Chicken teriyaki over rice, miso soup, kimchi and edamame.

I was staying in the Marriott next door and arrived late due to delayed flight. LOTS of options. I had chicken teriyaki over rice, miso soup, edamame and kimchi. It was AMAZING. Didn't take long to prepare. GREAT flavor, chicken breast chunks were tender and juicy, generous portion and service was friendly. HIGHLY recommend.

Came by after seeing a movie, it's very small with only couple of seats so mostly a takeout place. I got a tempura shrimp udon noodle soup, and shrimp was packed separately which was good to keep them from being soggy, but there were only 2 shrimps. They were big, but I think more smaller ones would have been better. It was my bad that I hit the brakes hard in the car, but the soup lid had a hole in the top, possibly to vent but there were went a lot of liquid. I have ordered quite a lot of take out soup in my day, and i don't think I've really had a problem like this with a flaky container. I've had other soups with more veggies as well. It was fine, but kind of bland with just noodles, shrimp, and a sliver of carrot. It was serviceable and I'd consider it again after a movie, but it's not worth visiting the Plaza and dealing with the crazy parking lot for just this.

Didn't expect such a simple spicy tuna roll to taste so good. I was pleasantly surprised.

The sushi is just okay, I do not think it is good or great by any means. I decided to try some protein bowls last time, and again, not great. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I don't think it is worth your money, I would rather go to the sandwich shop next door, or another one of the surrounding restaurants before going here. However, the one thing that may be worth your time and money is the little market section of food items and drinks they have, many things you can't find in most supermarkets. I love the chocolate filled pandas and pocki sticks!

My favorite sushi spot! Their sushi is fresh and all made on the spot. The place is tiny but that doesn't bother me.

Small portions and the manager was extremely rude when I tried to explain that he accidentally overcharged me. Definitely not coming back.

I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

(I did that recently for a holiday dinner) To his credit it was probably 8-10 years since we had been there. I remembered it favorably and was looking forward to trying it again. Doesn't feel like it's aged particularly well. We were the only diners a bit after 6 on a Thursday. Waitress was pleasant. We started with 5 skewers. Various parts of the chicken, mostly pretty bland. Nothing was bad but nothing was noteworthy. Tried another round of 5 skewers, the one with the plum filling was a bit more enjoyable. In Yakitori 39's defense, we probably did it wrong. It's probably fun with a bunch of sake but I don't drink alcohol. The ingredients seem quality. Probably won't be rushing back.

My dining partner and I were seated rather quickly. Our server took our drink orders and came back promptly so we could order our food. The menu is pretty extensive but we ordered an assortment of skewers and a bowl of ramen to share. The skewers came out little by little; about 3 skewers per plate. They didn't come all at once so I assume they bring them out as they finish getting grilled. The chicken heart was some of the best I've ever had. I'm not sure if it's the way it was sliced, the seasoning, or just everything about it but I wish we ordered more. The tail skewer was another standout. It had so much crunch that it was almost like it was fried. The flavors were rich and varied. Each skewer cost upwards of $4 so that's a bummer. Unfortunately the ramen wasn't so great. Not terrible, but not great either. Especially not great for $19. Not my first choice for ramen. Is it the most bang for your buck? Certainly not. But I did enjoy my meal and in the end, that's what matters.
