Pretty frustrated at the moment with this place. I placed my order through Grub hub, my friend wanted lots of meat on her sandwich so we clicked all the meats available- each extra meat cost $0.00 so we said, "why not?!" 20 minutes after placing the order I received a phone call saying that my bill was gonna be really large because of all the extra meat. I told the man that if they advertise something they should actually do it. He kept telling me it was going to be a lot of money so I just said forget it and to not put the extra meat. Like it's not a big deal- not mad about the meat- but the man was rude and they shouldn't post something on their site if they don't do it.

I discovered this place on Friday and had to come back today (Monday) for more. As soon as I've walked in I've been greeted by friendly staff and great smells. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. Last week I got the fish and chips and the fish was delicious. Today I got the chicken fingers and fries. The fingers are you typical frozen one dropped in a fryer but they were delicious. The bbq sauce on the side was a thick sauce and tasty. Last week I had the steak fries which were awesome and today I got more traditional type, not as good but good. The price for what you get makes this a place I will be visiting often!

Nick's has a a generous roast beef sub filled with lean, rare beef. Very good. Sandwiches are OK. Strange "king hot dog", but OK, too.

Here's a breakdown: Got the bruschetta and a burrata for appetizers. The bread on the bruschetta was too burned out, so I didn't enjoy the dish. The burrata was my favorite dish of the evening! Fresh cheese on a light coat of arugula, accompanied by mashed sweet pumpkin, pistachios and grilled pita bread. To die for! For entrees, I had the grilled octopus (from the appetizer menu); it was well done and quite filling. My partner tried the tagliatelle with ragu, quite a filling portion and well done. Overall, a good dining experience. Service a little slow, but quite pleasant. Sitting outside we missed the inside ambience, but happy not to be in a noisy environment. A suggestion: need to work on the music - English pop doesn't go well with an Italian restaurant...

For entrees the lasagne is also a great selection. Not a typical lasagne, but homemade pasta sheets and delicious made fresh daily. The chicken Marsala was also quite delicious and highly recommended for something lighter than a pasta dish. Many other menu items looked amazing and we are looking forward to working our way through more of the menu items. Plenty of free parking behind the restaurant and an after dinner stroll through Lexington Center is worth the experience.

Yummy yummy pasta night!…read more My bf surprised me by bringing me to this nice and cozy Italian restaurant in Arlington heights on Saturday night. It wasn't too busy so we were lucky to get a table. They only have a few tables so making a reservation would be a good idea. Soon after we were seated people started showing up and the tables were starting to fill up. We were served complimentary bread and olive oil which was very good while we decided on our dish. They had a few specials that were not on the menu and sounded delicious but we decided to try their shrimp pasta and their chicken cacciatore. We also ordered the house Nina salad which had delicious pears and a light and tangy vinaigrette dressing. The waiter was very nice and I also think he was the cook since you could see into the kitchen and there were only two people behind the counter. Our pasta dishes came out nice and hot and we quickly devoured them. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were nice and juicy and fully peeled. The shrimp pasta had a nice lemony and tangy flavor and there was plenty of sauce. The chicken cacciatore was also very good. The chicken was nice and tender and the pasta was super flavorful. They were even kind enough to bring us more bread so we could finish our sauces! We will definitely be back!

I honestly can't think of another restaurant that captures the essence of Northern Italian cuisine at this level. Every single dish we ordered was exceptional. My advice: go family-style so you can share and experience as much of the menu as possible. The tortellini was outstanding, the pasta with the brandy cream sauce was unforgettable, and the short rib was absolutely phenomenal. Not a single dish missed, and there wasn't one thing we wouldn't order again. To top it all off, the chef came over to our table at the end of the meal to say hello--a thoughtful touch that made an already incredible experience even more memorable. I would put this restaurant up against anything I've had in Italy, and without question, it's the best Italian restaurant in the Boston area. The most surprising part? It's in Woburn, not the North End. 10/10. An unforgettable dining experience

Short rib with risotto also not hot, and I suspect was microwaved after a service snafu. An outdoor patio with pretty pink flowers and its own branded vehicles. Beep beep. I tried their Prex Fixe lunch menu for just $22 and I felt like I was robbing the place. You get a salad, pasta and choice of dessert. I went with the Caesar, bolognese, and donut holes (zeppole). My bartender, Alexis, made the best recommendations, a great conversationalist, and was quick to the punch when my beer was running low. The bread spread started out HOT. Came out warm with red pepper flakes, parmigiana, and pure olive oil. I poured that cheese right in the oil with 2 spoons of peppers to dip that delicious, airy focaccia into. The salad was perfectly dressed with a bread crumb and bacon topping with your choice of anchovy on top. I'd highly recommend if you're hesitant, nice and vinegary and not too salty nor fishy. Came with a pepperoncini on the side as well. Bolognese sauce was rich, a tad creamy, with delicious meat you can actually taste and see! Some bigger chunks of meat made me feel special and not what I'm used to in a bolognese, but definitely not complaining. Make sure to have any bread left handy to scoop that last little sauce up with. Last but certainly not least, holy moly those Zeppole! Words can't describe how good these are. Crisp outside with a fluffy inside made my dreams come true. The dip was like a coconut whipped cream/ meringue. Whole thing was money bags, yo. Stazione Di Federal is located in downtown Waltham near the T stop. After a long day in Cambridge we were ready for sustenance but what we discovered at Stazione Di Federal was more than just a refueling stop. Housed in an old residence that has been exquisitely restored, Stazione Di Federal features beautiful interior work including crown molding throughout and stately plaster window casing that creates a warm, comfortable ambiance. It also has a magnificent hardwood floor that shines like a mirror. The high ceiling, brick walls, and nicely spaced tables gave it a Tuscan trattoria feel that complements the menu. We were greeted warmly by the owner, John Brackett, who showed us to our table in the main dining room. Our server, Patty, provided attentive and informative service throughout our two hour excursion. Stazione Di Federal is a scratch kitchen featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and boasts an impressive curated wine list with superb selections from the many regions of Italy. We started with an extra dry Hendricks Gibson up (Finally! A Gibson!) and an Alto Adige Tramin Sauvignon Blanc. Italy's South Tyrol deserves more credit for its exceptional whites and the Tramin more than did justice to the grape. Our appetizer was beef carpaccio composed of paper-thin NY strip, shaved pecorino, arugla, capers, and EVOO. This was served with an exceptional focaccia which, together, was an outstanding way to start our meal. Their menu is broad and enticing; it was rather difficult to decide from so many great choices but we ordered the daily special - lemon risotto with scallops and, at Patty's recommendation, the orecchiette. The risotto was perfectly cheesy with citrus highlights decorated with five seared scallops that were charred on the outside and melt-in-your mouth tender inside. Of note were the peas that dotted to risotto! The orecchiette was al dente and featured a tremendous Italian sausage that had incredible anise notes. We finished with the baklava cheesecake that was topped with a pistachio walnut crumble, crispy phyllo, and a drizzle of warm honey. As always we each paired that with a double shot espresso with a twist. Stazione Di Federal is a tribute to east coast Italian done well. Impeccable service and a warm, inviting interior made this a memorable experience!

There's an old world feel when you walk in, and the decor is elegant without being stuffy. Although we sat at a table in the main dining room, the bar area was pretty sexy. No imbibing today, but she had the bar tender make me a fruity-ginger mocktail. Just ask, as the non-alcoholic selection amounts to two beers. Food is amazing. The clams casino and fritto misto apps were outstanding! The swordfish special ($49) was amazeballs. I don't even really like swordfish, but they managed to make it buttery soft and very lobsteresque in flavor. The baklava cheesecake is not to be missed--not overly sweet, and I'm on a mission to replicate it at home.
