I used Nixtermite recently for an inspection on 3/5/2024 and fumigation on 3/26/2024. Travis was the one who came and did the inspection and he was on time and very informative. We decided to use Nixtermite for our fumigation because of their competitive pricing and customer service.When getting multiple estimates it seems for fumigation it is by SQFT of your home. Nixtermite had a better quote and gave us $50 off for paying in cash and they credited us for using them for inspection. Not only was their pricing very affordable but their customer service was amazing. I had to keep changing the date of fumigation due to some paperwork during escrow. Jennifer was very responsive and so understanding about my constant change and never gave me grief about it. After making 3 appointments for estimates re: termite fumigation, we chose NixTermite to do the job. NixTermite is a small family owned business, and Travis came out to do our estimate. He was professional, straightforward, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. The were able to schedule us for the next upcoming weekend, and their quoted price was very reasonable. It's been our experience that other termite removal companies would quote something, but ask you if you receive a more reasonable quote to re-contact them to see what they could do. Well, we like to know that someone's really looking out for me so I don't have to play this back and forth pricing game. NixTermite offered different warranty plans, quoted with or without roof tile insurance, applied a $75 off discount right off the top, and also had additional security measures (i.e. big signage & basic alarm siren equipment) to help in deterring any home burglaries while our home was being tented. We were given an after-hours phone number to reach NixTermite if need be during the weekend. The entire process, while inconvenient (to us) due to the double-bagging or removal off-site of all digestible food/beverages, and spending 2 nights away from your home; NixTermite made the experience as smooth as it could be as possible. We were back in our home on Monday at 9:15am, after leaving the work crews on Friday around 2:00pm. Our gas & electric company had turned on our natural gas around 12:30pm, and had returned our home back to normal re-stocking our pantry, cabinets, and refrigerator/freezer shortly after lunch. By far the best termite company I've dealt with. I dealt with Travis Jr. and he was excellent. We went with his bid 1) for price 2) for honest and solid advice 3) kindness Of all the people I got quotes from, Nix was less expensive by a couple hundred; so that was a no brainer already. I did two homes and the prices they gave me were great. Travis, upon inspecting my first home, told me they could spot treat a small area with termite damage, but advised me it's not cost effective. He told me he wouldn't feel right taking my money for something that isn't a solution to the issue I had, where fumigation was just a bit more and would be a for sure thing. He also proceeded to tell me how I could DIY it myself and this is where he won my business. His honesty and kindness and willingness to show me what to do and what to buy ultimately got me to do TWO homes with nix. He got on a personal level, and forgot about making money for a second to help someone in need- if that's not honesty and willingness to help, I don't know what is. I've never posted a Yelp review before, but I feel I must share how impressed we are with NixTermite. (We did have other termite companies give us their opinions and estimates.) Travis Jr, the rep, listened, was patient and answered even the smallest of questions. He recommended wood repairs, then tenting/fumigating. At our Fume Prep appointment, we told Travis we changed our minds, just weren't ready for tenting yet with all the preparations needed. Again he listened, then recommended we do the repairs and use Termidor to treat the wood where necessary. We definitely felt better with this decision. It was a 3 day job. Hector and Ramon were very thorough and professional. They walked around our house explaining what they'll be doing with the many damaged fascias and rafters, and they also did a final walk-around at completion. Their work was excellent! They made decisions for our benefit. Even did minor repairs (like repairing our wobbly gate and post) and paint touchups. Btw, the paint match-up was perfect! They cleaned up at the end of each workday, leaving it cleaner than when they started. And not one nail was left behind. On the 2nd day, Jesus came to inject the Termidor. He was thorough outside, and then came in to treat a beam. Up on his ladder, he even caught some areas missed during the initial exam! He used his painters cloth to protect the room from any drippings. All three of these guys were committed to excellence. We feel we had the best team fighting termites for us! We just had our house inspected, termites exterminated, and wood rot repaired by Nixtermite. It had been a few years with some deferred maintenance. Nixtermite walked us through options within our budget and I couldn't be happier with the result! The team did a fantastic job and the wood repair looks great! I researched MANY termite companies for both fumigation, tenting and repair work and had pretty negative experiences with either the sales rep or the company's credentials/pricing and comfort levels. When Travis came out to give us a full report of all of the damages(which were significant) and offered a solid plan & also Nixtermite was able to handle all of the repairs.(I wanted it one and done vs having to hire a separate contractor to do the repairs, which some competitors offered). I've been in sales for 35 years and instantly felt a trust level with Travis, his knowledge and their team's incredible follow up with everything. I can tell that Nixtermite treats their employees well & truly care as each person I spoke with(including Alexis who works in admin who happens to be Travis's sister) responded with "no worries" as they wanted to ensure we were happy with all aspects of our large job. We were also impressed with the repair guys, Kenny & Ramon who went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed to our satisfaction. We also like they don't subcontractor anything other than the fumigation part, which we learned is part of CA law and even that part was positive! I would give this company 10 stars if I could and we ended our 20 year relationship with our previous pest control company recently as well & Nixtermite is now our pest control service and they offered a solid warranty on any future termite issues. Best of luck to you and your business, sir. For record, I did not accept the refund. *** I utilized this company for a termite inspection, and there certainly are some pros and cons. I am currently selling my home and going through our escrow period. I called around to a few places. I was looking for someone who could do the inspection for a reasonable price, but also come out on a short timeframe. The prices I received ranged from $100 to $75 and some were booked out several weeks. These guys were at the lower end of that scale. I explained I was on a condensed window and needed it done ASAP, they said no problem. Our inspector came out and found a few issues during the inspection. He told us we would have to rip out carpet to do drilling for subterranean termites and that we'd be responsible for replacing everything. This obviously was a big blow to us as we did not want to spend a lot of money. Further, their repair bill was pretty high for what I felt they were offering and the soonest they could come do the repair was almost two weeks, putting us at the end of the escrow period. This obviously was a less than desirable option, especially since I told them the timeline I was on to begin with. I decided to bite the bullet and pay for another inspection by a different company who was recommended by someone else. They came out the next day, found the same discrepancies, plus an additional area missed by Nixtermite. To make it even better, they came out to do the repairs the next business day for about 2/3 the price and assured me the drilling could be done OUTSIDE the house with the same result and therefore would not need to disturb the carpet. Even though we had to pay for another inspection, it was a win (price), win (timeline), win (drilling), win (thoroughness). I emailed Nixtermite to let them know what happened. They didn't apologize, just told me how to pay the bill for the inspection. I appreciate the low cost of the inspection and how quickly the inspector came out, but I wouldn't use them again. read more
