Nick's is AWESOME!!! We decided to give it a try after seeing the reviews on Yelp and yep, it's all true. Their chili burger was deeeeee-licious and their zucchini fries!! Omigosh!! I'm a nut for zucchini fries and pretty much order it from any/every place that has it, and Nick's is the best. There's a place I used to go to on the Westside in LA (can't remember the name now) that was great, but I put Nick's version right up there with it. What makes it so special and awesome is that the zucchini is still recognizable. I like to take a bite of the zucchini fry and pull out the entire zucchini because I don't want to eat all the batter, just half of it. And usually, this doesn't happen because the zucchini gets cooked down to mush at most places, but not at Nick's! The husband had a regular 1/4 pounder and agreed it was a darn good burger. We're fans of Tops, a burger place in Pasadena (the one on Rosemead, not Walnut) and agree that this place is darn close to Top's as far as taste and quality, but the kicker is the fact that Nick's is cheaper than Top's. Our order of a 1/4 pounder, 1/4 pound chili burger, small order of zucchini fries (which were ridiculously generous) and a Coke was $14. Same order at Top's would have been closer to $20. I'm thinking it's the location.. Redlands vs. Pasadena, but I do appreciate the fact that Nick's keeps their prices so reasonable. Evidently Nick's has been around for 20 years, so they're definitely doing something right. It has a McDonald's and a Jack in the Box right next door, but while we were eating, we never saw the drive-through action slow down, which was another testament to their food, seeing as it was an "awkward" time, around 3PM - too late for lunch/too early for dinner. The location was clean, and the service was professional, prompt and friendly. Can't wait to go back to try their other stuff, especially the pastrami. And more chili. I won't come here again. My burger was made wrong and my drink was flat and wrong and I was told by the owner who answered the phone it was " too bad" I had to order a new one and pay for a new burger if I wanted it fixed . I understand with covid they cannot take food back and I didn't ask to return food just have order fixed , but I got the wrong order in my bag obviously . He was so rude and couldn't care less to make it better. I've been coming here almost 20 years . Such a disappointment . read more

Having lived in the area for years, we've tried all of the restaurants in town. Hands down, Nicks is absolutely the best. The staff is friendly, service is fast even when there is a long line, the orders are always exactly right and the food is consistently good. Things are hard right now in the service industry, so I know they've been closed occasionally due to staffing issues. But, cut them a break! They are the nicest people and I can tell they work hard to serve their customers. read more

OMG what a great burger . We were just passing thru town and discovered this little gem . We called in are order and the guy was super friendly . When we got there we were so glad we called ahead because the drive thru line was crazy long , We pulled up to the front door called them again and they partially opened the front door and gave us are AMAZING food super easy and very covid compliant. I would recommend the zucchini fries over the regular fries now don't get me wrong they both were good but the zucchini was great . We used Yelp to break away from the urge to make a quick McDonald's stop. Nick's came up with very solid reviews. Be prepared to wait for your meal as it seems everything is prepared to order. Even prior to receiving our food the impression is good. When we walked in the place was completely full on a Sunday at 1130. Literally not a table free. That is a great sign! I used to be a regular-but recent changes combined with a bad experience has made me just cross them off my list of places to consider. This experience was over a month ago, but I just decided to write about it. I called to order my food so that it would be ready for pickup-I told them I wanted to order a Chicken dinner and a bowl of soup. I was told I could only order in person (in the drive thru). So I headed there only to find a huge line in the drive thru but got in line. It took 15 min before I even got to the speaker to order. When I ordered I was told they no longer serve any of the dinner combinations and they no longer make soup. (They used to make it homemade every day and was honestly the best thing about this place). I was really upset-why didn't the person I talked to on the phone tell me this! Why did they waste my time coming down and sitting in line for nothing?!! It took another 15-20 minutes just to get out of the drive through line-with no food to show for it! They were rude and I won't bother returning-their burgers are skimpy and the fried mushrooms & fried zucchini are good but they are really expensive and way more than one person can eat. Why don't they have half orders? I don't like paying $5 for a side order that I won't be able to finish. So just not worth it anymore. read more

Trisha thinks she can talk to people with an attitude like she cares nothing about having any kind of customer service. Its really sad because she represents Nick's burgers as a whole and she makes it seem like the OWNERS HIRE trashy, ghetto, and classless people with zero patiences for us the customer. My husband and I love Nick's. My fave is the fried zucchini. They also serve a great breakfast. Great food, Great service. I called in a to-go order for this morning, it was a somewhat large order, and when I arrived they had just finished boxing it up and had it all ready to go. Ok so me and my husband decided to Go through the drive thru the girl that took our order was so rude talking bout I don't even understand what your ordering a burger or double burger?? Then asking is that it? Man took so much for me not to say anything because I didn't want anything going wrong with our food.. well we got to the window and wasn't greeted by same person Thank God...she was very nice and her voice was not that same. Reason for only 4 stars is because maybe they should hire people that actually like there job and if your having a bad day don't let it reflect on everyone else! Holy cow, these onion rings are good!! I'm literally writing this review with an onion ring in one hand and my phone in the other. I had to stop myself and write this review. I am not normally a fan of onion rings but I am now. The portion sizes are big so be ready to be pleasantly stuffed. Glad we decided to try this place out. Next time we will come for breakfast because their menu looked great! Everything here is so delicious! I have been to this establishment at least 5 times in the past. The food is good. It is exactly what you expect at semi-fast burger joint. Fried mushrooms and the burgers are tasty. My 3 star review is solely directed at the front counter person. I noticed that other reviews shared my sentiment. The older woman at the front counter who took our order started with a very unfriendly face to match her greeting. To make a long story short, she didn't remember which bills I handed her so she proceeded to berate me, get defensive, and even ask if a coworker could check the camera. Being a business owner and former manager, I would say that this situation could have been handled with a lot more tact and discretion. I pretty much got into an argument in front of other customers and was never apologized to by the worker. I asked to speak to a manager, which she said wasn't there today along with several more smart alec statements. While I was eating, I noticed a friendly-looking gentleman with a Nick's Burger polo enter. I asked if he was the manager. Yes, he was. His name was Steve and he was attentive and seemed concerned about my issue. He apologized for the rude manner in which I was treated. I stated that the counter lady should not be working in customer service. He informed me that he would have a discussion with her. I believe him. Hopefully the woman working will not serve customers anymore. My family nor my friends that accompanied me will ever order from them again if we see that person working in the front. I own a business around the corner, so I will reserve informing people about the way I was treated and chalk it up to one bad apple employee not spoiling the bunch. read more

Food is good and service is ok. We have encountered 2 rude people while giving our order. One gal was younger and acted super annoyed with us and made us feel uncomfortable. The other gal was a older lady and she was rude. We told her we wanted the chicken dinner but with chicken strips as we had got before she said "they didn't this for you because we ran out of chicken or....?" We said because it was for children. She gave us a "wtf look" and wrote it down. Seriously, why does it even matter...? Then we ordered a bacon burger but accidentally said avocado and my husband corrected himself and she was like ok ok and I decided to repeat the fact that we also asked for it to be plain and she interrupted me and said "I got it!!" then she tried to sell us 99¢ cups for water vs using the free cups. I told her no thanks and she said well it's for kids and these have lids... it's only 99¢.... I told her no thanks (again) that we would just use the free cups, but she gave me a look like I was stupid. Rude rude rude. It was their Pastrami Sandwich. my favorite place for a Pastrami sandwich is Saverino's Italian Deli & Market on State Street in Redlands. I mean it's the best. Their fans were down today and they were not able to make any hot foods. I was desperate for a Pastrami Sandwich so I was trying to think of a place in Redlands. Nick's burgers were the place to go to because I had some really good burgers there in the past. so I thought their PASTRAMI would be good. How wrong I was.
