm, there were about four people inside. Once we sat and looked over the menu, the place slowly filled up with 15-20 more patrons. The menu is straight forward and full of Vietnamese classics. On this occasion, my girl went with the Pho Ga (Chicken Noodle with Beef Soup), while I went with the Pho Bo Vien (Meatball Beef Noodle Soup). We also ordered a three-piece starter, the Cha Gio Cua (Pork and Crab Egg Rolls). For drinks, we kept it simple with water and hot black tea. As the restaurant quickly filled to near capacity, we noticed other employees, some of which were family, jump in to assist the rush. Our egg rolls were delivered within 10 minutes of ordering and came out very hot and very fresh. We had to wait several minutes for the temperature to go down, or else risking a visit to the ER with upper mouth skin burns. Once I was able to nibble a small amount and confirm a manageable temperature, we were met with an outstanding egg roll. Great outer crunch, crispy, with the inside ingredients totally delicious and without any kind of sogginess. The accompanying sweet and sour was also quite yummy, not too sweet, with a slight amount of heat. A few minutes later, two very large bowls were delivered to our table. The presentation was amazing, very large bowls of noodles, perfectly seasoned broth, and all of the traditional vegetable additions featured in any Vietnamese restaurant. My girlfriend said her soup was quite delicious. As far as my Pho Bo Vien goes, it was outstanding. The meatballs were tender and delicious and the noodles were amazing! Also, little pro tip - you can ask for free refills on noodles while you dine in! Pace your noodle and broth ratio, however, as there is no refills on the broth. A free refill on noodles is a definite perk on top of very reasonable prices. Overall, Nha Trang is a great Pho spot in Downtown Pasadena.
