README Food: The skewers are outstanding, flavorful, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Atmosphere: Cozy and inviting with an authentic feel. It is clearly a local favorite among the Chinese community which speaks to its authenticity. Service: Attentive and friendly staff. Ordering is quick and convenient through your phone, making the experience smooth and easy. Overall: A hidden gem that deserves more recognition. Great food, fair prices, and a warm atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back. I would've added more photos but I ate like half the skewers before taking these photos.

We were looking for a Chinese skewers place in the sgv area and found this place with decent reviews. The inside is tiny but clean. We ordered their lamb and beef skewers, cold noodles, mixed veggie salad, eggplant, malatang, and chicken cartilage skewers. I liked their lamb skewers and the mixed veggie salad the most. The beef skewers had a weird after taste I'm not sure if it's from the frozen meat? Malatang is average as well. Also, they don't have alcohol.

Service was great and lamb skewers were very delicious. Inside of the restaurant is very clean. The atmosphere reminds me my hometown- Shenyang city. My family of 4 including my daughters really enjoyed everything that we ordered tonight. Highly recommend it! 羊肉串非常好吃,可以看出用的是新鲜的肉。餐馆内部也很干净,服务生姐姐也非常勤快给我们加水。音乐,氛围还有东北客人的唠嗑声,这一切让我想起了我的故乡-沈阳。

We had an exceptional experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious! We were impressed and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

We ended up getting a set for $168 this time, which came with 6 dishes. It's also $35 per lb for lobster, and I asked for the smallest one. Apparently, the smallest one was 4.8 lbs, which was another $168, so I'm not sure if they upsold me. Anyways, the food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. This is what I thought about the food we got. House Seafood Soup - Simple and clean soup. Good portion, and it was soothing to eat. Lots of squid. (4/5) Clams with Spicy Sauce - Large clams with tons of meat, and the sauce was fire. Always a good choice. (5/5) Crab with Salt & Pepper - Loved the seasoning, and the flavors were solid. (4.5/5) Thai Style Beef Stew - First time trying this, and it was good. A bit different, but the meat chunks were tasty and the overall flavors were good. (4/5) Sautéed Pea Sprouts - Nicely done vegetable dish. It's simple but refreshing with good flavors. (4/5) Fried Whole Fish - This dish was gone so fast because it was delicious. Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe. (5/5) Service was good, and they didn't automatically add a mandatory tip for a large party. The total came out to around $364, which is pricey, but the food was phenomenal. Parking - Valet only, but they have street parking in front. I parked on the street since there were plenty of spots on a Wednesday, but I assume it gets busy on weekends.

I wasn't expecting a single beef rib to be this impressive. The first thing that caught my…read moreattention was the size. It looked like something straight out of a food show. Thankfully, the taste lived up to the appearance. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It came right off the bone without falling apart completely, which gave it a really satisfying texture. What I liked most was that the beef itself was the star of the dish. It had a rich, smoky flavor and didn't rely on heavy seasoning or sauce to stand out. The lime wedges on the side were a surprisingly good addition and helped balance the richness of the meat. This was one of those dishes that made everyone at the table stop talking for a moment and just enjoy the food. Definitely the most memorable thing I ordered at Good Alley, and I would come back just for this beef rib.

It is interesting that the sister restaurant, Jirong Roast Duck Restaurant, is not listed in the Michelin Guide. A few key notes: * It looks like the restaurant is getting more customers now as our party waited 15+ minutes even on a regular weekday evening. * No free samples were offered during our weekday dinner visit. * Now each table has a tablet and customers can place orders directly via the tablet. Please note that the tablet only allows customers to place orders and customers will still need to flag down a staff member to request the check. * Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings (aka XLB) continue to be an S-tier item to order here. In fact I think they are some of the best XLBs I have had in Los Angeles and Orange County. Perfect dough texture and on-point flavorful broth. * For Chinese Burger, stick with the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Beef instead of the Kurobuta Pork as the beef provides a better texture & the pork tastes slightly greasy. * Stir-Fried Noodles with Angus Beef Brisket had a similar flavor profile to stir-fried chow fun but with a different type of noodle. An A-tier item. This continues to be a solid 4.5-star Chinese restaurant and it is still a better alternative to Din Tai Fung despite Good Alley is getting more customers.

I came here and wrote an incredible review, as it was compatible to Beijing Da Dong/Quan Ju De 北京 大董/全聚德。 Over the years, I have been back for few times and even have done takeout for a special occasion. Unfortunately, today visit was a really disappointing one. The duck has no taste, but even duck gamey taste. The duck soap is blend, and has no duck flavor. The baby Guilan is mild without garlic flavor. Wow! Before I stepped into the restaurant, my sister warned me about lower my expectation as she heard about the decline of food quality. I kept my mouth shut at first as it's always a treat to come here. But after few bites and trials, we looked at each other and then shared our common feeling. Thank Goodness, across the street, there is a new roasted duck place that we can try next time. I informed the service team twice about the quality but no one brought it to the management. Huge disappointment

I am not sure why my party and I failed to question this hahah. Anyway, we ordered the: - Beef Chow Fun: Very solid, not the best or the worst. Not too oily, yet had great flavor to it. I would recommend this! - Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings: I would highly advise against ordering this (view photo attached). It seemed like they coated the chicken wing in 10 layers of batter and did not fry it enough. Why are my chicken wings WHITE. Also, TOO SALTY. Eating straight MSG. - Butter Toast: Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very classic dish and cannot go wrong. All these dishes came with one free drink as well, could choose between HK milk tea, lemon tea, Chinese tea, etc. all with unlimited refills. The restaurant is so well decorated and very reminiscent of Hong Kong/ Macau. I loved all the details such as the mahjong tables and dominos underneath the glass. The service is also very reminiscent of HK, as in it is essentially non existent. Although the restaurant was not busy, we still had to constantly wave over the waiters. I like how consistent they are with the theme.

They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. None of the dishes were too salty and all were seasoned well and in pretty big portions, though I don't remember the exact price since they took the receipt away when we paid. But the meal was very worth and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Such a yummy meal! I really enjoyed it! I am definitely coming back again!
