Third of all, it's run by nice people who are passionate about food. My friends and I were the first customers on opening day. We had many slices, the spring fling, classic cheese, classic pepperoni, and mushroom. We also had the most delicious strawberry shortcake, which tasted as though it was made by harnessing the cuteness of bunnies with the fragrance of honeysuckle. The lemon verbena whipped cream was like a pillow sent from heaven in my mouth as the three of us devoured the thing in mere seconds. I do hope that doesn't leave the menu anytime soon, it's fucked up good. Not only did we stay way too long getting seconds and thirds of pizza, but inexplicably, when scooting by to get my seconds, my dress was flung up and I flashed the place my pussy. Been biking past his place on my way home from my new job for a week, and finally got a chance to see if the lovely smell making it to the street, translated into a good bite. In addition to the smell the place looked inviting and they had a sign about using sourdough for their crust which sounded enticing. They got whole pies or slices of a selection of their current flavors not just the basic cheese which was def a thumbs up. They also offer a few vegan pizzas but unfortunately not as a slice (maybe some days?). Worth noting since vegans would have to retort to buying a whole pie. Since i do cheese sometimes I tried their corn and green chilies flavor. Been damn down for corn lately (and who isn't) so got sup excited. My husband and I entered the establishment to order a cheese pizza after a long day. When we walked in the man behind the counter preparing a pizza didn't even acknowledge us. First and foremost, you should at least greet a customer appropriately upon entering. Each customer that walks in should be valued and respected - no matter what! Delicious sourdough crust adds a different and unique twist and a pizza baked with a crispy-ish and sturdy bottom. They look like they always sell cheese, pepperoni, and spinach and mushroom by the slice. When we went (Sunday) they didn't have their other flavors available by slice, which was a shame. By the looks of the other reviews, nick changes up his menu every once in a awhile and sells different things. Space: Very little seating available. Had my niece and nephews with me for the day and they begged for pizza. Was trying to find a pizza joint with an outdoor patio....YELP said it has outdoor seatings...ummm..one small table and 2 chairs if that fits the definition? We ordered the classic pepperoni and BGT- bacon, Gorgonzola, and tomato. I was taking a risk on the BGT with the kids but they actually liked it better than the classic. The combo of all three ingredients along with mozzarella cheese is an explosion of flavor! The bacon was under the cheese, on top of the cheese, between the cheese. How can that go wrong! The crust was crispy and the edge was soft. Rarely do I ever eat a whole slice including the end of the crust but I did it here. We all enjoyed the classic. Best pepperoni on a pizza I've ever had! I usually get slices. They're always freshly made. I recently learned one night when I came in at closing time, that the leftovers always go to feed the staff and the hungry, never rolled over to the next day. Today I had tomatillo Sauce, Caramelized Red Onions, Mozzarella and Cotija Cheeses. It WAS culinary art: tart and sweet, cheesy & zippy, chewy and crunch crust - lots of ingredients blended into one beautiful taste experience. I also grabbed the new goat cheese, hazelnut and date salad with baby greens (it was one five choices today. Love a well-textured salad that's creamy & crunchy, sweet and salty, with flavorful mild vinaigrette and market fresh. Then came the pastry chef dilemma: go with the cheesecake, Nick's "Almost Famous" strawberry shortcake or dark chocolate mousse (& don't sleep on the giant chocolate chip cookie). I tried two pizzas- 1) harissa with cauliflower, and 2) classic spinach and mushroom. The harissa/ cauliflower pizza has a slightly spicy kick and good texture balance between the roasted cauliflower, caramelized onions, feta & mozzarella cheese, and spicy harissa sauce. The spinach and mushroom pizza was bland without much flavor. The service was quick and friendly. This is a small restaurant with about 6 tables inside. Lots of people just grab a quick bite for take out. While I enjoyed myself, I likely wouldn't come back unless I was in the area.
