That's why it was honestly a bit disappointing to learn that they only accept cash tips and not credit card tips. In 2026, most people travel and pay with their phones, including their credit cards. Haven't had this place since it was in a little shack on Kapahulu. Glad to see they are a brick and mortar now. The cups are a bit pricey at $9 but sooooo good! I got the lilikoi one and my friend got the hot kulolo. Both were delicious! You can even tell that it's made with coconut, I'm usually not a fan of coconut. The only comment I have is when my friend and I went the cashier gave my friend a stamp card and she told him to give it to me because she doesn't live here and all he did was laugh and hand her the stamp card. Finally tried this cute little dessert shop. Everything looked so good on the menu but I was craving something sweet so I decided to get the fruity pohaku sundae with strawberry soft serve. I had a sample of the mango and it was super good too but decided on the strawberry instead. The fruity pohaku has fresh strawberries, fruity pebbles and niu condensed. My son whose 2 has some severe allergies but I loved that he could try some of this (he barely has sweets so this was a treat). They're open from 1-9pm every day except Monday when they're closed. When I arrived soon after 1pm, there were already several customers inside. They only have a few tables, so I'm assuming that most people eat outside or take it to go. There was only 1 employee working, so it took awhile for her to fulfill all of the orders. As stated, I came for the Hot Kulolo Sundae for $8.75, and it was every bit as good as it looked like on IG! You can select your ice cream flavor and I chose the Niu (coconut) and Ube swirl. Upon viewing this very interesting & unique menu offerings of healthy milk food dairy free lactose intolerant, nut free, vegan plant-based soft serve ice cream, as well as other healthy baked goods. Although, as always check with the staff should you have any questions as to what menu options or ingredients best meets your needs! Upon being welcomed via their friendly, and knowledgeable counter staff who answered all of our questions, we were kindly offered a taste sampling of their rotating 2-week "specials"-soft serve store flavor options, (less toppings) Hojicha, and their Creamy Lemon. Hojicha for those who are not aware, is similar to Matcha, with the Hojicha tea leaves being steamed, and roasted to a reddish-brown powder form, then finely stone ground). Matcha is steamed, then the tea leaves are dried, then also finely stone ground, while the nice rich natural green color remains. They also offer their "classics"-Niu (Coconut) or Ube (Purple Yam) flavors as well. We immediately indulged ourselves and ordered the Hojicha bowl w/the Azuki Bean paste and Mochi ball add-ons to share. This combo's presentation certainly was nicely assembled, and presented, the pairing definitely matched perfectly in concert, not overly sweet, but yet was a very enjoyable creamy option. This smooth textured soft serve ice cream was so flavorsome, we craved for more, and proceeded to also order the combo-Hojicha and Creamy Lemon (Twist) on an original cone versus the waffle. We found that the taste of both flavors was very saporous, (upon sample tasting each individually), although, when served together, the Creamy Lemon with the slight hint of Vanilla flavor within was a bit overpowering. Overall, a great healthy conceptional idea that truly separates this soft serve ice cream parlour from all the other ice cream store fronts. When you consider their efforts to offer non-diary and other healthy menu options to customers to savor, and enjoy, you will find their pricing equates to being very fair/reasonable. Let's get right to it. I ordered the hot kulolo sundae - sub mochi balls for the Mac nuts and it was to DIE for. DIE. And knowing that my belly wasn't going to rebel in the hour afterward because of the dairy was the cherry on top.
