If you're around Stonington for brunch, come here. Ate lunch here with my wife once during the weekday, and once brunch. Stonington has a bit of a Portuguese population, so one of your slightly atypical brunch options will be tasty Portuguese sausages; we had a chicken liver pate which was not just great but also surprisingly refreshing. Hash browns with bits of sausage were great (I love hash browns and the food here hit the spot), the bread with poached eggs on tomato slices, goat cheese and greens was great as well (I see a picture here, I think it tastes much better than it looks actually). Another thing: fresh fruit, fresh fruit in everything, lemonade and so on. We also appreciated the home-y, unpretentious atmosphere and the nice service. read more

I've had some really good meals at Noah's, but my most recent wasn't very good at all. Chowder came cold and was rather tasteless. I like the creamy but not thickened variety, but there was little clam flavor (and very few clam pieces). Scallop in the po' boy were well cooked, but the fried coating was rather pale and not at all crisp. Both the sandwich and the cole slaw (which was under-seasoned), featured big, awkward hunks of cabbage. My lunch partner did better with a grilled cheese sandwich, but both of us were un-impressed with the small serving of mediocre restaurant-made kettle chips. Lunch was expensive for the quality. Noah's is definitely a great spot to grab some breakfast/brunch in Stonington. Be warned though, that the staff can be somewhat pretentious... but that's most of Stonington. The blueberry pancakes here are a must. Quite tasty! However, watch out for that $17.00 omelet. (LOL) read more

This was our first time in Stonington and we were enchanted by its quaintness. We heard wonderful things about Noah's, but when we saw it we figured it would be your average breakfast joint in a cute town. Its a very cute place. When we saw the prices, we expected even less. However, there are some unusual items in the menu, i.e. Portuguese baked eggs. We were very pleasantly surprised by what we got. My cranberry walnut pancake was probably the best I've ever had; and for only $3.50! My husband, a true southern man, was quite impressed with the eggs and grits and andouille sausage. My hasbamd and I walked in - and after a few minutes an odler women with dark hair popped around the corner startling us! She said let me look for a table in the bar for you - and did this weird dramatic room scan - and said " sorry - you will have to sit in there , pointing to the dinning room. She sat us and walked away. We sat ignored for several minutes before we stopped a waitress to ask for a menu. She did bring one right over - with out a word and walked away. We had to stop her again and ask for the wine menu. And had to stop her again ( apparenly we had no waitress of our own yet) stop her again to order wine. The original weird lady came back and asked how we were doing. Lets see... no water , no wine , no service - i'd say kinda bumbed out. I asked what the specials were today and she shouted Nothing Yet!! ok.... so we are trying to divise how to order from this patheticly small menu that had nothing from their web site on it. When our wine came ( with our very own waitress) we asked if this was the whole menu and she said - you have the BAR menu. And I said we are in the dinning room - and came for dinner and she said " but it isnt 5 oclock yet" it was 4:55 She brought over the dinner menu which looked much better! We oredered the guacamole - not good - tostitos and a tea cup of guac. - mostly tomatoes. Our garganzola salad was bland - but a big plate that we split. We noticed that every one had bread and butter and had to flag someone down for that as well. The weird lady ) hostess) kept pacing back and forth back and forth up and down the lenthg of the room - apparently frazzled and when she walked our table shook to the point of our water glasses moved!! We notice weird lady writing Specials of the Day on a giant board.. didnt i just ask about that?? Too bad bcz we had already ordered the fetacinne w/ basil ( bland) but the fish dish was awesome ( cod?) fish with avocodos on top , string beans were yum and a good portion of jasmine rice. This is not a relaxing place - and they need to ditch the weird lady and HIRE A RESTARAUNT MANAGER for peats sake!! The deserts going by looked great - but we had planned on going across the street to Theresas ice cream - ( what horrible wiches work there - do not go there) I wish we had stayed a Noahs - even with their crappy distracted service and nurvice atmousphere - there desserts looked inticing. Food is awesome. My husband loves the "manly" thick-cut bacon. I love the steel-cut oatmeal. They also have great pancakes. The service leaves a little to be desired but every time we are in town, we make it a point to go to Noah's. read more

We went out of our way to visit Noah's after a day in Newport, RI. Although we felt fair-warned about the prices, we were quite disappointed about the visit. Our waiter had a difficult time giving us tim ely service-even for basic things like water refills.....and he really wasn't that busy. Bread was good, but an offer to refill the basket would have been nice. My son loved his cream soda and his French Onion soup was a big bowl of cheesy goodness, but our entrees were small and nondescript. Very few vegetarian options, too. My family and I were staying at a local B&B that offered a continental breakfast but my 7 yr old was asking for pancakes, so we turned up at Noah's without a reservation one Sunday morning during the Memorial day weekend. There were a few people waiting outside and inside the restaurant itself was packed. My husband spoke to the hostess who promised she'd try to fit us in and in less then 10 min she called us back and had us seated in a great booth! A young waitress immediately came by to take our drink orders and then quickly returned for the food orders. When our breakfasts came out, everything was hot and delicious. My daughter got the buttermilk pancakes she wanted and they were light and fluffy. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and he was quite happy with his food but I personally think I won the breakfast lottery that day. I had ordered the breakfast tacos off of the brunch menu and they were super. Scrambled eggs, Linguica sausage, green scallions, fresh salsa and pepper jack cheese served in 4 soft shell tacos, truly de-lish! The staff were great; friendly and efficient, quick without being pushy. I loved the quirky art and the whole vibe of the place as well. Really, a gem of a place. We are already talking about our next long weekend in Stoninigton and we are unanimous in wanting to book a dinner at Noah's. read more

We came for lunch and loved it. Very very busy but we weren't in a hurry. Everything seems made to order so the longish wait was well worth it. The grilled salmon was perfect and the Cobb salad was excellent and it seems that everyone was ordering it. They filled the drinks so fast I had to say stop so I didn't get water logged. The service seemed very friendly and the menu had lots of options. Save room for desert as they had a lot if choices. read more

The cozy atmosphere and wonderful waiter made me love this place before I even saw the menu or tasted the food. The menu featured mostly seafood with a few surprises thrown in like Asian noodles. Although I only saw one micro brew beer option, it was a local IPA that was very good. They also had quite a large selection of wine. Of the 5 of us, three of us liked our meal very much, one thought meh (too much oil and butter on the fish and veggies), and one thought her fish was over cooked. read more

I have had over a dozen meals here over the last year or so - most of these meals have been during Sunday brunch. I will focus this review on brunch since I have had a LOT of experience. Disclosures: I am a local and am a sucker for a breakfast with a good bar. Here are my favorites: Bloody Mary: Pretty good mix with a little kick. Can add some tabasco and/or horseradish to kick up a notch. I always order a double and you should too. Coffee: A nice fresh cup. Will add Jameson's or Bailey's upon request. Home Fries: Damn near perfect. Highly recommended Noah's Omelette: Good value, add avocado to make extra delicious. Huevos Rancheros: I love this item. The kitchen likes to throw some Mexican inspired offerings on the brunch menu and regular menu and I come away impressed every time. The breakfast tacos are good but not as impressive as the rancheros. Lobster Benedict: A nice treat when it's on the menu. Nice sized chunks of lobster meat served over a perfect poached egg and english muffin. The hollandaise sauce is delicious. The regular eggs Benedict plate is quite good as well. I have tried a number of their special omelets as well and have been generally impressed - a couple duds but that's the price you pay for being a little adventurous. The place can get get a little crazy during the summer months as the Borough starts to fill up with both tourists and the return of the part-time summer residents. If you are a party of 1 or 2 I recommend heading straight to the bar area and avoiding the wait for a table. If you have to wait you can get your name on the list and enjoy the scene on the sidewalk or take a little stroll to grab a paper at Tom's News. read more

Visited many years ago and loved it. Went back this afternoon and was very disappointed. The ahi wrap was ok but the mussels were shrunken and way overcooked and just didn't taste too fresh. Sauce was thin and bland. No bread dunking with these mussels. Had to spit a few out. Just a poor presentation and wonder how they allow food like that out of their kitchen. read more

My husband and I went here gor our first anniversary. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed romantic evening. The food was excellent! The burgers and sandwiches were pretty cheap! I had one of the specialties and my husband the burger. His burger was the best we've ever had! The server and hostess were both very pleasant. We will be going back!! read more

We heard Varying things about this place. Our experience was awful we left prior to even being seated. We came in on a Saturday rainy cold afternoon and we were greeted by a nasty women who informed us we had to wait she was on the phone and had a party of six ahead of us that was first and she got back on the phone chatting away! I understand waiting for a table but friendliness is a first impression of the restaurant! Needless to say we left and ate at the resultant down the road which was great! So good! Went here for my birthday- the pasta is homemade and a must have! I had the burger with onions and blue cheese and really enjoyed it. My wife and Daughter went in for breakfast. I swear to god the best pancakes I have ever had! A little pricy $30 for breakfast for two, but I gues that is the price for eating near the water. We went there last night for Mother's Day for the first time and were absolutely blown away with how good it was. On a VERY busy day (though we understand that most days are busy for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) the atmosphere was casual and friendly and the service perfect. We had a drink at the bar and the bartender gave us suggestions for a draft beer that was fantastic. She also made some good suggestions for what to eat for dinner since we had never been there. Our table was ready a little earlier than our reservation and we were seated in a cozy booth. Our waitress, Julia, was fun and also took the time to explain the menu and what was especially fresh today. We took her suggestions and were not disappointed. Food and service were outstanding. I have gone to this place for 25 years every summer. It's very consistent and I have never had a bad meal. Each time I take someone to Noah's I tell them to get the blueberry Pancakes, and each time they say this is the best pancake I have ever had. Adorable place in the Stonington Borough. On the priceyer side for the kind of place it is, but the food is VERY good. Friendly waitstaff who are able to recommend dishes for your tastes. Food is New Englandy and has always been fresh when I've gone. Their clam chowder is AWESOME. read more

Everything here was delicious. The older woman (I'm guessing owner?) was very friendly. Staff was on top of it. Kitchen was quick. I've not been here for dinner but have had breakfast here three times. I love the jelly, however the little jar sits on the table all morning and gets passed around to the next and then the next group. Can you say germies? Love love love this place! The staff is AmAZING! Everyone is super friendly and service is super on point! Love breakfast but this review is about Dinner! Totally yummy we had about a dozen oysters delicious! Served with fresh cocktail and horseradish to boot! I had the mussel appetizer for my dinner and it was enormous and super yummy. My husband got linguini and clams also scrumptious! Make sure you have Courtney the bartender make you a martini, mine was so good it was a cucumber flavor and delicious. Stacy was our server and was really funny, sweet and on her game! In her words I'm sure she would say she was Money and she totally was! Mom and I came here on Easter Sunday we had made a reservation for noon; however the Mystic Y was closed so we didn't get our yoga in so we showed up around 9 am and they were able to take us. What a lovely evening at Noah's! After being ignored at another place down the road a piece, we walked out and kept looking for a meal.. We were pleasantly greeted by 2 people, chose to sit at a table in the bar. Our waiter Andrew came over quite quickly and welcomed us with menus and drink orders. We chatted about the beers and the menu. The food and beer were amazing, the service and overall attitude of the staff and customers was extremely enjoyable! We were staying at the Inn at Stonington and came to Noah's by suggestion. At first we were seated right by the kitchen doors and felt in the way of everything, we asked to be moved to a quieter table by the wall and they did so for us. Our first impression was not very good. We ordered drinks, beer and wine and were carded. We were 25 years old and at a restaurant that was a little more expensive than others in the area so were a little taken back. We had salads and for main course I had the Seared Tuna over greens. I'd say, one of the best Tuna meals I have had, it was simply amazing. I do not remember what my husband had, but he was also very happy. The food gets 4-stars but the atmosphere gets the 3-stars. read more
