Ordered on Uber eats the sandwich was small $25 and they forgot all of the toppings I paid for turkey and bread and Uber eats wouldn't give any refund

    Tuna fish sandwich

Great quality ingredients but much smaller sandwiches than expected for the price. Buffalo chicken was good but my wife's tuna salad had 1/3 the amount of the main protein as it should have. Employees were nice and quick.

We ordered catering for $800, which included 72 sandwiches. The bread was fresh, and all condiments were provided separately to keep the sandwiches from getting soggy. The owner was very accommodating -- I texted in the order, and it was processed quickly. They fulfilled our special requests for utensils, napkins, and even provided separate boxes just for pickles. Pickup was ready early in the morning, and everything was neatly packed and organized. Guests loved the food! * "Great bread -- super fresh!" * "The pickles were so crisp!" * "That house sauce was delicious!" Everything was beautifully done and made our son's birthday lunch a hit. Highly recommended for catering!

Wow this place is expensive for what they give you. Pro: the sourdough is okay Con: small portions and cold soup and they were out of the soup I wanted at lunch time. I'd say this is for a quick bite to eat at steep prices. Not at all am amazing sandwich or anything to write home about.

Sandwiches were fantastic. I had the smoked brisket sandwich and my father had the cholula. Flavors were amazing and rich. Staff were very nice and friendly. There was an outdoor table as well as a handful inside the shop. It was clean and well kept. Note: they had a preference for cash payments and offered 1% discount for paying in cash.

6 inch Pastrami Reuben & 4 inch turkey sandwich to go
    James M.

We came in to pick up sandwiches for a quiet Saturday night dinner at home. We were pleasantly surprised at how perfectly crunchy, soft and flavorful the sourdough bread was, even at the end of the day. One of us had the pastrami Reuben and the other had the turkey sandwich. We liked the three size options since I wasn't as hungry getting over a cold, and the smallest size was just right. We also had a cup of the vegetable soup which we both enjoyed. We saw someone come in and pick up a loaf of the sourdough bread to take home which we will definitely be trying along with their cookies. Pros: Friendly service, delicious sandwiches and sourdough bread, and what looked to be a very clean establishment Cons: NA

The soup is so amazing , the owner Ij is amazing and his staff are so kind and nice. The ambiance is really great, and the location is very clean 10/10 service and so happy to welcome more businesses in the area!!

Stopped my while in the area. Grabbed a snack and some sourdough to take home and bake l. Delicious. I will be back to try some more food. It was busy and warm and the staff was friendly and welcoming!

I got a chicken salad sandwich from Sourdough and Co from a catered event. The sandwich itself was decently priced, and I liked the chicken salad. The olives add a nice texture and sweetness, and the sourdough bread [EDITED] was not too hard. The size was a bit small though. Not a bad sandwich overall.

Bowl size of clam chowder with 3 slices of sourdough bread.

This is my first Yelp review of 2025. I ordered a "bowl" size Clam Chowder. Oh man, it's so good! You can tell it's made daily. It also includes a couple of warm sourdough bread slices. Also, in my past visit, I had their turkey and pastrami sandwich. That is also good. The owners are nice.

    grilled chicken caesar salad

Great spot to grab a bite to eat. Bread was really fresh, service could be faster. But a lot of the customers seemed to be regulars and not in a rush at all. We got a grilled chicken caesar salad and a bbq chicken flat bread. Both tasted ok. I was wrong to assume grilled chicken would be chunky pieces of chicken. But it was more like deli chicken meat. Flatbread portion was on the smaller side. We saw someone getting chili in a bowl and we wish we had gotten that instead. Maybe next time.

Pro tip: when you get in, you order first before being seated, especially the kalbijjim since it takes a long time to make. The kalbijjim, of course, is the star of the show and never ceases to amaze me. The veggies inside are flavorful and tender from marinating in the sauce for hours, and the beef is fall-off-the-bone tender and plentiful. It's expensive, but worth every penny -- and with the cheese torched on top, it's just perfect. We also got the bibimbap and steamed mandu, japchae, and they were amazing too. Service was great -- attentive even with the crowds. There's street parking, but 3rd Ave is busy, so your best bet is the parking lot nearby. Come hungry and be patient -- it's worth it!

These days, we go for the seolleongtang. Our top picks are the combination seolleongtang and the yukgaejang (spicy brisket soup). The combination soup is rich, hearty, and feels like drinking pure liquid collagen. If you're craving something with a kick, the spicy brisket soup offers a much deeper, more savory, and flavorful spice profile.

I ordered their #1 recommendation, the Homura Aburasoba, and immediately scarfed it down. Popping the perfectly runny egg yolk into the noodles was incredibly satisfying, and every bite was packed with rich, savory umami. The noodles themselves were thick, chewy, and had a great bite that held up well to the sauce. I also tried the Wagyu dish, but it arrived more cooked than it appeared in the photos, which made the texture and overall experience a bit underwhelming. The sauce also leaned on the creamier side, which isn't my favorite pairing with Wagyu, so I'd probably skip that one next time. That said, the Homura Aburasoba alone is worth coming back for and easily earns Kajiken a well-deserved 5/5.

This guy likes to let the hype die down before trying the latest "cool place". Kajiken specializes in Arubasoba, which is like a dry ramen. I haven't had it here in the U.S., but tried it in Tokyo and loved it. I was excited to learn that is what Kajiken was all about. I tried their signature dish Homura Aburasoba with two poached eggs. It was absolutely fantastic. I think I might have found a solid challenger to my favorite ramen place in the downtown. This dish was an incredible blend of soba noodles, spicy minced pork, fresh vegatables and egg. Wow. I am a huge fan. Just thinking about it now makes me want to jump in MINI and race down to them Italian Job-style. I also had the ponzu karaage and it too was simple delicious. The ponzu gave the wonderful fried chicken an added zip. Oh, yeah. Service was good and our service kept refilling out water carafe, which as appreciated. I needed it cool down the spiciness of the soba. Okay, time for the iPhone snaps.
