Here in SoCal for work and this dim sum spot did not disappoint. I am native Chinese and lives SF Bay Area, so my standards are pretty high. Even though they are just getting ready to open, the staff was super friendly and I was greeted right away. The interior was nice and clean. It's always humorous to speak to them in Cantonese and they respond in English. Then I started ordering in Cantonese and the staff realized we fam haha! The lady server here was super friendly, she was the only one serving all the tables but had a great smile on her. Food quality is really good, not very expensive for California and the quality of food was great. Their congee was the right thickness and the portion isn't so big that it was overwhelming. Didn't need to add more salt, flavor was on point. The siu mai was big and you get 4! Elsewhere you usually only get 3 for bigger ones. Their siu mai has shrimp just FYI for non shell fish eaters. Taro cake was fried well, crispy but not too much. Flavor was great with a little bit of hot sauce/soy sauce combo Beef rice rolls, they were really good but I wish they use the sweeter soy sauce, good nonetheless. Came here at around 11am, right before the afternoon lunch rush and was seated right away. The inside was narrow with two rows of tables. Was around Pasadena and wanted Dim Sum at the last minute. It was the right choice to come here. There is a paper to fill out the order. The food was delicious. The service may be slow but the server was very much tentative. My family and I shop at the next door Ralph's all the time, and we finally ventured in this restaurant to fulfill a dim-sum craving. Here's what we ordered between the two of us and it was more than enough food: - Har gow - very tasty with generous shrimp. Loved the fresh flavors. Will recommend! - steamed bbq pork buns - could have a bit more filling and a bit bread-y in my opinion but still tasty - pork & shrimp siu mai - much bigger than I expected, great flavors and juicy. - Thai fried rice - I don't usually like pineapple in my food, but the combination of raisin/curry/pineapple worked really well together. Found this gem a while back and was glad to have another dim sum place in the area. The interior is narrow but spacious. The staff is friendly and very kid friendly. Good dim sum place that serves dim sum at later hours than other local dim sum places If you're craving dim sum late afternoon or early evening, this is a definite option My main complaint with what I ordered is that the sauce is already mixed in with the shrimp rice noodle. I would have preferred if the sauce was on the side, so you can control how much sauce to add to your taste. The highlight was the service - extremely attentive and sweet! And the dim sum was so good too-- everythinf we got was as good as (if not better than) versions we've had in the past: 1) BBQ pork buns (not pictured) - the softest yet not soggy buns I've ever had 2) turnip cakes - more savory and cris than I've ever had, with a nice surprise of Chinese sausage bits inside 3) fried tofu- perfectly crispy with a nice dipping sauce 4) shanghai soup dumplings- homey taste with a nice chewy wrapper, served atop Napa cabbage 5) shiu mai (not pictured) - hefty size, filled generously with pork and shrimp 6) chow mein - flavorful (will have to try the chow feng next time) 7) sesame balls - perfectly crispy on the outside and steaming on the inside, not too greasy at all! First time. I was not disappointed. Very good service and very tasty food. I had the lunch special which included choice of soup. I took the hot and sour which was probably some of the best I've had. I guess they are catering to their audience. We ordered pad thai, beef and broccoli, fried rice, and panang curry and they were all good just sweeter than you would usually expect at traditional places. Plenty of parking. We had Pork siomai, Porridge with century egg, steamed dumplings, chicken feet, Kung Pao chicken (lunch meal), pork bun, steamed "something" - all for only 2- we were hungry, yes. We had to gos afterward. From these orders that we had- I can say that KUNGPAO CHICKEN and pork siomai are the best. Eeeeeverything taste good, but if I will come back here these two will be present on the table again. The place, I can say is a little high-end compared to other Chinese restaurants that serve the same dish- it's decent and good for dates and group. A friend was *craving* coming here so we came for dinner. I love shrimp fried rice and theirs was delicious!!! She had something way more adventurous and loved it. Their spring rolls were really yummy as well. This place in in an open mall area and is probably hard to miss if you don't live in the area, which is kind of a shame. The restaurant is located in the plaza with Ralph's, Jamba Juice, Peet's. Large parking lot. Easy to find parking. They have indoor seating. We didn't have to wait. They have high chairs for the kids and even plates and utensils for kids which was impressive. Once seated you get menus for their dim sum and their regular entrees. In our on going search to find a decent Chinese restaurant to replace the recently closed New Moon restaurant in San Marino we thought we would give this place a try. We were attracted by the fact that they had egg foo young and moo shu pork, chicken etc. we thought we would go for it. Unfortunately this didn't turn out to be the place. We could tell once we saw the menu in person and it included Pad Thai and spaghetti with meat sauce. We should have headed for the door as soon as we saw that. Those are two things that don't belong on a Chinese menu, but we stayed anyway and rolled the dice. Mistake..... The moo shu was a victim of the same thing that Yang Chow has and that is they pre wrap them, which I Hate! Strike one. On the egg foo young the smothered them with so much sauce that they were soggy instead of bringing the sauce separately and leaving the pancakes dry like New Moon used to. Strike two. And then the dumplings we ordered were brought without a top lid so before we could finish eating them they were cold. And that is strike three. And so the search continues......... read more

Friendly service and delicious food, there's not much more to ask for. We ordered the chicken feet, chicken bun, shu mai, pork spare ribs, and sticky rice with meat. The older lady & young gentleman are kind, patient, love how they treat you like a family member ! But the young lady wouldn't let us watch tv while waiting for our take our , noone else in the restaurant at the time . She is rude & is making me change my mind about coming here! This is the 3 rd time in a encounter with her! ! My two friends also dont like her attitude . She told us to wait outside on a cold day even though thier were chairs to sit .
