I was in the mood for a home cooked Italian dinner and Nick's nailed it. Amazing service Delicious food Great ambience 5/5 star meal

A real neighborhood type spot. Not fancy, not overpriced and solid food, although not amazing. They did bring out some interesting bread with oil on the house. Wines by the glass were decently priced with generous pours. We had a salad with tiny chopped tomatoes, olives and cucumbers. It was very refreshing. My better half ordered the chicken cacciatore and said it needed a bit more flavor so he added salt and that helped some. My dish was the Chicken with Artichokes. It tasted just like chicken piccata but without the capers. Service was very professional and friendly. When we want Italian and don't want to break the back we might return.

We went to Nick's at the recommendation of friends. They were impressed with the variety of Italian cuisine. What a treat! It wasn't a very big place in a small strip mall with just enough parking. I noticed all tables sitting, no booths so that they could accommodate any size party. The menu was enormous with a wide variety of favorite Italian food including but not limited to pizza, pasta, beef, veal, and seafood dishes. My wife and guest selected eggplant parmigiana, our friend Dev picked a wonderful Salmon dish and I picked my all time favorite Chioppino. Of course I believe I got the best entree on the menu that included shrimp, calamari, mussels, in a wonderful marinara sauce on a bed of linguine, I was in New York heaven. We all had such big portions there was no room for dessert; however, the ample and delicious drinks made up for it. It's easy for me to recommend Nicks to you for an excellent dining experience at a moderate price!

Amazing!!! Everything. I had Salmon w/crepes pasta and IPA. My friend had Lobster ravioli w/ martini and both prepared perfectly. You're going to want more! Can't go wrong with anything. Very accommodating. Might as well get their amount catered. Super delicious. Easily located. Friendly environment. I got comfortable I could of sat all day and tried everything. Their very popular. Drinks are yummy too. People, Food, service, table arrangements, decorations, Yes everything great. Nick was hanging out too.

Okay food and service here. I'm not much for southern Italian food, even though I am Italian. But if you generally like Italian food, you'll probably like it. I would have given then one more star if their bread seemed homemade or was authentically Italian.

This place is phenomenal. I love the environment & service. The noodles were homemade from scratch and the bread tasted real and had substance. I will be back for-sure and recommend this to anyone looking to find a one of a kind restaurant in the Scottsdale area.

The baked ziti with sausage is a good choice. Pizza is alright but you have to like a thicker and more toasted crust.

"Eat Like Italiano at Marcellino"…read more Marcellino Ristorante in Scottsdale is one of those places that's clearly popular for a reason. There was a long wait when we arrived but the staff made it pleasant by bringing out free bruschetta while we waited, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is very Italian--warm, charming, and inviting. They also have outdoor seating, which adds to the whole experience. There was live music that night, and it really set the mood without being overwhelming. I tried two of their non-alcoholic drinks: the rosemary mint lemonade and the hibiscus mango--both refreshing and thoughtfully made. My husband went with a lager beer, which paired well with the food. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted to try their homemade pasta, and once we heard they have squid ink pasta, my husband didn't hesitate. We ordered it, and wow--it was amazing. The pasta was deeply flavorful, loaded with seafood, and served with lobster meat on the side, which took it to another level. We also ordered the Filetto di Malale--pork tenderloin sautéed with tender asparagus and green peppercorns, finished with a bourbon flambé. It was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. For dessert, we had the flaming panna cotta, which was both fun to watch and deliciously sweet. We were also happy to meet the owner-chef, Marcellino Verzino, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this place is absolutely worth visiting if you're looking for authentic Italian dishes here in Arizona. Definitely a spot we would return to.

I highly recommend trying both, especially if you've never had a Chicago beef. The juicy beef paired with giardiniera is super savory. Damn! I'm craving it again. For lunch on our second visit, we ordered the Chief Beef special and a margherita pizza. This was, by far, the BEST margherita pizza ever! I think I've said that in another review... but for reals this time! The pizza was perfectly crispy on the bottom with just the right amount of basil to top off each bite. For dinner on our third visit, we ordered the clam linguine and an Italian beef sandwich. My husband says this clam linguine was better than the other versions he's eaten at Little Italy. The Italian sandwich was good, but not as savory as the Chicago beef. Can't wait to eat here, again, the next time we visit the Padres during spring training.

I saw a few of my foodie favs talking a out Di Maggio's on IG and it just so happened to be our anniversary week so I snagged a reservation. I did book a table at the patio and there are intense misters on. I did not know this, oops. But our server was so nice and accomodating and they were able to move us to a table inside. We got a nice little booth and were both amazed at the service we received. Vince is super knowledgeable about the restaurant, the history, the chef and dishes. Choices were hard to make but we landed on the arancini, the Don meatball, chicken parm and chicken alla michele. For our anniversary, we got a couple of drinky drink surprises which was so thoughtful. Don't skip dessert here - order the cheesecake! Apparently it is made by the chef's wife and was so delicious. This restaurant is very intimate and full of many authentic Italian dishes. There is no bad dish here, but my absolute favorites were the meatball for appetizer and barolo short rib pasta for entree. One of the only downsides to this restaurant is that it's smaller and not many tables compared to traditional restaurants, so the only way you're going to eat here is getting a reservation which can sometimes require up to 1-2 weeks in advance depending on the weekend. If you're lucky enough to get a resy here, then you'll be extremely happy with your experience because it's definitely worth it.

I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.

The tomato sliced thin so it took in some heat and charred just a bit. The crust is like nothing I've ever had almost like focaccia bread but thinner the perfect crispiness. Now this chicken parm, it's huge we split it and left with 1/2! Comes with angel hair marinara and green beans, it's crisp but with a light breading and yet it's fully breaded again not like any chicken parm I've had, the angel hair marinara is super flavorful for a simple side plus buttery net not oil green beans.
