This review is so long overdue! I've been going here for over 2 years and I love it! All the girls there are wonderful at threading so don't worry! Personally I connected with Nisha the most so she is always my go to person for my eyebrows. She takes her time and also make sure to listen to what I want and not over-thread my brows. She also noticed that one side of my brow is not currently growing as much so she takes the time to make sure not to over thread that area to let my brow grows... soon enough my brow is growing nicely. My eyebrows always come out perfect and it's consistent every time which is something that's very important. I Highly recommended threading vs wax. They also have loyalty cards as well! Which you get a free thread after 7th services (if I remember correctly) which is a plus! They also offered a range of threading, waxing, and facials if you like to try something new. Let me just say I have a difficult time when it comes to my brows and Sanam was able to tame the beasts! She is absolutely AMAZING and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out!! My husband and I moved to the city about 5 months ago, so I have been trying to find a brow place that I can trust. I first went to the Anastasia Brow Bar at Nordstroms and I came out looking the same as when I got there, but $30 poorer. Was definitely not worth it. The lady's were great, but it was not what I was expecting. So...I came to Yelp for guidance and found great reviews here at Nirvana and I cannot be happier that I decided to try them out. I recommend calling for an appointment and asking for Sanam! She did an amazing job and takes her time listening to what you want done and does not rush. It was only $15 for eyebrow threading and if you go between 1-5PM on Thurs or Fri its $15 for eyebrow and upper lip. I love everything about this place! read more

Been going to Nirvana for 5 months now and everytime I get a consistently good eyebrow threading. This place an affordable and no-frills, but they do not sacrifice cleanliness/expertise at the great price. The ladies always sanitize their hands, as well as yours, before threading and they make the somewhat painful experience bearable by always checking in (I cry every time) and being patient. They also offer ice and aloe gel to calm the freshly threaded brows. I always add on the 15-minute scalp massage and it is heavenly (I fall asleep every time). I am so glad I found Rumi again at Nirvana Beauty & Brows! I used to go to her when she was at Hollywood Eyebrows at Stonestown and was sad to find out she left without getting her information. Low and behold, 3 months later, I randomly walk in and find Rumi again at Nirvana! I absolutely LOVE nirvana. I started going to them about 4 months ago, right when i moved to SF from LA and i have nothing bad to say about their work. I love how they do my eyebrows, and the little massage they give at the end is heaven. The establishment is extremely clean and soothing. I just went to them for a wax for the first time and that was also amazing. They use rose hard wax which is super gentle and smells nice- they will continue to be my regular spot!! read more

I'm EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my eyebrows. I want the perfect shape, thickness, and a defined arch. I was so happy to find this place, and especially to find Rumi. She does an absolutely amazing job and I have probably been back to her a half dozen times so far and will continue going back. I have had one other girl there wax my eyebrows, but I wasn't as pleased with the job she did, so I now only schedule with Rumi. Don't go here if you would like your eyebrows to match. A second woman came to help and agreed that they didn't match. One eyebrow had an horizontal shape, the other one had a triangular shape. The second woman did her best to try to fix it. read more

I'm glad I finally found Rumi, and happy for her that she started her own business. I'd been going to Rumi at Hollywood eyebrow, for full face threading, for a couple of years, and then she was gone. But I found her. Rumi's not only gentle and does a good job threading, you have to try her face massage after your through with your threading. It's so relaxing, takes me to another place(nirvana.) I spoke with Rumi today. She's taking appointments for now. Nirvana Beauty and Brows is in the financial district near the pyramid building. I saw Rumi for three years while I lived in North Beach (recently moved to So Cal) and every time was a great experience. For context, I get my brows and upper lip done every 7-10 days. Occasionally I would see Sangita, and they were both wonderful, but Rumi is my girl. My brows are quite thick and dark, and she was able to get them in a great shape that now people always compliment. She does a ice cube and aloe mini-massage after, which I found amazing, but I usually wasn't wearing makeup when I went there, so nothing to mess up. I used to go to Hollywood eyebrows in Stonestown and made it a point to schedule it with rumi for eyebrows and upper lip! now that she has her own place and its in Fidi..that makes it the most convenient trip to get threaded with the best person in town! She also does facials and I love em!! took my bf for a facial appointment a couple of times now and he loves it!(considering he is the most shy indian man to even walk into a salon and wait for me while I am getting my services done!) Rumi makes her clients super comfortable and listens to their needs.
