Pretty good!!!! First time here even though I've lived near by for almost 20 years yikes !!! Yea the fried zuccini is sooooo good !!!! Highly recommend it . Plus the portion is pretty generous. Read the reviews and was waffling about a burger joint for breakfast. Nick's did not disappoint. Don't come here for the perfect off-menu breakfast. Come here and order what they know how to do well and enjoy it. Our scrambled eggs were ordered wet and medium. We both got overly dry, bits of browned eggs. The cashier/server was grumpy with our slow-to-order process, after all, she obviously was proficient in her work and impatient with us. But she rallied when bringing our order by cracking a smile and relaxing her efficiency-mode. All the good stuff--they know how to poach a perfect egg. Hash browns were crispy outside, creamy inside. Toast and meats were all tasty and grilled nicely. Try the chicken and egg breakfast! I appreciate a good mom and pop joint, I'd say if your open to a real experience with real food, give Nick's a try. I get that good staff can be hard to find and great customer service and efficiency are traits that are tough to get at a fast food place however this time was really good, a different person, a much nicer experience and the burgers and fries were pretty dang tasty! *Burger review* I will go against popular southern california opinion even though I was raised here in this great state. Nicks has better burgers than in-n-out. I'm not trying to push buttons but think about it, everything on their secret menu isn't even secret. They just add more of the same ingredients, what's so secret about that?? You can do that anywhere. At Nick's you can get a bigger, much more filling burger, they have much more toppings and variety. I love getting the double cheese burger with plenti of fresh avocado and grilled mushrooms. Some people dont like mushrooms but the point is that there is actually true variety here at Nick's. If you want a chili burger with bacon, you can get it that way. At the other place they force you to call their thousand island sauce "spread", and they correct you every time. If you dont like that sauce you're only other option is their high fructose corn syrup filler* ketchup. For your sides here at Nick's you can get a pretty generous serving of chili fries, get some deep fried mushrooms or zucchini to name a few with some truly unbelievable ranch. They have the original version and a spicy version, try both! They make the ranch here. Theres something here for everybody, I hope this review highlights the quality of these burgers as well as the true customizable options. I respect both places, but seeing as the other has huge lines and californians place it on a pedestal. My opinion if you choose so to hear it, Nick's Burgers is Way better! read more

We ordered the chili cheese fries which is really amazing!! It was crispy and had good consistency of sauce and bunch of cheese. We ordered their burgers too which really had a nice presentation,because usually some place server there burgers all sloppy.Their jumbo corn dog isn't really huge, but it was still really yummy and crispy, better than any other corn dog I've had.Their onion rings and zucchini fries were really good too.We couldn't finish all the food, and had to just save it due to the great portion they gave us. We had the 1/4lb Cheeseburger, Kids cheeseburger, fries and Zuccini fries. The burgers were very big and flat, and surely came from the freezer. Seasoned ok, nothing special. The fries were the same thing. The Zucchini fries were amazing! Not sure I would ever come here for anything else though. Went here for the third time in my life and it was not apparent at first that this place has a racial issue until today. My husband and I went for an early dinner and this Baba Yaga looking old woman was at the register fully nice to everyone until we came up to order. I said hello to her and she did not acknowledge me nor said anything. She only addressed my husband who is Caucasian. I let it slide and walked off to let my husband handle her. She took the order and we sat down. My husband was going to say something to her but I told him to let it go. We got our food and it was okay. Not better than the last time we ate there. The woman kept walking over to other people and not us asking them if they need anything and even having conversations with them. There was also a young guy who may have been a manager or owner but even he acknowledged other people and said nothing to us just stared at us. I am never quick to call race but we do get a lot of staring because we are an interracial couple. I am hoping that they change the interactions with people because we are always bringing friends from out of state and the country to local eats. read more

Been eating here for years, felt like checking out yelp for the hell of it. I end up reading a couple reviews about the customer service. I will say, that I've never had an issue before, that I recall. But today, I felt like the staff at nicks was under the impression I owed them money or something. I first pull to the window, In which I believe the person on the mic tells me to hold on a sec. 3 minutes or so later, I Believe I hear, can you order, we're waiting on you. I respond, oh, I thought you asked me to wait. I then order one small part of the total order, and the person keeps asking if that was it, kind of in an attitude. It was as if, because I put them behind for sitting there, they wanted to give me no time to actually order, and probably ended ordering less because of it. I've been here several times before and had good experiences but today I came to order my normal order and waited in the drive thru line for about 20 minutes prior to ordering. When I get up to the menu to place my order the girl told me that they could not make my sandwich that way. I explained that I always order it this way ( a grilled ham and cheese but with turkey instead) and she insisted that they could not do it very rudely I might add. Not sure how I have not reviewed Nicks Burgers yet! Redlands native, now living in Phoenix, I practically grew up on Nicks! They have the best fried zucchini and ranch, I swear in the world. There has not been one restaurant that has been able to top their fried zucchini. But hey also have a ton of menu options; something for everyone. As a childhood fave, I always resort to a classic grilled cheese and of course, the fried zucchini. Their fries are also good. We have never once had a bad experience. We go to Nick's for 1. the food, and 2. the staff. Whenever I want a good cheeseburger, gyro, or even salad, the whole family goes to Nick's. And I mean the WHOLE family. And don't even get me started on the rice pudding. It's a MUST! They've perfected the recipe to make it taste like the nectar of the Gods. The manager, Steve, is the most community-oriented person in the world. He knows all the regulars by name and he always has a smile on his face. He and the waiters will chat with us like we've been friends for years (at this point, we ARE!) Everything is made fresh and with love. And ask about their hamburger stickers!
