The pizza, pasta sampler, and fettuccine Alfredo were delicious. The bread was very good. The chicken in the fettuccine was lackluster. As a Yankee transplant living in Texas, it's extremely hard to find a good Stromboli here. This place has them. Try the special Stromboli it is excellent with their marinara on the side. We also love the pizza here. It is our family tradition to get either pizza or Stromboli every Friday night from here. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and what I got was a footlong piece of bread full of green peppers, onions and cheese! Nick's isn't fancy gourmet Italian food. It's the chicken parmesan with red sauce and spaghetti of my childhood. And an iceberg lettuce salad with a quarter wedge of tomato. Bottled Italian dressing with tomato paste added. So yeah it's comfort food. I'm giving Nick's five stars because when I want comfort food it's exactly what I want. Like the only thing I want to eat after a two-day fast for a medical procedure comfort food The only problem with dine in is that the dish comes out of the broiler lava hot. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for months now. I love the family that runs it and they always go over and beyond for us. We make sure to go weekly if not daily. The cravings just get so strong. We always eat in and they bring everything to our table and make sure we are set up with silverware, cheese, the little pepper flakes, everything. The pasta is my favorite and is always made so well. They even fulfill my boyfriends cravings despite it not technically being on the menu. Definitely my favorite restaurant to hit after a long lake day. They are always so warm and inviting. The only bad thing is them not being open on mondays haha but they have to have a break too. We have eaten here for over 15 years. This is our "go to" spot for consistent, good pizza that is not a chain pizza place. We always order the antipasta salad with the house dressing and share it. We find the pizza tastes better when the dough is extra stretched out into an extra large pizza so we either order a pizza or by the slice and a couple toppings. Our 3 1/2 year old enjoys the spaghetti and marinara sauce I, on occasion, will order a pasta or pasta special which, I believe are very good. We eat both at the restaurant and pickup to go. Either works well. Remember to tip your server at the table if you are served and helped by them throughout your meal. It's possible they may not get a tip otherwise. read more
