Although a great doctor, she has little compassion for her patients and I doubt she cares. Her staff could be more professional. The woman gave me minimal details of what I had to do for my daughters lab test to the point where I had to call Quest Diagnostics and even they stated that all this should have been informed by my doctor which it wasn't. Also if you have an appointment don't expect to be seen right away because even if you have a 2pm you may not be seen until 2:30. To my surprise, I was seen on time even with an afternoon appointment. I was able to fill out all my paperwork beforehand and email it in so I didn't have to do any paperwork at the office. Dr. Wiznia was very thorough and easy to talk to. She listened attentively to all my concerns, ranging from medical to cosmetic, and offered a range of helpful solutions for all. She also took the time to explain potential alternatives and side effects, which I appreciated. They use a pharmacy called Third Ave Apothecary, and I was contacted a couple hours after my appointment for my prescriptions, which are now being delivered to me tomorrow and cost about half what I've paid previously. I really have all positives to say and would highly recommend this office and Dr. Wiznia!

Popping in and out of each room with barely time for any conversation. 2) Dr Day was unavailable so I went to her PA, reluctantly. The PA got it completely wrong and I needed a redo. I called the office 4 weeks later (I waited to see if what the PA had done would settle in) and her staff told me I would be charged full price to fix what her assistant had done. 30 years her patient and I was treated like dirt. I asked to speak with her directly and her staff said they were communicating with her. I didn't believe them. My primary care doctor who initially recommended her will no longer send patients to her. While technically she is very gifted, she has lost sight of her focus on her patients.

I needed a doctor who specializes in the treatment of African skin, which easily scars and hyperpigments. A few customers in my hair braider's shop recommended her. Dr. Downie successfully treated my melasma because I have not since had a recurrence. Dr. Downie is both my medical and cosmetic dermatologist. I drive over and hour and a half from Eastern Long Island to see her. She has performed on me many cosmetic procedures, which beautify my skin. I use the skin and hair products she recommends.
