Yuck! Ordered delivery - shrimp summer roll was raw. Chicken dish was stale AND raw. Beef was chewy.

Ate dinner here Friday night and was very impressed with the food and service. The restaraunt is located in Canton center. There is adequate parking in a small lot across the street. Our waiter Arnold I believe, had the whole place to himself and while it was pretty busy he did an excellent job of hustling about and had a great personality as well. Food takes a few minutes to come out however I was enjoying a Castle Island Keeper and had nice company so all good with that. We always start with healthy summer rolls. They cut the rolls here which is nice. The dipping sauce I thought could have been more peanutty but thats just my taste. The Tom Gai soup was tasty but not the best I have had. A bit more coconut and a bit more chicken would have done it. On the other hand the crispy Nisa's duck, a chef specialty was amazing. The fat was gristled perfectly yet the meat was moist. The veggie Pad Thai was also very good. We took quite a lot home. I enjoyed it for lunch today. read more

Great spot for Thai food in the center of Canton. We shared scallion pancakes and all had Thai iced tea, my friends got the Pad Kee Mao, and I got the Kao Soi chicken. The portions are pretty good sized and prices are very affordable. Definitely will visit again in the future. read more

My and a friend had to see if this was a good authentic Thai spot. Found out it was authentic and delicious. Great spot.... food was excellent and the service and people were super cool. Got to meet Nisa herself , the owner and Nicole. Awesome people. If your looking for amazing Thai food this is where you wanna be. I'd give this 3.5 stars. I got chicken pad Thai, shrimp spring rolls and mango sticky rice. The chicken pad Thai was decent but tasted like an ingredient had been burnt so kind of overpowered the dish. Not as sweet as usual. I liked the shrimp spring rolls. They were light and bright and the dipping sauce was yummy. The mango sticky rice was a big portion but the flavor of the sticky rice seemed off/ didn't really taste like coconut or ones I've had in the past. It was decent but nothing to write home about! read more

The food is excellent! Very Fresh. Not heavy on sauces as is the case in some Thai restaurants which gives room for all of the fresh flavors to come through tremendously. Portions and pricing well balanced. Service was quick and efficient. Was able to meet the owner, Nisa. Another great story of immigrants coming to this country and building a successful business through hard work, faith and belief in America. When we arrived we were kindly greeted and hardly had to wait to be seated. We ordered a chicken pad Thai, crab rangoons, dumplings and a pineapple fried rice. The crab rangoons and dumplings were yummy and started out meal off right. Pad Thai is EXCELLENT here; extremely flavorful. Best of all the dishes! Unfortunately our pineapple fried rice came out without shrimp or pineapples. We were quickly helped and the server brought out what was left out on a small separate plate .... but cold pineapples and luke warm shrimp on the side really did not help revive the dish as best as we thought it could. It was a decent house fried rice, just not what we ordered. Additionally the plates here are on the smaller side for what they are priced. Overall I would definitely recommend going here, even if you only get past thai because the flavor is THAT amazing. read more

This was my 2nd time here and this place officially deserves 5 stars! The first time I tried the Pad Thai - traditional Thai favorite, executed perfectly. Today I had the Beef Salad**.. The "**" standing for very spicy. This was probably one of the most delicious salads I've ever had! If you like spicy, but are on a low-carb or lighter diet I highly recommend this dish! For dessert I tried their Thai Custard.. Warm, light, flavorful, the perfect ending to a great lunch. .. and they have free Wifi! If I'm in the Canton area, I'm stopping by Nisa's Thai. Ordered from here for the first time. The woman who took my order and was at the counter when I arrived to pick up my order was extremely friendly and very nice. The food we ordered was very good, nothing unusual but good standard Thai. The reason for the four stars instead of five is because of several things. One item we ordered wasn't what had been described on the menu. Crispy chicken curry, had no yellow curry sauce and did not have the vegetables that were in the description. It was good, the chicken was indeed crispy but it wasn't a curry. Also the rice was an additional charge and the $2 extra per order of sticky rice! We only received one order but were charged for two. This leaves the me feeling nickeled and dimed. A huge issue for me was that Newsmax was on the television, really bad choice in my opinion, one that would cause me to not return. read more

Love their food. Nisa's always nice and welcoming. They recently added comfortable waiting lounge chairs and repainted the walls so it definitely has a more warm and modern feel to it. I came here a few times for diner in and take out for lunch. Not to bad for a place in the suburbs. i tried my friends chrispy chicken over fried rice though, doesn't compare to what i love at Rod Dee. Their cripsy pad thai is normally what I get and it's pretty good I would recommend this. Good size lunch portion. DeceNt Thai food for canton but their pricing is shady and high for this kind of food. Brought up price discrepancy twice and giving a lame reason about menu hasn't increase in 3yrs which is false. Love this place. My girls always get the Veggie Pad Thai with Tofu and love the veggie summer rolls. My favorites are the crispy chicken fried rice and the basil beef stir fry. I will say that their spicy dishes are spicy. We generally like asking them to make the spicy dishes mild and that works for us. I came here last weekend with my friend and collectively we enjoyed our food. For appetizers, we had the Thai rolls and they were ok, a little too hard to bite into. I ordered the salmon basil dish and my friend ordered the curry chicken dish. The food was served fresh but a little cool, maybe it was the temperature of the room. The prices were fair enough but I think for the price, both dishes could've came with rice. We ordered the brown rice separately. I think they were a little stingy with the rice because paired with the sauce, it was a soupy mess and I didn't order rice soup. However, I'm giving them a 3.7/5 overall because I did enjoy the flavor of my food. In the future, I would advise that if you're going to serve a dish that is typically paired with rice, the rice proportions should match the sauce proportions. read more

We had been going to Nisa Thai for several years as our go-to take out spot for comfort Thai food. Sadly we will never ever be stepping foot in this establishment again and would urge others to stay away. I was accosted by the owner herself while wearing a Boston Children's Hospital fleece. She accused me of doing horrible things to children, despite not knowing anything about me or the work I do at the hospital. She berated me about cutting children's chests off and doing harm to children who are confused about their gender. This all stems from the horrible misinformation in the news about the GeMS program at Boston Children's Hospital; which is a world renowned program dedicated to helping children and families in a multitude of ways. The owner said she heard everything on Fox News; which she keeps on in the car area. Enough said with Fox News, no further commentary needed. I was astonished at her behavior and the audacity to verbally attack me while I was purchasing food from her business and had been a paying customer for years. It was extremely upsetting and completely unwarranted and needless to say she lost a customer for life. Please consider this if you live in the community and perhaps you will think twice before giving someone who treats people this way your business too. read more

The woman on the phone sounds abrupt, when busy, but she is nice in person. We went for takeout but the eat-in restaurant was appealing. I liked the atmosphere. Nisa's is one of the most highly rated businesses in Canton on Yelp for good reason. The food is absolutely divine. I've been to Nisa's several times since moving to Canton this summer and always enjoy my meals. The mango salad is amazing. It's a bit spicy but very light with lots of succulent mango slices. The Pad Thai is also excellent and I've been experimenting with their curries. The red curry is fabulous. The seafood is always nice and fresh. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised by this little place in Canton center. Came here for a quick lunch with a bunch of coworkers and had some great food. The place itself is fairly small but the tables are well arraigned. The decor comes off as a bit cold and sterile, but it give the place a very clean feel to it as well. Service was attentive, refilling sodas and waters in a timely manner. The food itself was very good. About half our group of 8 ordered similar dishes with individual special requests. Everything came out to everyone's liking, which is always good. The dishes were well seasoned and no one had any complaints. I suddenly have a new found respect for Thai food. Whenever I get Thai food somewhere, I am always disappointed but Nisa's Thai is excellent. We started off with the Thai Wings which were crispy and seasoned well and also came with a sweet dipping sauce. Next we had the Tom Yum and Bkok Tak soup. The Bkok Tak soup was so good with a mysterious blend of herbs and seafood flavors - really wish I knew how to make it. For entrees we shared the Spicy Beef, Spicy Udon Noodles and Mango Curry. The Spicy Beef was by far the best dish. The beef is marinated in red wine - I mean really, how rad is that. Try that dish and you'll thank me (it wasn't even spicy). The Mango Curry was okay - if you like yellow curry with coconut milk and mangoes, go nuts. Next were the Udon Noodles which was really flavorful and not too spicy. Nisa's is the new name for what used to be Mahachai. The new owner has really brought the food to a much higher level. Speaking with her on our first visit we found that she is of Chinese descent but was raised in Thailand. The dishes reflect that I think. The most notable was the shumai appetizer. I could eat these everyday for the rest of my life and not get tired of them. Handmade with a unique filling that was moist and flavorful. The sauce that came with them just took it way past great into unbelievable. For the main course we got two drunken noodle style dishes the names of which I've forgotten, one spicy one sweet. Again the dishes were better than any "drunken noodle" I've ever had. I will be eating at Nisa's over and over. read more
