My favorite bagels in L.A.. I love the jalapeño cheese bagel the best. The chocolate chip one is also very tasty. The schmears are very tasty. I like both the fruit flavored and savory choices. I've never been a fan of bagels--not when they got big in the 90s (as the breakfast) and not now after the no carb craze ended their run at the top. However, the bagels from Noah's Bagels were pretty excellent. They had a nice, tasty outside (crusty with a chew) and a very soft inside that took on the spread and cream cheese very well. They were the best bagels I've had in a long time. I tried the regular and the blueberry, and both were good. Noah's also offers some spreads called shmears. I like bagels. And this review isn't about the food. It's the fact that it's a bagel place & lots of bagels were sold out by the time we got there... Before noon. The employees were very nice & accommodating so, kudos to them for their nice service!! (Service = 5 stars) I wasn't planning on waiting 15 minutes for my favorite bagels (sourdough & sesame) so we just got whatever they had on their shelf. There were at least 2 flies buzzing around and one was clearly making a home on the jalapeño cheese bread. That was kinda disturbing. One of the employees stated that customers purchasing a dozen or more bagels are encouraged to call ahead. I think instead of encouragement, it should be a requirement. Ordered salmon bagel sandwich and salmon Salad. Worst service! The gal at the register looked like I had ordered the worst possible order. Abruptly told me it had to be to go since they were closing in ten mins. She asked the other worker if she knew how to make. She also said "let's get these people out of here" right in front of me! Received the order 15mins later. Took the food outside and discover salmon sandwich was without cream cheese and little chucks of salmon instead of lox. Salad was just as bad. Artichokes omitted and a tablespoon of salmon. Went back in lights where out. asked her for a side of cream cheese for the sandwich. She did apologize for the error. Been going here for over 5 years now and I must say, I just can't seem to find a better bagel place for a good price! I've only been to this location but there is no need to go anywhere else, I love it! Service is quick and friendly. Clean environment for such a busy business. It is always very nice to see Felton! He always greets you with a big smile. He runs the place with passion, and I love seeing that. This place is so welcoming! I think I've tried almost everything on the menu. I usually go for a plain bagel and cream cheese (a habit). They're very generous on the spread. They have a variety of spreads and bagels to choose from. They also have sandwiches, pizza bagels and soups. If I'm feeling fancy, I go for bacon and cheddar egg sandwich, delicious! And that "everything bagel", just try it. Cinnamon twist are very flaky and crunchy, my favorite snack. Chocolate chip coffee cake is to die for taken with coffee, you can ask them to toast it up a bit and it's perfect. If you're not up for coffee, you have fountain drinks (pop a lemon into your coke) and juices. You should definitely try their orange juice. read more

First time going to Noah's, typically don't have any in my area. Ordered 2 bagels for my gf and I. My "Farmhouse" bagel came out with no bacon and my gf's bagel with cream cheese wasn't heated at all and had barely any cream cheese on it. I had noticed the lack of bacon when I was already halfway done with my bagel, so felt bad about complaining. I work in the service industry and believe in the art of a good recovery. This is why the 5 stars. The girl at the counter offered to do a remake of both bagels without hesitation and was completely pleasant about it. The food is your standard Noah's menu... So it's good and as expected. Tried the new bacon egg white avocado on cracked pepper corn bagel. Has a sauce I probably would ask for without next time... Tasted good, but I prefer no sauces on my stuff. Great service... 8 people cranking in the back! The manager is amazing, and even gave us the drink for free since the line was really long. The BEST bagels in town! It's like a donut shop. You can buy bagels by the dozen or half dozen if you want to. They have a variety of bagels to choose from like Chocolate, Poppy Dipped, Asiago Cheese, Onion, Pumpernickel, Plain and the 'Everything' (all-in-one) bagel. Indulge in delicious shmears and sandwiches too. I recommend the California Chicken sandwich packed with cucumbers, tomato, alfalfa sprouts and a grilled creamy chicken breast on a Challah roll. I'm not usually a "bagel" guy but Noah's Bagels is a nice breakfast/lunch spot at the MB pier. Nice selection of bagel choices, I usually opt for whole wheat ones with sesame seeds, with egg or salmon toppings toasted. Friendly staff and enough variety to make each visit a unique meal. read more

The cashier was spacey, not focussed, didn't say hello, and of course got the order wrong. She wasn't rude, just did not care. They had to re-do our order, and the girl didn't apologize, nothing. Positive: I like the location and there is plenty of parking, though metered. Negative: I've been to a few Noah's in the past and I think this place could benefit from a redesign. The bagels are the same as any in the whole chain but I was a bit annoyed by how this particular store is structured- too narrow to be efficient. There's virtually no space between the line of people that order and the people that dine in. Also, the waiting area is really close to the door so it made for a cramped experience. If you plan on grabbing a drink from the fountain, it's really close to the restroom so be prepared to juggle and maneuver around people some more. I think they should remove all the bulky table and chairs and instead install bar styling seating all the way across the room. Then it wouldn't have to feel like such a zoo just to grab a bagel! read more

I LOVE Einstein Bro's Bagels and unfortunately there is only one in LA, which happens to be at USC. I'm not about to go deal with that traffic! I've heard and been told that Noahs/Ensteins are the same company. This maybe true, but I don't think they taste quite the same. It maybe that its been too long since I've had a Einstein bagel, but I love their Cinnamon Sugar bagel with Honey Almond shmear. I had the exact same bagel at Noah's and it just doesn't taste as good and I think it is more expensive. Parking: not bad because I went on a Wednesday before 9 and the meters are off. Nowhere in California have a found a true NY bagel but Noah's is pretty close to what it is. This Noah's location is right up the street from the Manhattan Beach Pier, right next to a Jamba Juice. On a Saturday and Sunday morning there is a long wait line to get your bagel - easily 20 minutes. While they move fast and have a good system down, there isn't a lot of space in the tiny store when the line is going out of the door. My advice is to get your bagel "to go" and take it to the park or down to pier to get away from the masses. Many different kinds of bagels and cream cheese (schmears). Bagels made fresh. $5 for 2 bagels with cream cheese. Variety of coffee and drinks. 4 stars for the close replica of a NY bagel and the location; 2 stars for the wait every time. read more

We were visiting Manhattan beach and stumbled upon Noah's. Serviced by Felton and was very impressed. He was very friendly and delivered exceptional customer service. Now I look forward to visiting Noah's Bagel and will definitely come to this one when I'm in Manhattan Beach again. Update: recent experience during the July 4th weekend was terrible. Two people in our group ordered salad and they forgot about it. So, we waited 30 minutes for the salads and they even made a mistake on the salads. When I spoke with the manager, he didn't seem to care that much until I returned informing him of the the employees' mistake on the salad (they forgot to put chicken!) and he gave me a card for free dozen of bagels...it was expired and had to go back and have him validate it.
